Considering most players have gotten the hang of butchering Germany as Soviet in the old meta. I believe this give us USSR players more challenges and strategies to consider when the 3rd Reich invade us.
@@minhvo8009 I own the game for about 2 months and I've about 100 hours in it, yet I've not played the soviet union. The update really makes it tempting, but I'm scared of the difficulty you're talking about. Maybe I try civilian difficulty or something
@@gubblfisch350 feel free to practise around some more, but there's no shame in losing. if you're a quick learner i reccommend just diving in the deep end of the pool and give a good ol rambler try. even if you lose first try you will surely survive the second try. if you pay close attention to what happens you should find some feedback your first game to see what goes wrong. i just lost the first 2 months in a war tryin to take latvia: turns out i overlooked some focusses that help with a big army debuff, and my tank divisions were severely undereqquipped. it also helps to click on the combat bubbles and hovering over the dmg/defence values see what modifiers are affecting it (turns out latvia gets a 40% combat buff from country modifiers, idk where though)

It's much more challenging now yeah. The Germans invaded me, initially pushed me back to Moscow but I somehow managed to push them back and win, probably because the ussr gets insane buffs later in the game

I think the next DLC should have an "great empires" theme. - Italy: New focus tree, with the fascist path leading to the creation of either the Roman Empire or the Italian Empire, the monarchic path leading to Mussolini being deposed (could cause a civil war) and strive for all the lands promised by the Pact of London, the communist leading to a civil war and creation of Italian Socialist Republic, similarly to the Spanish civil war if the Republicans win (which could lead to Italy being a puppet of the soviets, which will lead to Italy doing similar things as Spain, or ) with a strong anti colonial policy, democratic path which after a civil war fights for the security of Europe with the allies or any other democracy-lead faction (could create their own); - Mongolia: Focus tree, with the possibility to get involved into the Chinese mess and create a second Yuan dynasty (fascist and monarchists) or strive to recreate the Mongol Empire (fascist only) or stay with soviets and support the communist forces within China against other warlords and Japan or go democratic and either support the nationalists or make the soviets collapse by supporting mongolic/turkic minorities; Other things: - Peru and Bolivia gain the possibility to create the Incan Empire; - Guatemala can reform the Mayan Empire; - Brazil can try and unite South America (gotta spice up that continent lmao); - If Greece reforms the Byzantine Empire and reunites all of its lands entirely (aside from Italy and Lybia (optional)), can reform the Roman Empire (which will have a different flag, color and capital from the Italy-formed Roman Empire. Even with all the features, changes, etc i still feel the same at first. But then railway guns changed everything and now i use them on every game i play i just cant stop using them and thank god the logistical issue is also not as hard to fix as i thought because i thought it would be hard in like delivering supplies but instead you build railroads and supply and its easy.
