Great video; particularly appreciate those who described how to take the panel off without destroying it as I recently had the door panels rebuilt and covered in leather.

Yeah I just did this too and didn’t damage anything. Just had to take the felt seals off

Great video bro. I have an e28 and an e34 wagon. This video was a great help for my wagon

My e34s driver side door locks and unlocks both manually and with the key but I’m only able to open it from the outside 🤔 even with the doors unlocked I can’t open my door from inside. Could that be a similar issue?

Could be a bad door lock or a bad General Module, good luck!

Quick epoxy and a hairdryer is a great way to install all the clips back on the door panel, will help the door panels last longer, will take a while getting it all 100% though, but totally worth it in the long run

Thank you for all the valuable information you shared on the e34 videos! I didn't know the face-lift panels were built better, and the epoxy-hairdryer method sounds like the best way to get those clips on. Cheers!

I think they're called door seals. I think you need to buy it OEM, email me if you need help finding the part number.

Great video! The only thing is that there may be a flaw with the hot glue method for the door. If the car sits outside on a hot day, the glue may melt and start to drip. Maybe something like krazy glue would work?

Yeah you raise a good point. It actually started peeling off again already, I might need to pull out some acetone to clean, and super-glue to get it really stuck down.

My door was also seized shut like in this video but I removed the door seal and was able to pry the door card clips out. then pulled up on the door card and it slipped up. Door card is just fine.
So you didn’t need to destroy your door card…

You got lucky! This door was already damaged I think, but I've also gotten lucky removing without damaging. Thanks for watching!

I have a 1989 BMW 535I ,that the 2 front doors don*t open eventhough the doors are open, much like the car you were working on.

Kind of strange, in my 88 mod I could open the door from the inside even if the lock actuator was seized up, just couldn't lock nor unlock the door, so it probably couldn't be opened from the inside because of the "child safety" switch on the side of the door was turned on. Quite the shitty situation as that does mean RIP door panel... the only thing I could think of if the door panels were good is taking off the glued on top of the door panel (glued only on the back doors), making a hole in the panel under it and trying to get off the child safety switch.... wasn't worth the hassle on this car though...

Plz strip old door panels for parts if they getting junked owner of this car...
