I have knit a sweater from wool and it pilled so much I am too discouraged to knit another. Is there any way to prevent that ? Maybe the wool was poor quality ? I’m not sure but I only wore it a few times and it looked bad already so I gave it away.
I’m afraid that is the way with wool. The first time is always the worst. I use a fabric shaving device once a year on all my knitwear to keep it looking fresh. I know many who do that with store bought knits too. It’s just the way with natural fibres but some will pill more then others do worth looking into the less pilly yarns!
Such lovely makes! I particularly like the knitted cushion, I’m tempted to try one. I can’t wait for the Laura Penrose Stella quit knitting pattern. Do you think it might go on your list?
