Lovely makes this week! I think I’d make a stunning dress with the rose fabric rather than separate items. Something like the Peony. Good luck and happy sewing xx ❤

The sew over it Betty dress would be perfect for your rose fabric.

Unfortunately it’s not really my style but it would definitely look great!

Love that green and blue skirt! Such gorgeous fabric and I’ll have to check out that pattern. It looks so great

I think the McCalls dress for your D&G rose fabric would be lovely with the adjustments you mentioned.

      I think so too!

Your fabrics are stunning. I would make garments that you can get the most wear from.

I think you should make a gathered skirt and a top like the Anthea blouse. Together it would look like a dress, but they would both be great as separates. The whole outfit would look just stunning on you! The other option would be the ME pattern you made out of the solid green fabric. Sorry, I can’t remember the number. I can’t wait to see what you decide. I really enjoy your videos.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me! I also had the ME dress in mind…

I like the idea❤ of a skirt in the rose fabric. Then you can wear a variety of formal and informal tops. The bum bag is usually worn round the waist with the bag to the front.

I would use the D&G fabric for a pair of overalls. I saw someone wearing a pair with big red flower fabric and thought it looked amazing!!

For the D&G fabric, I'd go with the flat front gathered skirt, then hack the bodice from the McCalls pattern into a matching top. (I'd hack the back of the M8282 bodice/top to have a shirred panel rather than the zip, for comfort and ease.)
Then you'd get the best of both worlds: a cute summer set with the look of the dress you like, and then a skirt that could get a lot more wear with other garments in your wardrobe.

      That‘s a great idea, I think I‘ll do that! Thanks ❤️

I think the Peony dress would work for the rose print, from Fabric Godmother. I think it would look good on your slender figure and you could even wear it to work or Sunday brunch.

What about the Fibre Mood Leanne dress for your D&G? You could do a high low hem or long if you have enough. Or your beautiful full skirt and then a simple top or corset type top if you have any left over so you have options. Looking forward to your make!

The corset top sound amazing! 🤩

I love the D&G roses fabric, I think you’d get a lot more wear from a full skirt and your green & blue skirt is beautiful 😎👌 I think you would amazing in super wide leg trousers in that fabric. You would have enough to make a seperate top that would look fab as a faux jumpsuit.
Looking forward to planning our colab 😍
Hope you’re having a lovely birthday weekend 🎁😍

Thank you Julie! ❤️ I think I‘ll definitely go for a two piece and get the most out of the fabric ☺️

How about the mimig simplicity 9597 for the floral fabric. You could also stitch the back closure for a bow or shirring. It looks fitted but has no zipper and the back waist has elastic. I think the fabric needs to be a fabulous dress.

That‘s also a very nice option! Thanks for the tip!

I love the skirt you made and based on what you said, it sounds like you'd get a lot of wear out of a similar skirt with the rose fabric! For the blazer, I wonder if you'll even need interfacing or if that upholstery is sturdy enough on its own? Can't wait to see what you make!

    • @itssewtanschi
      @itssewtanschi  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

You‘re right, I‘ll probably don’t even need the interfacing 🤔

I would do a skirt with your rose fabric (and a blouse if there was enough). The matching set could also be elevated like a dress.
