QX60 / JX35 / Pathfinder - Transmission Drain and Fill

This video covers how to do a transmission drain and fill on the Nissan Pathfinder, Infiniti JX35 and QX60. It covers all years 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021. This video also covers front wheel drive (fwd) and all wheel drive (AWD) models. This is not a flush, and will only remove less than half of the fluid. This will give your CVT transmission longer life, if handled correctly and done at the correct intervals. I noticed immediate, noticeable improvements in drive quality, shifting, and fuel economy after this. Enjoy!
**Please note*** When Infiniti revised their CVT for MY 2015, there seems to have been some changes to the CVT transmission pan and charge port. While the process is generally the same, there is a few notable change, and one very critical change. This also seems to affect some late model MY 2014 models. • 2015 and up QX60 - Add...
1. When you take out the 'dipstick' on the charge port on the top, there is no longer a dipstick
2. The transmission pan is considerably different
3. There is a drain port at the bottom, just to the left center of transmission pan, at an angle. When filling, you do have to open this up and put fluid in at the top until it starts dripping from the bottom. I will hopefully have an updated video for these cars shortly
