I’ve noticed, the hyper analysing stems from my core ocd themes. I’ll finally get to a point where I can accept certainty and then another one will come in. The thing is I can feel how little of control I have surrounding it, but my brain won’t stop. All day I feel this level of uneasiness, like I’m not safe.

That was an absolutely terrific video as always! Btw just wanted to add one more point "the belief of trying to control everything related to body and the universe which is not in your control or which you can't control upto a certain limit" also plays a very important role in building fears related to existentialism and hyper awareness related OCD fears according to me and yes with the other two types of main fears needed to be addressed as u mentioned in this video I guess we can also add the third one "even if I will never be able to control this thing in my terms,I would still be able to accept it and it won't be the end of the world"
Btw "even if I notice this for the remainder of my life it would still not be 100% horrible/end of the world" has became a chant now inside my mind 😂 like the very first thing that comes in my mind as I dispute my IBs is this! All thanks to you Nick

The problem is exacerbated by environmental sounds mixing with the sound of your thoughts to CREATE words (sounds that "rhyme" with words are surprisingly common), whereby your natural cognitive biases create a full blown dream-like narrative, which of course gives the sense of something supernatural in your presence and the illusion of other people's "voices". In addition to the anxiety caused by the feeling of being watched, influenced, corrected, criticized, and humiliated by family, friends and associates (childhood trauma) anxiety is increased by the fact that you really can't disprove mysterious phenomena since we don't actually know enough about consciousnessess. What if our minds/bodies truly are a composition of different people/entities in competition with the each other's egos? I've had words or concepts come to me out of the blue, some of which I had never heard before such as "glass case of emotion") I looked it up and lo and behold, it matched what I was feeling". Instant paranoia set in.

Hey Cleo - I personally don't take it anymore, but I did when I was younger 🙂 It helped for many aspects.

I just started reading the first book on the list, and the bit on page 12 says but all add a but that would still leave you an option for living and enjoying life, can you do a video about how to accept that when your theme is pocd or harm theme

Nick, some of my fears are about performance. I worked on the fear and worst case scenario, so it relieves my anxiety but the questions still play on the back of my head. When i notice im performing good, the intrusive thoughts come out, and i became extra hyperaware of my movements. when the intrusive questions come up, should we just remember our effective new philosophy or should we just let it be?

Hey Giox - Terrific question, we won't be able to remember it like that because that becomes too forceful. It's difficult to explain through messaging but over time we can become less scared but we also need to accept it could be there and bring us away from the present moment.

Hey Sebastian - If you're combating your thoughts with those statements that won't work as a long-term solution but if it's an automatic statement, automatic rumination, that will need to play out.

    • @sebastiancarlile1270

Thanks Nick it does seem after a while combating my thoughts doesn't work and I have to change my approach

To some extent the intrusive thoughts are the result of imagination and cognitive biases, particularly for those of us hyperaware. We're already in super defensive mode, so a kind of mental tourettes sets in. We may be filling in the gaps between what we thought and what we thought we thought since there's a slight delay between message sent from subconscious to delivered to conscious. Environmental sounds certainly muddy the water. Sometimes it feels like being in a seashell. Concentration is difficult to say the least.

Well described....really a kind of mental tourettes happen...with the flood of doubts and questions which r likely answered never enough....

It's also possible that the body is composed of dual or multiple consciousness, vying for control. Alternatively, it's possible that there are some very sneaky/sinister organizations, cults and companies such as Google/TH-cam, who are part of a mind control agenda. I mean AI, even at this early stage of development, has already proven to be extremely disruptive, capricious and anything but based on objectivity, cogent reasoning and impartiality. In fact, it's modeled after the mental processes of the elites who produce AI garbage. The synchronicity issue is also very revealing. I'll have a perfectly respectful comment, albeit very assertive and uncompromising) removed for some mysterious reason (I've noticed a pattern where the most frequent removals happen to be when the topic is around reproduction, religion or sexuality) but quite frequently, almost like clockwork, I'll get a notification of a comment related to something I may be currently thinking about or dealing with. There are only so many times that I'll accept something as coincidental. With that said, it wouldn't surprise me in the least that some of the chatter and garbage in our heads are PUT there deliberately by use of technology..and that secret surveillance is far more pervasive than we think.
