Saw a new guy walk in when I was doing flys who had no idea what he was doing or what he was going to do next. After my sets I walk up to him and ask what he’s hitting? He paused probably because he didn’t understand my lingo and said “we’ll just the basics, bench press, squats, leg kicks (leg extensions) dumbbell curls and preacher curls” I had to explain to him he would feel extremely tired the next morning so I recommended him to hit parts of the body on separate days like back and bi, chest and tri, legs and shoulders etc. I joined him and got him doing warm up to light weight training for chest and he was already sweating and out of breathe which I found motivating since that’s how we all started out. The next day he walks in again and instantly starts looking around trying to find me. Right away he asks if he could join in on what I was doing, which that day was leg day, and man did I give him hell for being a new member 😂. Been working out with this guy for 1 and a half years now and his Noobie gains looked way better compared to mine when I first started out. If you’re new don’t be shy to ask for help, I can guarantee the people there are down to help you figure out a routine or even let you join in on their workouts.

thank god my beginner days were really good. i really felt comfortable at my gym, i had lots of fun figuring out each and every exercise lol. though i did make a rookie mistake and increased my weights way too fast which honestly ruined my energy levels badly. if anyone ever gets a horrible experience at the gym, give it a few more tries. if it’s intolerable, give another gym a shot. it’ll work out. my physique is so much better now and i actually feel a lot more confident wearing tighter shirts.

I started like 3 months ago and now I lift double the weight or more of what I did 3 months before. Its amazing to feel you can improve yourself so fast.
It's true that Usually the gym guys are the most helpful. First time I walked into a Planet Fitness (deal with the hotel!), only two men were in there, and I felt like a lover! They were STACKED. One walked over to me when I was goofing around at the heavy bag thing you can punch. He asked me if I'd used it before, obviously just a conversation starter! I felt so stupid, and told him so. He told me how, when he'd started, he was severely overweight and very weak. He walked me around and gave me tips on various machines, including which ones I would have the most fun with! I really enjoyed it. I wished so much that I lived there. I knew I would have gone often! But when I tried again a couple years later in my own town, I was trying to work out and see a couple built guys walk in. They gave me that POMPOUS look and turned away. I'm telling you, encouragement goes a long way, so if you're one who does judge, don't show it. Encourage those that you want to see succeed, and then watch how far they can go!
As a female, i started going to the gym as well. Cause i felt like my muscles were melting (LOL don't know how to explain) and i think it was one of the best decision i ever made

I come to hometown gym after like 6 months of being in another state and its so good to see the old members just being better and also a couple of new faces around.
Im almost 5 months deep regularly (4-5times a week) and not stopping yet. Love seeing the recognition for myself grow in others the more often Im coming in.
i always help the newcomers,, as i got helped by other people when i first entered the gym,,
Energy replaces from one to another ❤
Love see people giving it a go I’ve been liftin for a total of 2 years ( I did 1 year in the home gym the stopped for about a year then started at a commercial gym and it’s been the best decision I ever made. I’ve fallen in love with lifting again and has helped me tremendously with my mental health.
( sorry for the rambling )
This is just wow thank you these realy help me to get by day by day and I promise the day I find my dream girl I will tell you and everyone here in this comment section cuz I also learn from these what someone deserves to be loved and its all thanks to you😂 Thanks Izumi your amazing ✨️👌💕
And that good feeling when you help them out 😮💨
Asked one guy for directions to the gym
Bro did that and showed me how to ise most of the machines and equipment💎
Gym bros>>>
😂😂the same thing happened to me. It felt good. It was like a little tutorial. Thank you to that type of people. 😊
One time last summer I was lifting, and after I finished I watched a little kid (13-15) walk in with his dad for the first time, idk why but it just warmed my heart
Me walking into a gym as newbie and standing in the middle or machines and weights: "i have no idea what i'm doing or going to do with the things around me!"
This was me today😭
Bro it's been 3 months since I've joined the gym and the bigger the dude is the nicer they are
I always had this perception that gym freaks are rude and bully-ish but when I got to know them they were all just like me.
Gym is my therapy
Well, that's because that's who they are as people, not because they're big. Many of them are rude, just like many small guys are kind, with every physical type of person there's every kind of personality.
I think it's more so that bigger guys feel confident to give advice because they have the physique to back it up.
I have mad respect for especially those who don’t look fit yet, they did well dragging their ass to the gym🎉
Don’t know why people having to be d*ckhead and bodyshame someone who’s still fat or skinny… extreme idiocy
I don't go to the gym but going to the gym would probably feel like the first day of new school.
Actually the only place were newbies are not bullied or discouraged ❤
I started two days ago, couldn't go yesterday or today due to overtime in night shifts. Will go in the morning tho. I feel nervous being with other people but I'll get over it. They are nice, helpful when needed and mind their own business. Ultra W

just started 2 days ago. first day i got nervous and just did cardio for an hour. today i actually hit the bench and even though there were people around i had my headphones in and just focused on my workout. seeing this video and reading some of the comments definitely made me feel better about coming back to the gym after 3 years. thank you guys.
lmao bro ong I did the same. walked in yesterday and just did cardio😂😂
@@crlitohbro it be like that sometimes but everybody is there for the same reason and we all start somewhere! glad to have you on this fitness journey bro bro let’s get it
I can relate to an extent i have around 2 years of experience. And in some point in life i inspired around 4-5 people in starting gym. Its the best feeling to see someone new to gym starting and even better if you were the reason they started.
I never know what I’m supposed to be feeling when I watch these…
Its nice seeing younger teens coming in and beginning their journey, better to start early
thank god my beginner days were really good. i really felt comfortable at my gym, i had lots of fun figuring out each and every exercise lol. though i did make a rookie mistake and increased my weights way too fast which honestly ruined my energy levels badly. if anyone ever gets a horrible experience at the gym, give it a few more tries. if it’s intolerable, give another gym a shot. it’ll work out. my physique is so much better now and i actually feel a lot more confident wearing tighter shirts.
Another person joins the clan of health and wellbeing
That could have been me two years ago but then I wasn't apprehensive to seek for advice and the seniors were so helpfull.I'm 52 now am still a regular here.
I love seeing new people in the gym
Nice work! What’s your favorite way to mix up your routine? Do you have any recommendations for someone wanting to stay motivated?
I used to be so nervous to go to the gym but now i love going. I've been going to planet fitness for nearly a year. Once June 14th rolls around it'll have been a year. I'm so confident in the weights section now. The only problem i have now is getting my diet in check which I'm slowly getting better at.
That’s where I started eventually I outgrew it but it’s a good place to start .
Meanwhile in my gym

It's funny because just a while ago, the playlist ended and it's like the entire gym was empty.
that’s my gym situation too and i love it, everybody minding their own business
love the gym community ❤
I started like 3 months ago and now I lift double the weight or more of what I did 3 months before. Its amazing to feel you can improve yourself so fast.
And they proceed to lift triple the amount you do 🗿🗿🗿
I love your content ❤
that look at the end, reminiscing of the days
Cause i felt like my muscles were melting (LOL don't know how to explain) and i think it was one of the best decision i ever made
And plus most of the time the “intimidating” guys will turn out to be the nicest in the gym
I’m that guy at the beginning of his journey after 3 decades outside the gym… the struggle is real (to lift, walk, hell to exist! Oh the pain!!)
Nice you’ll get to see them go through all the phases 😂
My first day at gym today. 08.06.2023. "Day one or one day". Stay hard boys 👊
im joining from tomorrow and im so fuckin scared n anxious rn. i cant stop thinkin about it, i feel like everyone will judge me cuz im fat and dk how to use any equipments but at the same point im so excited for this new journey
Had first day at the gym today and one of the big guys actually randomly came over to me today and gave me all kinds of tips on how to get gains optimally
I'm starting to go to gym this week. I already was there once this week, and I'm going the second time today. I'll try my best to stay consistent, even though it's hard for me and also gym is a bit intimidating when you're starting out.
You might be the gym goat of TH-cam
Just started today, im motivated asf 😂 hope it stays like that for long..
✌You got this bro, discipline is key
This makes me feel so much better, though at my age I don't think I'm going to be able to go to the gym much because I need to be supervised -_-
I still remember my first day in the gym, it was awsome!❤
thanks i just started working out a month or so ago and even though i don’t have physical changes i’m stronger and am more confident
4 monthes in… finally seeing progress, although minute small back, chest, and arm changes im feeling fuckin amazing and my strength has gone up so much
I've joined the gym several times over the past year, but anxiety has me 180 and run home every time
Gym community is the best community
18y/o. Been going to the gym for 2 months now. I went because I’m currently in my “f it” mindset so I just went; a homie I’ve know since 7th grade has been training me since he has 4 years at the gym and honestly everyone does their thing. I love going to the gym now and have seen some progress.
