I definitely have some ideas. Since Nemesis can utterly take over and alter machines to its benefit, it was easy for it to overwhelm a colony decked out in tech. On Earth the planet is 99.999% wilderness, no tech at all. What remains is crumbling ruins that are slowly becoming inoperable and the systems GAIA and the terraforming system use. Now that they have GAIA, and she has the Minerva subfunction, they can figure out a plan to deal with a high tech threat. My guess? They're going to trick Nemesis into taking over machines and then set off a trap where a high tech solution will not work. They could get instructions from GAIA on how to unearth, and reprogram the Chariot line machines to consume Nemesis. Then there's the matter of Haephaestus which has been said to be evolved beyond what it once was, and now knows how to integrate Far Zenith tech into machines. Having Apollo and Gaia and a few months means they've got thousands of years of human history and knowledge to come up with strategies.
That is interesting, my idea is similar to that they use Minerva to create a false signal of a high tech cauldron and turn it into a AI version of Pandora's Box to trap it and then using the FZ ship send it into the sun. What do you think?
@@JRYYD Heh, my idea was that they trick it into a facility that seems to hold a great many machines or powerful weapons, and then cut power to it. But the end result in both our scenarios is Nemesis stuck in a vessel that dooms it. From the way they described Nemesis I don't think it can be reasoned with. It's an amalgamation of minds as hateful and cruel as Ted Faro + bitter and angry at being isolated with them for decades.
Just like in HZD they could always use the tower in Sunfall to issue shut down codes for nemesis and the third game could be taking over nemesis cauldrons to weaken it for the codes to be effective. 🤷🏽♀️
There will be some crazy solution that proves to be a massive gamble. Apollo will definitely play a part. The story wouldn't give us access to Apollo for it not to be a big asset in game 3. Hephaestus may not like Nemesis taking over and could end up having it's own war with Nemesis. As at the end of the day, Hephaestus' job is to rebuild the world and protect terraforming operations, so I don't think Hephaestus will tolerate Nemesis coming in to destroy everything it's built.
Don't be surprised if in the next game we have to recover something from another one of Faro's facilities. Like whatever it was that allowed the Chariots to not be hacked and at some point in the game we're thrown into a war of machines between Gaia's and Nemesis'. The difference is that this war will be going on all across the region.
One of the big questions left behind from HZD was whether or not Vast Silver was truly contained. There is still the issue of what caused the Faro Machines to go rogue in the first place.
@@Zeknif1 I think vast silver is the real villain of the saga, I believe that in horizon 3, it will be revealed that nemesis is controlled by vast silver, or at least vast silver is very important in the functioning of all Minds in nemesis Sorry for my bad English im from Venezuela

Honest question: Why is Nemesis still a threat? Or at least why is it assumed it will definitely be a threat? The way Tilda explains tells it Nemesis is motivated by hatred for the humans of Far Zenith specifically not the human race as a whole. With all the known survivors of the Sirius colony dead by the end of the game why wouldn't Aloy consider opening a dialog with Nemesis and explaining that? Nemesis only tried to scour biosphere and sabotage Gaia to deny the Zeniths, with them gone wouldn't it logically conclude that it had succeeded in its mission?
You're forgetting the fact that Nemesis is an amalgamation of Far Zenith's minds. Knowing that the Zeniths are greedy and narcissistic, im sure Nemesis is too and will try to take over the Zero Dawn for complete control over the planet.

What if the real reason why HEPHAESTUS is so aggressive was because it knew about Nemesis after the extinction signal woke it up. It figured on it's own that that it's best if it didn't merge back with GAIA because GAIA is prone to being overtaken with clearances so HEPHAESTUS split itself across the globe to make it more difficult for Nemesis to take over. Remember, HEPHAESTUS is one of GAIA's most powerful subfunction, along with HADES. It can secure itself against any threats, malicious codes and disobey clearances which makes it a perfect Security Guard for Zero Dawn.
