    I think the R2D2 ball hopper took offense at what you were saying and decided to back up. Great video.

    Unusual concept of squeezing tightly at contact. Most instructors do not advocate a squeeze on ground strokes or serves. A few instructors do advocate a squeeze on volleys at contact and that makes sense. For me, I think a moderately loose grip works best on groundstrokes and serves. I don't use any active wrist movement on groundstrokes but I do have a little wrist action in the serve.

    The tennis ball cart got bored and went looking for some balls.

    So while you wait for the ball, and during the backswing, you hold on to the little hamster, without hurting it, but right before contact, you crush the hamster.
    Did I get it right?

    Helpful tips. Thanks. My hitting partner throws his racket away on the forehand sometimes, when he wants to hit really hard.
    Is it Ala Moana tennis courts? windy and cool, no wonder the cart was riding wildly.
    Thanks again.

      Your lessons are very valuable. Can’t thank you guys enough. It does improve my technique stroke, especially forehand. I “work”, I mean putting your lessons into practice, with my partner.

    Excellent info ! Coach Kata! Out of 10 being the tightest is it a 3 or a 4 to hold racquet?

  • @mightbefire
    @mightbefire 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    I love your videos, but something's wrong here. If this accurate, how could you possibly use Pete Sampras's two-finger serve technique? Tightening up after the trophy position feels like a power killer.

      If your upper body rotates fast enough the wrist will not be strong enough to keep itself from moving with the whole upper body dragging it. Thus, you will not lose wrist flexibility or power but gain more control! Hope this takes care of your concerns :)

    I am not loose at all, and gave myself a bad case of tennis elbow (almost a year!). I recently took a lesson and the instructor noticed that instead of following through on my forehand, I was stopping the racquet and putting stress on my arm. Wish I would have known that sooner!

    • @revolutionarymotion4161
      @revolutionarymotion4161  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You should definitely work on your shoulder rotation to make sure that the shoulders move before the arm does do avoid further damage to your elbow! :)

    I have a question when you feed balls to students or to start an initial warmup I heard you are supposed to use a continental grip and hit it flat is this true?

    • @tennfunn6332
      @tennfunn6332 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes, when feeding- making ball easier to hit is key- therefore Continental grip and flatter balls are easier to return.

    • @watcher687
      @watcher687 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      A bonus tip for you. Watch the ball while racket hits it! Yes, it’s only possible when feeding balls and it makes a huge difference in consistency. Try it and let me know.

  • @twinwankel
    @twinwankel 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    This is not how I play. All of my shots whether forehand, backhand or serve is done with a very loose wrist even at contact. On one handed backhands, a loose wrist can definitely affect your timing. And on a very hot and humid day, I have to make sure my racket doesn't fly off my hands by drying them after every point. Of course, on volleys or when I have a short swing path, I have to tighten up my wrist.
