The best video on TH-cam on using the hips in tennis. No long texhnical discussion. Short, Crisp, to the point and practical lesson. took this lesson to the court and all my fellows were surprised with my ground strokes. thanks for making suxh a great stuff
Hi, i sttuggle to undestand what she means by push the hips into the bsll.., like, how do you actually do that?, hips only move side to side but she says not to do that.., care to explain what is the axact momement you are doing?
That’s is the topic you haven’t discussed so far. I wonder for awhile, now it shows up that’s really makes sense and crystal clear explanation. Thanks so much. Love it!
I am triying to but i am sttuggling to undestand whst you mean exactty by "push the hips into the ball" ... , could you do another video explaings the mechanics of the " hip turn in more details., i have bei g struggling whit this for years..
Yes was proberly will happen is that you open too eraly (the hip.) and the ball will go out side the side (you hitting crosscourt) line and out. And the stroke will be a week one and with no controle.
Then looks like u hot with your arm only, then hips are coming afterwards. Then power is not coming from the ground,hip,...up...does it? The hips are not involved at all. Hip moves first for half,milisecond...then the energy from your hip, goes to yiu shoulder, shoulder starts moving forward, thrn the energy ftom shoulder, goes to your arm, then forearm, thrn on the impact of the ball wrist. Once its completed the same energy will move your leg over..then the shot is complete. What u showing here,is more of a arm moving, rather than whole structure
by far the best description on how it should be done correctly on TH-cam. Great job. Thank you.

That was a fantastic insight. I was making that very mistake with the hip movement. Thank you for a great video.
Thank you for such a good explanation. This is one of the most misunderstood parts of the kinetic chain.
Why isn't this video more popular. Awesome tip. Thanks.
Thank you! :)
Very clear lesson on how to rotate hips on forehand & backhand!

Thanks so much. Love it!
Pls used a ball to make it more real ❤
Thanks for the kind words! :)
Very subtle point at 4:02 on différence in stepping on open versus closed stances
Love the Head Gravity (Pro) both the gen 1 and gen 2 :) Excellent explanation of hip vs shoulder rotation timing!
I've learnt something, thanks
Love your explanations and demonstrations ... I especially like how you include showing the "wrong way", which resonates with me 🙂.
Thank you! :)
Great lesson! 👍I tend to hit too many shots with close stance and often make the mistakes you talk about. Thanks.
good lesson. take a step after the swing. I wasn't sure about the sequence. thanks
Thanks! :)
Excellent video thanks. Hip rotation is so important in order to avoid using the arm only. Great job looking forward to more excellent stuff.
Thank you for the nice words! :)
like this a lot. please do more of the same with different types of shots. high forehand/backhand, approach shots high & low, etc.
would like to see it demonstrated with a live ball at the end at least
I love this channel and tennis hacker !
Thanks for the kind words! :)

Basically turn the back hip towards the target (ball) instead of rotating the whole pelvis towards the net
Hi Katya, for the semi-open stance, is it the same advice on how to use the hips like you showed for open and closed stance?
Yes, it's more similar to the closed stance when using a semi-open stance. :)
Excellent explanation could even be better if you demonstrate with live ball, thanks 👍
Excellent
Thanks! :)
Very good video, precisely at the stage when i am trying to learn how to better engage my body in movements
