My uncle had a 98 e320 v6 since 2010 and I have so many memories, so I bought one myself off an original owner they’re some dents, some little paint problems, and also a head gasket leak. I really appreciate the time you take to make these videos. I’ve own my w210 for 2 years now and I’ve grown more close to it, since watching your videos. It’s a special edition version in quartz silver, I plan to get the AMG body kit but these pieces 😅. I hope to keep seeing more uploads.
Really like your car, looks very immaculate. Also like the subtle changes, I might have opted for alloys in the original silver color though.
I got myself a E430 4Matic 2 years ago which was repainted/rebuilt from scratch because of the rust issues here in Germany. Unfortunately the AMG bumpers where not available for the 4Matic models here and getting them now cost you an arm and a leg. Most of the prices for W210 have spiked anyway so please treasure your car for at least another 10 years. :)
What a lovely car w210 is. Mine is 98 model with M 112.
To anyone that knows how to work on cars and turn a wrench. These cars are golden if you want a cheap, reliable, good quality car and the thing that makes them cheap is whoever owns it right now. Doesn't want to put up with the maintenance. They're tired of paying $200 for an oil change thats really 50$ tired of the $100 light bulbs where you can just go to a junkyard and get one for $2 fixing this car. There's so many ways around taking it to the dealer or having another mechanic scalp your wallets...... This is literally my sixth w210 and I started fixing cars with my first w210
Didn't know leaking from the oil cap was a possibility, better check my E430 now lol

same, 210 is my Car-repair101 teacher🙂, sounds stupid, but I never touch wrench before I bought my e55. And when I look back, I found 210 probably is the perfect car for new-mechanics as it has 0 tricky design. With a lot of support from both WIS and forum, every repair is enjoyable. (Compare with 210, my lexus is harder to DIY🥴)

Question - Do you have any recommendations on where I can find a OEM front licence place delete for the W124? The part is NLA from Mercedes and EBay has not given me any luck either.
There was a seller on eBay that had reproduced ones but they were pricey, there was also another guy selling new old stock which was also pricey. I think I see both of them still up on eBay.

I recently brought my W210 '99 E55 back to its former glory with a complete 200 hr repaint. It seems your center console wood doesn't match the rest of the car. I have a spare which may match your interior. My car has birdseye maple, which is darker.
Same stuff my 200 e430 sport had lol 5years sold 2yrs ago.

P.S., Sourced the AUXITO LEDs you'd recommend for the '94 C124. .. It's a full-on Colorado winter here at 8,150ft elevation. . The coupe has been hibernating since late November. .. Can't wait for Spring '24. .. Much to do with the coupe. .. All the best, M/S

I have a CLK 200 W 208 192 hp mod 2000 the colour is quartz blue she is my big love.I keep her all the time in my garage and i take her out maybe once every mounth just to go for a coffe.She is perfect like new like she just came out of the factory,inside,outside and ofcourse under.
I will never sell her i take my coffee and go inside the garage to look at her beauty.None has sat in the back seats ever,only beautyfull women on passengers seat.

Nope
The blessing of california is the no winter and salt. In europe where it snows everywhere and they only don't use salt in switzerland and belgium i think, everywhere else these cars rusted years ago.. they used the technique of not refining the metal chassis as much and just use thicker paint to cut costs and it shows.. only letdown of these cars....
Even some of the cars here are rusting
They do use salt here in Belgium, I've had the E200 pre facelift and the rust was really bad, I got the facelift e240 now and it still got a little rust, i'm gonna try to fix it myself but I have no experience working on cars

I wanna say barn find but the owner died...never drove it...was passed on to some 17 yr old... He knew what he had but upon him googling and getting pricing for the maintenance he was scared to keep the car. So I got a 2000 e430 with 90,000 mi on it for $3,900.... The only thing it needs is transmission mount rotors and brake pads😊😊😊
In germany you can buy the EU trunk lid for about 50€ - 100€. If you want, i could buy one for you and ship it to your adress?

You have no problems with rust because you live in a hot climate without ice or snow, right? Cheaping out on paint wasn't such a good idea by Mercedes.
The answer was yes for the first 10-15 years, but now cars that have spent a lot of time outside in California’s light rain are rusting out as well
