    I had the same issue with the lower arm sleeve, and did the same with the die grinder. Not that big of a deal, since I'm not in a hurry to finish it. Now for the sway bar issue. I did a lot of measuring and test fitting, because mine will be a trail truck, and at droop, it hit the sway bar while turning both directions. The fix is easy. Drill a new hole 1 inch lower than the extended hole(the new one at the top), and on both sides of course. Any lower, and it gets too close to the steering boots.

    Don't think I've ever seen a frame that clean on a first gen Colorado, hell mine looks like swiss cheese

    Customer service is trash and the a arm bolt issue is dumb AF for the price of the lift...we are in the middle of dealing with it as well.. checking videos to see what others did . Great video thanks for posting

    For the '09-'12 brake upgrade, what parts do you need other than the rotor and caliper? Or are those the only 2 parts you need?

  • @almondfrias
    @almondfrias ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like a lot of customization for a full kit. Are you disappointed in the Skyjacker lift?

  • @ltx383
    @ltx383 ปีที่แล้ว

    No more content on this bad boy? What exactly will you need to swap over for the bigger brakes from 2009? So far I got the rotors, pads and calipers. Will I need also the caliper brackets or are they the same?

    • @FBoiProductions
      @FBoiProductions  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually sold the truck. It sounds like you have all the necessary parts to do it. The only thing you may have to do is bend the dust shield. The brackets are all the same.

    Any issues with the knuckle and ball joints touching the side wall of the tire? I got some 16X8S with 285/75S just sat it out n the ground and the ball joints on the tire

      I didn’t have any issues. Do you know the offset or backspacing on the wheels?

    • @coldbrews_dirtroads
      @coldbrews_dirtroads 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's gotta be ET10 ..I think that's -10, I'm pretty sure I need spacers for it.

    • @FBoiProductions
      @FBoiProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe you need 4.75 inches or less of back spacing

      It has 4.10 gears so it didn’t feel too sluggish but it gets about 15-16 mpg

      I just discovered the sway bar issue last week.

      If you have torsion bars the lift kit should work. I would also call skyjacker to double check.

    My truck looks more high to the left side, how can I repair that problem 😢

    • @FBoiProductions
      @FBoiProductions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Adjust the preload on the torsion bars. Tighten the low side or loosen the high side. Just make sure you still have good thread engagement.

    • @FBoiProductions
      @FBoiProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most “affordable” lift kits will have a couple issues but we had quit a few. It does have some major clearance and ride quality benefits compared to other lift kits for the Colorado.

      I’m glad you guys made this video honestly. Just trying to make my truck a little more capable and there’s not much love for these 355’s. Also planning on a V8 swap once the 5cylinder decides to take a shit. Subbed just to see where you guys take this truck 👍.

    What a shit kit, the issues and design really are turning me away, may not do a lift at all. Poor quality and fitment. Thanks for doing this video, looks like you saved me a lot of hassle. The v8 option makes these pretty cool and fun to drive little trucks.
