Mariana has to be VERY well respected as well as EXTREMELY trustworthy in order to bring us these kinds of docs. Simply put; Excellent at what she does.
nah, she's a propagandist. exploiting people without paying them and trying to position herself on a moral high ground when others do the same.... she's a narcist
Simply the best at what you do Mariana. Starting your story at finding Tyler and following his journey into being signed and then winning his first fight in dramatic fashion was perfect. The proposal at the end was the icing on the cake. Fantastic doco 👌
When they mentioned Kimbo, I thought for sure they would also talk about Jorge Masvidal. Who went on to have an incredible career in MMA/UFC and for much longer. R. I. P. to the LEGEND Kimbo. And S/O to the homie Masvidal! Can't wait for his last UFC fight.
Back in the late 90s & early 2000s I had friends who lived in a big house who had a big backyard & they bought a new wrestling ring & all of them were heavy into wrestling . One night at a house party 2 guys decided to get into the ring & actually have a fist fight when no one was to get into the ring unless they were actually wrestling that was the number one rule . My friends tried to stop these guys but instead of them taking it out in the street & risk having the police called & the party getting shut down they let them go through with it with mma rules & after that night once a month that ring became a mma fight scene & everyone who came to watch knew they had to keep the noise down because of the neighbors. Once the crowd started to get to big the 2 brothers who owned the house that I knew sold the house & moved out in the country & I mean deep deep out in the country were your next door neighbor lived miles away from you. They set up the ring on there land & from that night on every Saturday that became Fight Night . They didn’t charge anyone admission to come & watch , it was cool to see . Fighters had to have their own mouth guards & wear 6 ounce gloves & one of the brothers wife’s was a nurse so they had some kind of medical assistance on hand , they eventually quit doing it because the ring being out in the elements started to rot away & they didn’t feel like buying a new ring mat because it was so expensive so around 2003 it all came to a end & they tore down the ring .
Bare-knuckle fighting feels more raw and real. It forces precision since reckless punches can break your hand. Fights often end quicker, reducing brain trauma from prolonged beatings. Sure, there are more cuts and hand injuries, but it’s a purer form of combat.
i was surprised how well the BKFC president spoke. He didn't lied or came up with stupid excuses. In order to survive, It is all about calculating risks out of the limited opportunities someone has.
"People just assume that bareknuckle fighting is illegal dudes gambling and all sorts of things, but of course that goes on" he's saying this while holding a Bud Light in his hand lol
If two grown men want to fight, let them fight? If they die (as harsh as this sounds) they die, they signed up for it and I think you should be able to choose that, I chose to join the military, granted I'm not dead, but easily could have been.
Kimbo's legacy fell apart as soon as he had to fight for it. When he was put into a fight where his homies couldn't help when he started to lose, he lost A LOT.
It wasn't a matter of his friends helping him, but the level of competition. I think people underestimate the skill level at even entry-level pro fighting. Street fighters range from untrained to gym practitioners. No one is going to Jackson Wink for street fighting. When you bump up to pro level, those are the guys getting high-level training that block low-level fighters from progressing.
@tinotsutchie watch his street fights. Every time the other guy starts to get the upper hand, his friends crowd in and help him. Kimbo was the Biden of street fighting.
Did I hear that correctly during that first underground fight? All styles are permitted? Sheesh, just pull a Rico Verhoeven on their inner thighs and watch them crumble! I wonder how the BKFC would feel about that, basically turning it into Dutch kickboxing / Muay Thai without gloves.
I would tell Tyler to have a plan B and fall on some education or job trade certifications. Because combat sports such as boxing or bare knuckles is only a season.
Did this lady just put her fingerprints on a criminal’s gun? I know she’s on video doing it, so it’s less of a big deal, but that’s a HARD no in real life.
This female reporter is way out of her element here and it shows. And when you mentioned Kimbo S. RIP. You forgot to mention Mazvidal the former ufc bmf champion. And holder of the faster ko in ufc history. He came from the underground scene.
@lostboysvideovault because sanctioned fighting has been, and always will be, a HUUUUUUGE deal world wide. They're just explaining why my previous statement is true: why do people get I to fighting? Why do the fans love it so much? Why is the UFC still the biggest Pay-per-view of all time? Because this is the world we live in. That's why a educational host channel is showcasing fighting. BECAUSE WE ALL WANT TO KNOW HOW IT HAPPENS.
Kimbo Slice most definitely did NOT make up to 500k a fight in the UFC of which he only had 2 fights in; Huston Alexander and Matt Mitrione.... He earned 500k one time in EliteXC.... 2m of googling could've told you this, L Reporter. Also kinda crazy this took over 2 years to come out XD Tylers BKFC fight featured here happened back in June 2022
If they are going to fight bare knuckle, they shouldn't be allowed to wrap their wrists. Yeah, their knuckles are bare..but the tape writs only allows the fighters to throw harder. The whole argument behind 'bare knuckle is safer than gloved fights', is that due to the high probability of guys breaking their hands and wrists, the figthers have to be WAY more selective with their punches. By being allowed to tape their wrists in these North American sanctioned bare knuckle events, guys are able to throw with less concern of injurying their own hands and wrists. TRue bare knuckle would produce more broken hands and wrists than it would facial injuries on the other guy...
i dont like how you keep making it seem DARK and SCARY. looks like a good time.
Mariana has to be VERY well respected as well as EXTREMELY trustworthy in order to bring us these kinds of docs.
Simply put; Excellent at what she does.
Never give up your source.
nah, she's a propagandist. exploiting people without paying them and trying to position herself on a moral high ground when others do the same.... she's a narcist
Simply the best at what you do Mariana. Starting your story at finding Tyler and following his journey into being signed and then winning his first fight in dramatic fashion was perfect. The proposal at the end was the icing on the cake. Fantastic doco 👌
Tyler seems like a good kid, I wish him well and hope it all works out for him.
Mariana is the best at what she does.. im stoked she's presenting this doc. Nice!
JRE must have introduced you her?
they should have done a special on KOTS
Facts it's hands down the most brutal
Word
jep KOTS is elite. THe guys in this video were like amateurs skillwise
Simon the Savage is one of the best fighters I've ever seen. He dominated KOTS for a while.
Oh Yeah the dentist 😊
When Tyler cried, That hit me right in the feels. I hope nothing but the best for him and he gained a new fan
It's a great day when National Geographic uploads a new investigation by Mariana. 👍✌
Fantastic video. Thank you. Marianna has my respect.
Kimbo!!!! Brings back memories
Great interviews, Mariana ❤
First rule of Bare Knuckle Fight Club: don't tell anyone about Bare Knuckle Fight Club...
👍🤣 becose Tyler say this!
@@ВаняДиренко Who IS Tyler Durden?
Then why do you talk about it? 😜

Oh to be young again. Backyard wrestling was pretty big back then. The best clips are still floating around cyberspace.
Inspirational fr 💥
Beautiful ending
In my country, even chicken vs chicken or goat vs goat are illegal...😂
The journalist did an excellent job! Hats off.
Bare-knuckle fighting feels more raw and real. It forces precision since reckless punches can break your hand. Fights often end quicker, reducing brain trauma from prolonged beatings. Sure, there are more cuts and hand injuries, but it’s a purer form of combat.
The fact that we get free videos on TH-cam by Nat Geo with Mariana Van Zeller is truly a gift. Keeping education and knowledge alive. 👍🙏🏻🤷
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
Very true
Its crazy u just so happend to be filming when they called his phone... 😂😂
Bare knuckle fighting is in Ireland for centuries ☘️
I have watched all of her shows: Mariana Van Zeller ✌️
Same she’s amazing
this is the kind of journalist we need
Old school Vice vibes.
Before they went woke
Bare nuckle is less vicious then gloved. There is more blood but less damage to the brain.
Mariana is one of top journalists always does her research never backs downs or hesitates to go where she wants much respect
Thank you for having me in your video it’s greatly appreciated 💪
God speed to Tyler keep going 🤜🏽🤛🏽
I was in one of these in Cedar Rapids IA, but it was mma.
You can tell by the lighting of the fights/interviews in Thailand that they set that up themselves to record lol.
You flagrantly violated the first rule of fight club! 😢
What is that song playing at the beginning? I needs that.
I never skip a Mariana doc, and I've never been disappointed.
i was surprised how well the BKFC president spoke. He didn't lied or came up with stupid excuses. In order to survive, It is all about calculating risks out of the limited opportunities someone has.
I went to the same school as Nick.
BKFC event in philly this january 😁 wish i could go
wheres KOTS ? its the number 1 underground club .
Streetbeefs better be on this vid 💯👊
"People just assume that bareknuckle fighting is illegal dudes gambling and all sorts of things, but of course that goes on" he's saying this while holding a Bud Light in his hand lol
I love my hometown
Fighting is in our DNA, don't suppress it, embrace it! Legalize and regulate is the best choice!
If two grown men want to fight, let them fight? If they die (as harsh as this sounds) they die, they signed up for it and I think you should be able to choose that, I chose to join the military, granted I'm not dead, but easily could have been.
Everytime there's a new episode it's like manna from heaven.
Bare Knuckle Boxing is a sanctioned legal and professional sport in some countries with fighters from all around the world taking part......
I enjoy watching these! Mariana is awesome!!!
OTIMO DOCUMENTARIO

24/18 can the one in the clown suit relate to ian gary ?
Have to start somewhere
Did I hear that correctly during that first underground fight? All styles are permitted? Sheesh, just pull a Rico Verhoeven on their inner thighs and watch them crumble!
I wonder how the BKFC would feel about that, basically turning it into Dutch kickboxing / Muay Thai without gloves.
So "18 year" old tyler is now 21 years old...this "new" upload is at least 3 years old....
Some people just don’t like their brains
... for a reason, one has to think 😂
Some people are desperate and see it as their only opportunity
in Australia you box with 6 foot Kangaroo as the final boss
I would tell Tyler to have a plan B and fall on some education or job trade certifications. Because combat sports such as boxing or bare knuckles is only a season.
The remaining question is how much did Tyler make for his BKFC fight? Is it even a life-changing amount?
Did this lady just put her fingerprints on a criminal’s gun?
I know she’s on video doing it, so it’s less of a big deal, but that’s a HARD no in real life.
Just because its illegal in some states doesnt mean its illegal everywhere
This female reporter is way out of her element here and it shows. And when you mentioned Kimbo S. RIP. You forgot to mention Mazvidal the former ufc bmf champion. And holder of the faster ko in ufc history. He came from the underground scene.
Real fighting is no wrap around the wrist
rooting for tyler
Mariana is amazing
She's bae
😂😂😂 They seriously have pellet guns. Very obvious
best host ever on the show 😊 so awesome
bare knuckle is the best
Bare knuckle fighting nothing new to Ireland 🇮🇪 😂
bare knuckle should be allowed in every state and country
great stuff!
If you havent been to the fight clubs in Detroit you are definitely missing out on a movie.
I am not forget you❤
Maybe there is hope
Check out jimmy Swenny king of Bare knuckle fighting
I'll bestow my heartfelt pity, compassions,& sympathy upon them all who have to make a living by that way, & best of luck!,,,,,(01/01/2o25)
Fantastic Doc
Shout out to MVZ!!!
You missed so much Mariana....
for over 2000 years we have watched men beat up each other for our entertainment. It's a rough statement on us who watch, fighting, football, etc.
no, it's completely normal and we shouldn't feel bad about it at all.
19 and getting married?? Woah.
Mannered Chimpanzee's channel is a good place to watch these kinds of fights.
Just because you cannot see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Wasn’t John l Sullivan the first American bare knuckle boxing champ?
Bare knuckle hurts and injures your hands massively
Mariana is the real OG. Don't let her hold your gun 🤣
For reels! Those fools are stupid
FINALLY something interesting !!
Why is a video like this on the Nat Geo channel???
@lostboysvideovault because sanctioned fighting has been, and always will be, a HUUUUUUGE deal world wide. They're just explaining why my previous statement is true: why do people get I to fighting? Why do the fans love it so much? Why is the UFC still the biggest Pay-per-view of all time?

Contracts... Mariana hosts "Trafficked" a show put on by Nat Geo
Tyler was not fighting another Pro in his debut
You fall once and that is over? A lot less brutal then boxing.
What kind of person has a child at 18 or 19 years old? It isn't difficult to prevent pregnancies.
Much rather youngsters fighting than popping of Gen 5's and Ak's
Tyler salmon im def a fan and gonna be Tuned in young bull got an old soul and style got the baby in the way and proposed that was dope
Happy

This was made about 3 years ago. I think they just reposted it. I watched it back then.
How can they do an honest documentary on BKFC with not even a mention of the king Mike Perry!
Tell Mike Perry that you can't swing as hard without gloves.

Every southern girls dream boy toy
Rip tyler. Gone too soon
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Its strange seeing the guards standing in attention bolt action hunting rifles
