I am a BIG FAN of Mads Mikkelsen, but can we just appreciate the other actors? Magnus Milang as Nikolaj (the psychology teacher), Lars Ranthe (the music teacher) and Thomas Bo Larsen (the PE teacher) all did an amazing job to make the story come to life! Without them and the stories of their characters, the film wouldn't be half as good as it is! I seriously love everything about this movie - from the actors to the plot and the small details! This movie deserves an oscar and Thomas Vinterberg deserves more credit. When this movie was in the making, his daughter Ida was, unfortunately, a victim of a car accident. They loved the idea for the movie and that's why Vinterberg, her father, continued the movie. If it was for her sake, I don't know, but I'd like to think that Ida would be proud of her dad :-)

Actually i think the dance is telling the story and what the movie is about, in the start of the movie, he didn’t want to dance like he used to, he had lost the life sparkle, but at the end after the journey, he started dancing, sad down looked at the sea, thinking about his friend death, and remembered that he just needed to let go, and enjoy life, then jumped from the seat and danced like hell, wonderful, and made me want to enjoy life even more :-)
It also implies that he might get addicted again, as he missed this freedom and doesn’t seem to find it outside of alcohol. So, although he seems free, it might be questionable if the issue really is gone,.
Yes as with the scene with the young student and the Kierkegaard quote. Through failure he learned to lose his anxieties. I do think it does suggest the dangerous allure of the alcohol and the party lifestyle though as others have suggested. It is an almost perfect ending that way.
If you look carefully when he sit down he doesnt just look the sea but he also look at the phone (you can see only the movement of taking the phone in his pocket with the hand), so my opinion is that he also think about his wife and having a second chance with her and more generally with his life; he decides to change his life and live more freely.
Frankly, I needed this film. Not to dampen the mood, but working in the health field, throughout 2020, I was scared and tired, approaching 2021. I'm just a medical secretary, now. Ain't a hero nurse, or anything. But, it was still pretty darn scary going to work every day during the pandemic, full-time, then part-time. (Can't earn a living from my writing, see?) In the movie, Martin met adversity, and he danced! And he flew! He was able to fly high. He grieved for his friend. But, then, he got a second chance with his wife. HOPE. Amidst adversity- the idea of hope keeps us going. I think that this is the reason that this film has touched us. In 2021, we all need hope. I'm so thankful for this film!

Thank you Thomas Vinterberg for creating such an incredibly story and leading amazing Danish actors in an interesting "scientific research " . It is closer to reality than we think. I have high school teacher, I have university teacher who were under influence of alkohol or other substance, I don't know. They were more articulate than ever, they were more open for any discussion. Did they have a drink before class? I bet they did. So what?
This film is a masterpiece! I love DiCaprio and his art, but I think he can not touch this playing. All of the characters, situations and moods of the tale are 100% European. Every each moment has many meanings, from deep to high. With all respect for American people and culture, no one can understand it with an American attitude (sorry). No judge, it is a simple fact.
I don't see how this movie could ever be translated into an American film, as it deals so much with the Scandinavian view of alcohol in all its hope and gloom. The perspective of alcohol in America is so different, I don't get how you would even start to translate a film like Another Round without it ending up looking contrived and becoming soulless.
I just can't see how he will ever make the premise of the story work in America.. it's a lot about the youth drinking as well and we'll.. they don't - or alt least shouldn't - in America..
It’s one of the best movies from start to finish perfection. The final scene is cinematic magic. Mads is a master of his craft.

I love Madds♥️♥️♥️he is so talented, so handsome man🥂🥂🥂
Such a moving scene !!!!
He is not falling he is liberated, no longer he is poisoned by civilization off he goes flying in the setting sun, to find the self, hold it and embrace it the only closure it deserves...
A great film and stunning ending...🇮🇹
I want to see a movie with Vincent Cassel and Mads Mikkelsen, best actors in my opinion.
It is a fucking awesome uplifting scene. thank you MM and Winter' and the crew.
** sorry Vinter' not winter
I will be happy if this movie is remade in Tamil in India.. With a little bit of local tinge that will fit to our audience here.. mainly let this song remain the same🙏 and few more songs too. "Friends" and "Family n kids" these can be focus few more songs. Nandri👍
All the very best to all the team👍
What's up with these bots disliking all the videos on the oscars channel and posting nonsense comments? Wtf?
I Love this movie!
The story is so full of wisdom!!
Of cauce drunk can't change life!
So the whole story tell us:
tears&drunk&face ourself&
reborn&Joy&dancing like flying!!
Perfect Artist... Respekt Smile
Gigantic sum of emotions !
Why dislike ????
a tribute to•”words” in our common life(s) • a rebellion right chase commitment
Vinterberg = universal Intelligence & emotional writer & instructor
Mikkelsen = emotional actor & DK guy
Thank you Thomas Vinterberg for creating such an incredibly story and leading amazing Danish actors in an interesting "scientific research " . It is closer to reality than we think. I have high school teacher, I have university teacher who were under influence of alkohol or other substance, I don't know. They were more articulate than ever, they were more open for any discussion. Did they have a drink before class? I bet they did. So what?
Magnificent
This film is a masterpiece! I love DiCaprio and his art, but I think he can not touch this playing. All of the characters, situations and moods of the tale are 100% European. Every each moment has many meanings, from deep to high. With all respect for American people and culture, no one can understand it with an American attitude (sorry). No judge, it is a simple fact.
I absolutely agree! I don't really think that an American remake could work this way...
Brilliant!
Excellent Movie... Respekt!
Alcohol really changed Hannibal
Now he will become Grindelwald
Leesss gooo🥳
Wonderful Mads
😍 amo esa película! Lo máximo. Es la oda a la vida
thank you
Don't remake

It's a movie about how drinking alcohol all the time makes you better at everything just like in real life.
This, promising young woman , Judas and the black messiah and the father are the best movies at this years oscars. The most overated is Nomadland
Nomadland is overrated.
@@satyendragupta9824 indeed. Its "a pretentious piece of sh*t" To use Graces words 😂
What's the name of the song playing and who's the artist?
I don't know if you have found it already, but it's "What a Life" by Scarlet Pleasure :)
@@amalien8340 Aww thank you😊
Darude - Sandstorm
Mads Mikkelsen : Daddy 😍
Sådan!
I just can't see how he will ever make the premise of the story work in America.. it's a lot about the youth drinking as well and we'll.. they don't - or alt least shouldn't - in America..
I knew Mads Mikkelsen thanks to Death Stranding.
Smile
What happened to Laban ?
Nice film lest song
Mads Mikkelsen is not even shown how not to get an oscar :(
Un très bon film... acteurs formidables ..,qui donne furieusement envie de drunk.
of course means you need to drink, try it
So Danish for Thomas to Anglify Mads name.
quando q o mads mikkelsen vai ganhar um oscars seus nerdolas da academia??? 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Get woke go broke
dude just commented "get woke go broke" under a movie with a cast and crew of 99% white males on a video being discussed by 2 white males. I-
@@nowitstimetosee18 And there is absolutely nothing wrong with it being a 99% "white" male cast, but other than that yeah.
