The most horrifying aspect for me is that Hannibal does not kill out of anger, malice, or even passion. To him, it is simply a trip to the grocery store.
By seeing the movies, i could add that Hannibal also kills ppl who behaves rude, thats a trait that gets him started, THEN he chooses how he s gonna do it like a trip to grocery store, and performs it with top notch elegance.

Hannibal has no heart in the torture of animals as he says himself. He'd rather eat..well humans. I like that he fictionally does it with the same ease as most people eat a chicken breast, a steak or anything else from the animal kingdom. It's a slap inte face of any omnivore but yet most people are to naive and blindsided to see the actual humor and irony in itself. Which makes me love this series even more.

Garett Jacob Hobbs does that. It's certainly possible that Hannibal does that too with some of his kills, but the show does not show it.

The whole "fresh nothing frozen" thing is not correct. Most things you can and should get frozen, for instance quality meat and fish you literally cannot buy without it being frozen at some stage of the process.

He is completely comfortable in his own skin (the actor). He's a master of projecting intense screen presence, constrained/structured performance, microexpressions. As an HSP who went to film school, I understood what he was doing in the first 10 secs of seeing his first performance (happened to be King Arthur in 2004). The camera never lies. If I was a director he would easily be in my top 5 actors on the planet I would want to work with.
No disrespect to Anthony Hopkins or the kid in Hannibal Rising, but I believe Hannibal Mads is more physically capable of doing the murdering, lugging bodies around, and doing it all with grace.

1:32 Fun fact: The Director hired professional chefs and bought hundreds of eggs for this scene, thinking that it may get a lot of takes.
He did not know Mads Mikkelsen was a juggler and got surprised when he caught the egg in one take.
He didn't. Look for the blooper reals or the one that's mads being hannibal. I can't recall the name. But it took several tries. Still makes it look effortless in the final shot though.

It is a crime that this show didn't have a 4th season. It's a masterpiece and most likely, we will never see Hannibal in this light and so beautifully portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen.
Bro hannibal going through the recipe cards and then in turn the business cards was, for me, one of the most iconic parts of the entire show. Absolutely fantastic way of showing how of how when he looks at people he sees his next meal.

Akasha Maraldi Bedelia was never deemed ‘rude’ by Hannibal, yet she found her way onto the dining table. He also planned to eat Will, (though unsuccessful) despite finding Will’s attitude somewhat appealing. (Though I must admit, season 1 Will Graham? Very blunt and rude.) It’s whenever feasible, remember. ;)
char i see Bedelia and Will as special exceptions. They’re both people Hannibal actually likes and in his own way, is fond of (well he’s just fond of Bedelia. Will, he completely loves) He wanted to eat them to be closer to them, have them be a permanent part of him. his general rule of thumb is eat the rude, but Hannibal just kinda does what he feels like doing. Mads Mikkeson was truly astonishing as Hannibal, so much so that bizarrely I actually admired the character , that is how he got you drawn in to believe in who he was. Truly astonishing!

I feel that. Still hoping Netflix will pick it up now that kazillions are flocking to Netflix to watch Seasons 1-3 they've made available in the last several months. He's outside London at the writing of this bravely picking up the Grindelwald character in Fantastic Beasts 3 replacing Depp, which is not hard in itself, he is better than Depp (who is awesome so that's saying something) but he will have to overcome the upset fanbase that loved Depp in that role. Mikkelsen is the only one that probably can do it despite the fanbase issue, and bc he's European and has "ageless" screen presence he really should have been cast as Grindelwald in the first place, but anyway, let's hope we can get him back in an S4 of Hannibal in between shooting FB3, FB4, and FB5.

I have never seen this show before, but I have the general knowledge of who Hannibal Lecter was. I’m not a person who gets squeamish easily, but the shots of nondescript pieces of meat combined with the eerie lighting and the small amounts of context that I have, made for one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever watched. I have never seen anything on tv that gives me the same sense of discomfort and slight squeamishness that this ten minute long video has given me. If this is anything like the rest of the show, I may have to watch it. This was amazing.

why would you show a real murder process on tv? Even the fact that they used a breathing fish is messed up.
