    My vote is # 5 Sometimes glass can be challenging and I love that they were from your Grandma.

    Dear Joanie,
    It's not the first time you speak about props. I remember a few months ago you made another video with lots of plates, with textures and colours. Since this time, I often go shopping and buy some plates or glasses, even if I wouldn't use them on my table, but just to take some pictures!
    Thank you for being still so nice,
    Greetings from France 😍

    Among your best videos Joanie - simple but functional and very helpful. That you included an interactive element is especially noteworthy. I voted for the big scoop. Though it probably won't get the most votes, I chose it because I think it would be the most challenging and thus the most interesting to see what you'd do with it.

    Super great video! I work full time, and try to find time for photography, but in the mean time am building a mean prop collection. I'm a little addicted. I hit Home Goods at least once a week and find some great things, and also a local city thrift and scored some super expensive dishes on a 50% off day! I love all your props and see many people suggesting gramma's glasses. I feel there are a lot of pics with glasses available online so I am voting for #1 because they are pretty unique. Thanks for always sharing amazing videos!!

    Number one! You can get very creative with those bowls, and the little rust adds some charm to them.

  • @Bumfuzzlethe1st
    @Bumfuzzlethe1st 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would say #2 because a challenge is always a good learning experience. But the scoop also sounds good. A thought I just had would be something baked on a pan and the scoop somewhere in the background or side with some flour spilling out of it. And then there's those beautiful antique bowls, I just really like those visually.

    Loved this video Joanie. It’s a topic that goes straight to my heart. I have a bit of a prop addiction. I also waited forever for my MMClay dishes, but it was so worth it. My favourite is the Moonstone colour. For darker moodier shots, it seems to go with everything! Can’t wait for next week’s video.

  • @elenigemeni818
    @elenigemeni818 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Such a lovely video!! I voted for #1 since I find all kinds of vintage enamel bowls from France and don’t really imagine what else I could photograph with them expect soup and fruits. The copper small dishes look great with roasted uncut champignons, roasted shrimps or any other recipes for ‘petites cocottes’. The scoop gave me an out of the box idea to be used as a serving tray with the belgian style french fries and maybe a juicy tall burger or stacked mini bagels or crusty croque monsieur. Can’t wait for your next video‼️

    Near me here in Atlanta, we have a large Kroger grocery store that often stocks very interesting dishes, bowls, plates, etc. So every time I shop for groceries, I check out that section because I never know what they will have next. About 20 years ago, they had some high-end German crystal glassware and decanters so, of course, I picked up a couple pieces.

    thank you for an amazing video as always! I have a question if you don't mind: you said that there's nothing in the world more satisfying than when you shoot for a customer and you've got the perfect prop. Well, if you don't have the perfect prop, are you the one responsable for finding it and buying it? or it's the customer responsable? Ever happened that a customer gave you specific props to work with?

    I keep picking up cool pieces around down, most often incidental findings at thrift shops, or home shops like world market, pier one, or Marshall’s. 🙋🏾‍♀️I have two main questions: #1 How do I store and organize my props #2 Are there any tricks to planning shots on a budget... like do I have to go spend $50 on food to shoot that will just go waste after 😕 Please help...I am obviously a novice at this FOOPHO thing🤓
