Thanks for posting this, my previous 2013 super dutys had the sony and subwoofer, my 19 King Ranch has the new B/O system and it sucks. Wife got me some new Kicker speakers and I am doing the install this weekend. Thank you again, was worried about the door panels as Crutchfield didnt have any instructions available for my truck. Cant wait to have a decent sound again.
I actually bought a center speaker and still have it. I never installed it though since I was very impressed with the upgrade in sound with these speakers. I'm sure it would make a small difference but not much and to me not worth the hassle. The big sound change comes from the 4 door speakers. They add significant bass, nearly have eliminated all the insufficiencies of the sony amp and provide more crisp kids and high notes. Hope that helps.
Just a comment for someone who's wanting to do this to their truck. First, get some sound deadening adhesive mat and cut it to the shape of areas of the door then peel, stick and use a roller to ensure it's adhered. This will reduce road noise as well as ensure there's no rattle especially if you amplify your speakers. Second, buy some Hercule's Tape which is a double sided adhesive tape to place on the adapters in addition to the screws and you definitely won't ever have to worry about them coming loose. You can buy the Hercule's Tape off of Amazon.
Hi there...I actually found that I could get the fronts cheaper on Crutchfield and the rears were less on Amazon. Prices do change all the time but it was worth it to shop both places...I think I saved around $30 by splitting the purchase.

@@shepherdbrooks Yes you can. The factory speakers are a joke. I had the Sony system and the difference in weight and quality of material of the stock speakers (at least to the JB's) is not even in the same league. So for a pretty inexpensive investment you actually now get some decent bass at each door and the highs are much crisper. I love my music and unless someone is looking to maximize the bass to listen some hip hop then this is a really nice upgrade.

Thank you for posting the video, very helpful for front door panel removal! Hey I noticed when you were installing the new rear speaker in the rear door, around 19:20, is the speaker wiring harness connection not made inside of the door cavity? Seems you had to run the speaker wires outside of the door cavity, so the wiring connection is made up between the steel door and the plastic interior door panel. If this is true do the speaker wires get pinched when the speaker adapter plate is screwed to the door? Did I see this correctly?
Hi Alex...I am not 100% sure these will fit in a 2019...they fit with plenty of room on a 2017 though. If you were asking me to guess if they would fit I would say yet as there is quite a bit of room on the 2017...but I cannot give it a 100% on a 2019. Thank you.
I do...I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. I am driving a loaner 2019 F150 with the B and O and I will say this...IMO it is a pretty decent improvement over the Sony system Ford used to install in the trucks. Bass is better all around...from the sub and the doors and the highs are a bit more crisp. Not sure if you have taken delivery of your 2019 yet but I'm sure the Super Duty B and O is the same as the 150. Depending on what you are trying to achieve you just may listen to the B and O and feel like its enough. Satellite radio fidelity stinks in any vehicle...but when I blue tooth my songs from Apple music I'm pretty satisfied with this new B and O...at least compared to the old Sony "premium" system Ford used to us. Hope that helps.

Just put in all LEDs all around in it tonight and I love them so far. Mine is shown on my little primitive channel lol ...it’s the grey (magnetic) one.

You can change all that in your settings. Ambient lighting is on the last page of the settings I believe, I'm not currently looking at my truck but it will change the color in the doors. That's assuming your vehicle has it. I don't know if certain models have it and some don't.
Turn down yr treble big time. Mine is 2 digits from being all the way left and it sounds awesome on factory. 😁👍 My Bass is 2 digits down from right to.😁👍

Sorry for the delay...I was out of town for Thanksgiving. Mine is also 2017 and it has the Sony system. I believe the 2019's and up are now B and O's. My truck is a Lariat with the ultimate package. This easy and cost effective speaker upgrade, I believe, would satisfy most people. If someone is looking for hard core upgrades and is used to adding aftermarket amps, crossovers, etc then this speaker swap won't satisfy. In my opinion if the Sony system came like this from the factory it would eliminate nearly all complaints from 98% of the Super Duty population. The added bass, added clarity, and added ability to handle the sound at higher decibels is pretty amazing for the price. Hope that helps!

The 2019 f250 has a more shallow speaker depth that 2017. You sure these fit 2019?

Were you able to keep the tweeters in your pillars working?

How did you change the color of the screen? When you change the volume, yours is showing a red color, mine is showing a blue.

Never do this way, you show us to fix the screws with a big Motortool around the speaker ! If the drill slips, the expensive speaker is broken !!!
