Same motor as the avalon, the avalon would probably be a tab bit slower though
No it isn’t just the same engine and similar styling

0-60 on my avalon is quite a bit faster than the third one there. I think its because some of the years went slower through first or used traction control to avoid wheel spin
The fastest to me was the 3.5 V6 04-12 and the last one

That first Avalon is down on power bad
Yea it's not entirely fast, especially for modern standards, but it's not a slug either. This is how a lot of the toyota v6s were at that time.. although this particular first gen avalon has seen some mileage and has an engine light, whatever that code is can also be interfering with its acceleration. Still, I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon , and I threw on a dual Upower muffler and cut the resonator and she sounds like a race car lol. Pretty fun to drive especially with the sound.
@@ieattires9928 I have a 1997 Avalon xls with the spoiler the avg 0-60 when it was running even with an engine light was 6.8-7.0 stock and it has 182k miles
i just uploaded a short of my 1999 doing a zero to 100. smoother pull but i think its pretty similar
@@jeekboi I just watched your video and she's definitely missing some horses try putting some catalytic converter cleaner in it
@@jeekboi also for a better launch turn traction off and launch it at 1500rpms
