Can we take a moment to appreciate just how amazing this game sounds? Everything from the OST, to unit speeches, to even the research, add-on alerts and so on. I often listen to playthroughs as background noise while doing something else, it's just that mesmerizing. Thanks for the uploads!

Loving the talent behind these videos. I myself am not a very good player but enjoy these games regardless and you are showing me a multitude of strategies that I had not considered before. Thank you for your time and effort on these videos and double thank you for the lack of commentary. Commentary works for certain games but I do not think it has a place in ones such as this.

Turned the Necrons into scrap! I'm struggling at a normal IG campaign, but watching this may have helped me figure out how I should play them. Great video!
The imperial guard, or any army, are easy to set up. Grab a few strategic points at the beginning and use the turtle method to build up your army. Once you have a large enough force, then move against the enemy.
There is an addon for Ultimate Apocalypse mod, which makes it available for Single Player campaign.
Tried it myself yesterday, it was pretty fun, but somehow it felt easier than vanilla DoW.

THANK YOU for using right click reinforcement. I can't explain it, but it drives me crazy to see other players continually highlighting squads and manually clicking the reinforce button. I guess I can kinda see how that would be good if you only want to spend resources you have at the time, but when you have thousands, there's no point not to have it automatic.

I can tell that you played IG a lot. I'd wager they might even be your main in DC, because I'm seeing ladder tactics, executed to perfection.
I also love how you picked the Targeting Optics as first wargear piece -- people think it's redundant if play Guard, due to how much detection they already possess, but the extra range, damage + synergy you later get from the Plasma Gun (wargear) and Kasrkin bodyguards (wargear also), can't be underestimated! Also, picking the "utility items" next, as opposed to armor or weapons is a sign of tactical brilliance as well.

Ig are so difficult so play than others. Other races are easy compared to Ig
I think it’s all experience, I find them easy but then I don’t really play anyone else.

I find Eldar the hardest despite how strong they are. My apm and unit management is too poor. I am not good at utilizing the speed and stealth and end up dying since eldar units are wet paper. But it's the only race I don't play lol
That bad morale makes it difficult. But bring the karskins and oregon and you're golden

Holding shift allows you to select multiple points and they will follow the order also works for movement
Did you already play the imperial guard before on dark crusade?

Hello i do not know if someone will see that but I always have the problem that defending a province is impossible if not fortified to all hell. The ai immediatly gets like 3 dreadnoughts and 7 landspeeders and a ton of elite infantry. maybe its just my version of the game but i want to know if its a bug or intended that way

That would be the game as intended. AI is very limited, especially in strategy games, and so to compensate on high (or even just average) difficulties they'll cheat. Higher starting resources, increased resource gain, faster production, always aware of player units, buffed unit stats, and AI alliances are common methods of AI cheating. DoW is no different.
I always just have a completely finished complete base tech wise with at least 6 power generators, but usually more like 12 (build a second command center and you unlock the ability to build 6 more generators.)
I do that and then set up a choke point and it basically doesn't matter how much crap they have, my economy/defensive setup is going to be to crazy for them to deal with.

Murdering that SM captain at 1:07:34 was very lore accurate considering in one novel a regular joe killed a SM Captain by skewering him through his eye socket into his brain so that fix bayonets takedown was truly a whiff of nostalgia

They gave it down to a science really. Throw enough bodies and use enough laser pointers that eventually the problem goes away.
The imperial guard is effective with the officers attached to each of the groups and with heavy tanks backing them up. Or if you like, start off using only six imperial guard units then add officers to them.
Fast economy and early mass. It requires a lot of macro attention against AI because it plays so sporadically and can always macro and micro way better than you ever could. Fast economy because that means fast squad replenishment even if guardsmen are dying in droves, but since they and their commander type units are dirt cheap compared to other races, you just mass them from the early and spread them to take over parts of the map. You BADLY need req at the start. More than any other race exactly BECAUSE you constantly have to replenish troops AND tech up because without Tech IG are so bad it's not even funny.
Next, use the tunnel/fast travel system IG have between their production buildings and listening posts. That means that you can quickly send in the entire regiment across the map at any time. IG's scariest potential, like Necrons, is being able to instantly get troops to travel the entire map in mere seconds. Which means any strategic point and production building can potentially dump out up to 3 squads of guardsmen at any moment. Plus staying inside these buildings allows you to fire from them, kinda like bunkers from starcraft, and any unit that goes in provides firepower, even engiseers. Use heavy weapons teams to further entrench and fortify positions and provide further fire support when you're holding the line. Guard are pretty defensive until they can tech up, so Heavy weapon teams help with that immensely. Karskins and Ogryns are incredibly tough and work extremely well combined together as flankers. And Ogryns can get melee heat off the rest of the infantry.
Lastly. Tanks. Tanks are your men's best friend. Without tanks you cannot hope to stand against later game units of other races. It takes you 3 squads of Guardsmen just to push back upgraded Marines and other Heavy infantry, and if they get engaged on in melee they will immediately break. This is why you need tanks and artillery. The baneblade itself can hold the line for quite a while. If supported by the rest of your forces, nothing can stop a push like that. If you reach that point, you've won

The lighting in this game isn’t very good... all the infantry just look like dark silhouettes

I hate these kind of Campaign. They are NOT campaign i thought it would be. Dawn of war original Space Marine is masterpiece. Full and exicting story. This dlc feels like an offline battle with AI, lol.
