Great battle report. I've recently recruited a friend to get back into the hobby and viewed a lot of battle reports from different channels and game systems in the last weeks. And while I love the variety we as consumers have to choose from, the production value, narrative and the building of suspense for the 40k in 40 minutes series is way above most other alternatives. Thank you for spending all that effort and the great entertainment!
So happy to have found you guys. Watching your games is so entertraining. The editing in your vids is the best in all of wargaming-youtube because the games are fast and down to the important stuff. No watching you guys count dice without end. Its just soo good.
@@nak3dxsnake been playing since late 4th and I wish we had a channel like this...Blue Table started it all, but guys like PlayOn and MWG made it awesome.
I need to say, it has been about 10 years since I stepped away from playing any tabletop games, but watching your videos like this (and literally binging them for the last few days), has rekindled the excitement I had for the game.. and may already be eyeballing a Black Templar army. Well done Gents, well done!
Well done! This is my ideal Battle Rep format. It's well done, with great editing with sound and graphic effects, fast-paced - done in 45 minutes, player asides for what they are thinking/feeling, good close-ups as well as board overviews, quick reviews on objectives and VPs, it's really well done. Having a narrative to summarize things to speed up the video is a great idea too! Maybe I missed it, but it seemed like the Neurothrope only ever did 1 power a turn, and it seemed like the Zoanthropes only did 1 power the entire game.
To be fair, Zoanthropes only ever get to cast 1 per turn now and honestly with a +1/ model to cast and +1mw/model (to a max of 3bonus Mortal Wounds) Smiting is the best option with Zoanthropes. As for the Neurothrope, a lot of times he was out of range for most of his spells but when things were targetable he did what he needed to. I find that with only. a pool of half a dozenish spells redundancies are good but limiting on spells to cast since there are some MUST have spells and some okish spells.
@@MubinTalati Fair enough. I may have missed it, or maybe it was edited out, but it seemed like the Neurothrope would do Neuroparasite but no smite, and then the Zoans I only saw 1 super smite (and no others) on the guardsmen. The Zoans did fall back turn 4 so no powers then. Probably I just missed it then. You were there so you know what you did. Good game! I hope to see more!
The "Starship Troopers" matchup is one of my favorites. I remember seeing a picture in what I believe was the old 3rd edition rulebook? And there was a beautiful diorama of Nids charging into some Guard. I was sold on the game lol... God I feel old
Turn 2 saves and unlucky rolls on Nicks Volcano cannon prevented that from being an extremely one-sided match. Quick count - the Tyranids made 21 of their 4+ saves and only failed 15. That Volcano cannon only needed one more hit to one-shot that backline Tyranofex which would have basically crippled the Tyranid army. One more failed save on the Hive Tyrant would have knocked that out. Honestly the new Guard are looking great, genuinely able to compete in the battlefield with some of the strongest armies out there. Well played.
