Bought my 2018 used in 2020 with 4k miles. Loved it from day one after being away from riding about 20 years. Reluctantly trading it in 2 years later with 26k miles, after improving some aspects for a bit better interstate traveling but had to trade it in for a 2020 Kawasaki Vaquero due to the desire for cruise control, ABS, and better buffering control. But once the Vaquero quits operating, and if I'm still riding, I'll get me another C50T or equivalent and just leave it stock.
I HAVE A 2005 ABOUT YOUR CLUNKING SOUND FROM YOUR TRANNY? I USE MOBIL ONE RACING 4T 10W-40 MOTORCYCLE OIL AND NOTICED A QUIETER AND SMOOTHER SHIFTING OVERALL, HAS BEEN SINCE USING IT A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. I HAVE 38,000 MILES ON HER RUNS LIKE A 🏆 CHAMP!!! HOPE THIS DOESN'T S HELPFUL??
Got a used 05 model recently. Thankfully it had good maintenance done. Runs better than the V- Star I had in the past. Appreciate your honesty in the review. I agree with the seat comfort issues for long distance rides. And your spot on about the shifting " clunk". It's not a mechanical problem. No problem on the Interstate, got me where I was going. It gets me to and from work, rain or shine. Plus it's not a gas hog. The reserve is ample & got me a lot further than expected. Ride safe 👍👍This bike is worth its price.
@@dalezygadlo9693 thanks. I just got back from a 600+ mile trip. (1100km). My C50 ran awesome and never missed a beat even riding two up with luggage. I love it.
Nice video. I bought a new C50T last year after selling my Harley Ultra. I got tired of handling a 900 pound motorcycle. Yes I'm giving up the top end of that Harley, but I enjoy the agility of the C50T. I've come to appreciate going 45 mph on back roads more than doing 100+ on the highway.
I'm considering the same iv had my 2007 heritage classic for about 6 months. I'm already tired of its waight. Love the power but most of my driving is 2 lane rode's 55mph speed limits. How is youres as far as interstate? I like crazing 70-75 maybe some 80mph but mainly 70's
@@tommylogan6600 My C50T will cruise at 70-75 no problem. It's top speed is 92mph (measured with GPS). If your riding is mostly 2 lane/55mph with occasional 4 lane/70mph riding, you will love the Boulevard C50T.
@@rickmcvicker3248 majority of my ridding is 55mph back roads I do injoy hitting the interstate from time to time but back roads is my main thing. I couldn't get my heritage over 90 last weekend but it cruzes at 75-80. I'm looking at the c50t for a comutting bike or the vulcan 900. The c50 in my area in very good shape and low miles run $35-$4500 all day. There both very nice looking bikes but seam to lean to the c50 a little more
Bought a 2019 C50 last year. Had 142 miles on it. Had an 84 Susuki. Ole Blue is going to my son. My new scooter is great. Very comfortable, low maintenance. Love hitting Idaho mountains with it. Very happy with my C50.
I owned an 06, C50, and loved it. Sold it at 40K miles and never had an issue. It rides 2up just fine, rides 65/70ish just fine. Runs about 5000rpm at 70ish but will do it all day long. Good bike. I currently own 2 Harleys and a n 06 Yamaha Stratoliner. My tires went about 16 to 18K miles. Loved my Zook.
I’ve had mine about two years now, and I’d say your review is SPOT ON. I’ve owned many bikes but none better. Wishing you many more happy miles, (sorry Kilometers). Look forward to your next ride. Happy Trails!
I bought a c50 brand new a couple years ago, I’ve been contemplating upgrading this year to keep up with my friends on their Harleys but your video reminded me why I love my bike. It’s simple yet gets the job done, they pull away from me sure when we pass traffic but my bike was $10,000 out the door brand new. Cheers from Gander my friend!
I have had my c50 since 2016 and I still love it. My wife rides with me and we still find it great. It is no speed demon , but it definitely gets the job done, Even with two up. Ride safe my friend. Thanks for subscribing. 👍
I have been riding my 2014 C50T (2 tone black cherry / pearl) and love it so far. It is my 5th cruiser over 40 years. I was concerned I would want more power, and I do sometimes on the highway, but I do not do the highway all that often. I had to put handlebar risers on so it fit me better, and I am so comfortable for my long 200-300 mile rides. My seat is great and I did install a rider back rest. The bike handles so easily and is smoothe. After about 5000 miles in 2 years, I have had very very little problem mechanically. No bike is perfect, and my bike is great.
I had to do some adjusting to the handlebars as well, but it is great now. Did a 3300km trip last fall and had zero problems. It is not awesome on the highway, but will do everything i want/need it to do. Ride safe.
I never understood why so many videos are out there of people who feel it's okay to bash the Suzuki c50. You don't like it don't buy it....... If you want something faster by something bigger, if you want something slower. You don't like cruisers buy a damn sports bike. The c50 does what it does, and it does it well. Not to mention it's pretty damn dependable.
I looked at bigger bikes but always think that my C50 does everything I need. Plus I've had preventive maintenance done so even though it's practically bulletproof it's even more so. I've always been a cruiser style. Timeless, any C50 you see old or new is pretty much the same-which is a good thing. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Enjoyed the video. I have a 2008 C50 Converted to a Trike. I’m Hot Texas I run Mobil 1 15/50 synthetic. I have very little clunk in the gears. When it starts clunking it’s usually time to change the oil. God is good!!!!
I had a C50T for 2 years. Bike LOOKS great. Unfortunately it really needs a rear disk brake (I can't believe they use a drum from the 1990's). If you have a passenger, the brakes are almost useless. Definitely needs more power too, no passing power on highway at all. But, it really is one of the best looking 800cc cruisers out there.
Great video. I have a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic. I got it used, very cheap, with under 10k miles on it. Added a passenger backrest and luggage rack. $3800 out the door, including tax and shipping. I bought a pair of Viking bags, which I have to mount, and the bike came with a Mustang saddle, which I love. Happy riding, be safe and God Bless you!’
I have a 2012 Boulevard C50T “Classic”. I also owned a 2006 C50T with the saddle bags and windshield. Love these bikes. I keep hoping they’ll put a 6-speed and all L.E.D. Lights at a minimum. This is 2022…it’s time.
Hired one for a weekend and incredibly impressed with the handling expecting it to be a lot harder being a cruiser; loved the exhaust note with stock pipes, quiet and deep with a nice throb. Good power and torque, fast enough for the open road and for overtaking trucks etc. Ive heard some with after market louder pipes and they sound 'poppy', definiely not suited to this bike (Harley's sound good with sports pipes if not too loud but not the Boulevard, in my opinion) Definitely serious about getting one down the track. (Riding Honda CBF250 at present, which is good but a little slow on the highways here in Australia)
After 17 years and 50,000 miles, I put a new clutch on my C-50. I noticed the shifting smoothed out. I had never adjusted the clutch via that little locking screw under a chrome cover, didn't even know it existed. Maybe adjusting that could help the shifting, and should be an infrequent but routine maintenance task.
Hey Cruisin, greetings from Down Under. I bought a C50 in Feb 2020 and have found it a pretty good bike. These are my thoughts on it's pro's and con's. I love the look and feel of the bike. Classic styling with a big bike look but manageable weight and nimble handling. I'm 5'9" and it fits me well. Adequate power for most riding however I find it lacks overtaking power when at highway speeds. I wouldn't recommend it for 2 up touring unless both are fly weights. Also, not geared for the freeway. Also also, not a big fan of the exhaust note. I can get 300km's out of mine when I'm riding for economy so pretty happy with that. Personally I find the gearbox smooth unless I'm changing gears too early in which case it can be clunky or notchy. Rev matching is always a winning strategy. Easy maintenance on regular items. Good access to oil and air filters. Less frequent items such as plugs and tappets are time consuming. Brakes are underpowered. I installed a braided line to reduce line loss but still very ordinary. Finish of mine is pretty ordinary. In the right light you can see the tank halves and some of the lower body chrome is of a somewhat low standard. I agree with you on the seat. A mate lent me an Air Hawk, he might not be getting it back. Made a BIG difference on long rides. The big thing to remember about the C50 is that it is a budget cruiser and needs to be judged as such. Mine was 5K in 2020 with 38k on the clock. I think it would be hard to beat for the money. All in all a well balanced mid sized cruiser.
I had one as my first ever motorcycle for the first year. It was a great learning bike without a gear indicator, so i learned to track the current engine gear in my head. It is lousy on the American interstate highways with felt vibration through the floorboards and handgrips ncreasing rapidly above 65 mph/ 105 KPH. By 75 mph / 120 KPH i was ready to sell mine and did. Once i joined a motorcycle riding associaion, the C50 was hopeless as we cruise at 80 mph or more, regularly and for dozens of miles at a time. Unfortunately, most American motorcycle dealers do not allow test rides, so buyers may not realize the C50 is limited to sub-interstate speeds. In case you are thinking, "Well, just ride in the slow lane," that is a really bad idea. Drivers don't see motorcycles all that well and riding in the slow lane of an interstate is like choosing to deal with every intersection on your route, dodging cars that almost missed their exit and merging cars from on ramps. You would be much happier with a bike that can COMFORTABLY cruise at 85 mph in the fast lane and accelerate effortlessly out of dangerous situations. A C50 on the interstate is like a mouse at a clogging competition. The second i got my C50 off the interstate, i would fall in love all over again with the relatively light weight, low Maintenance, easy around town handling, and classic cruiser looks.
My buddy is away on holidays for 10 days and he threw me his keys to his C50T 2010 800cc and I’m on my sixth day with it and love it! My one and only gripe is it isn’t a six speed, it’s got the power for it it… nonetheless it’s a fantastic bike, very maneuverable and comfortable. 👍🏻👍🏻
My son had an 800 Volusia for a while and it was a great bike, the down side was the previous owner installed Vance and Hines exhaust(can't really say mufflers) on it and it was annoyingly loud! I like a nice exhaust note but ear plugs did help. The Volusia was not a fast bike but was very easy to ride fast.
I bought my 2007 a few years ago. I can ride for several hours on the stock seat. The only issues have been starting. Parts wear out. Thank you for your videos.
Good video! I bought recently a 2009 C50. It’s my first motorcycle! When I sat on it , it felt comfortable. Can’t wait to use it next month, a little nervous as it’ll be my first time on a public highway. God Bless.
I own a 2008 C50T myself. I have to say that it is a joy to ride. I live on a small Island with many Valleys and Hills. I find it perfect for this type of riding and being by myself on it. I can tell that it would not be great for long Highway rides and mostly because of it only being a 5 speed. I would rather a different ride if I was doing a lot of High way riding, just my opinion. Ya the seat really sucks for me, I have a bad tail bone and it gets really sore .I really do believe this is a well built bike. Hard to turn it down as can find them for a great price. They do not seem cheap quality in any way at all in my opinion. OK enough rambling lol. Take care out there.
Could not resist, got me another C50T 2023 got it at a fair price, and they through in a five year warranty. Taking it in Wednesday for the free first service, and having a set of bar risers, and a set of lights installed. The risers will also move the handle bars back a bit. I find the seat much better if I sit all the way back on it. The first two hours no problem, sitting a bit forward but moving back makes a big difference, so the bars should help with that. One thing that surprised me was it is a lot easer to back into my shed than the CB500X was. Hopping to get up to Newfoundland and do some riding with my sun, he has my last C50.
I had a 2003 Volusia, which became the C50. I bought it in Atlanta right out of the shipping crate. It so far has been the best bike I've ever had. As you pointed out, the seat is the weak point of an overall bulletproof machine. Change the oil, battery, and tires when needed, and 20 years on it is not going to be a problem, in my opinion. After 19 years, I traded up to a 2022 Indian Pursuit Limited. And while I'll never get the value from the Indian that I did from the Volusia, it was a well-deserved upgrade.
Hello. sir; Just want to say, that you gave an - excellent - presentation about your/ this motorbike! It's a - gorgeous - motorcycle. Hopefully you enjoy it for many years to come. You were very informative. Greetings and always stay save - Kees H. from Holland (Europe).
Cheap maintenance on my c50 from 2007. Not to havy, so i can handle it some wath especialy when I am standing so good as still. Very hapy with it. Took it to France once on a downloader to cruise in the Dordonge, sarlat, Castelnaud, La roque Gageac. I bought it with standard tires but changed to Dunlop D404 wich mede handling a lot better. In later year moddels they changed the angle of the front fork a litle wich made handling some what easier. I,'ve put a K&N filter on it and a powercommander. Louder Vance & hines exhaust. Wich made the moter response on the gas a bit quicker. Standard Bike I was always waiting for it to pickup again in roudabout it felt asof I could drop to the street sometimes because the moter took a long time to react. With the powercommander no isseu anymore. Quick responce in corners everytime. Think the K&N filter helpt a lot with that also and the Dynotunning also. Great bike for starters. It looks nice and a lot of people like it to, so they say to me. I just put on some footpeg extenders from Higway hawk to give my wife some more comfort on long cruise rides to germany in Westfalen Gasthof Feische in the mountains. Gasthof Feische is a B&B for bikers in Hellefeld
Great review of a great bike. I bought a used 2005 Suzuki C50T way back in 2012 for only $4K intending to keep it only a year or two before I upgraded and I ended up riding it for almost 10 years. I agree with most everything you say about the bike and for the price I don’t think you can beat it. One thing that I thought was a shortcoming on the motorcycle was the rear drum brake. I think Suzuki needs to look at that and upgrade to a disc and probably even ABS. I bought a new Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic a couple years ago and it has the bigger motor, ABS, cruise control and just a few more modern conveniences my Boulevard didn’t have but it was a lot more expensive too. Great looking bike and ride safe!
I agree totally with you on the issue of the rear drum brake. It is definitely the one weak point on the bike. ABS is something I have not had any experience with yet on a motorcycle. If it is anything like the ABS in my car, I would love it. Great idea for a C50 upgrade. Thanks for your input. I have watched many of your C50 videos. Well done .
@@CruisintheNarrowRoad I put a Mustang seat on my Boulevard and loved it. I liked it so much I put one on my Heritage and got the backrest. Definitely a great seat and the backrest makes long trips enjoyable even more.
I put a Saddlemen Explorer seat on mine and now that it is broken it it is great. I would like to try a mustang seat sometime. I have heard a lot of good things about them.
@@CruisintheNarrowRoad - ABS saved my hide about a year ago. Mountain riding with a mixure of damp and dry surfaces, came into a cutback a bit too fast off of a decline, had to lock onto the brakes, ABS kicked in, and kept my Vaquero under control with just a very slight fishtail, but nothing that caused it to fishtail out from under me. Had I been riding my C50t, the brakes would had locked up and got from under me. Had a near fishtail on the C50t while trying to hit the brakes trying to not miss an intersection right turn, so I had a decent idea what it's limits were.
Suzuki Intruder VL800(C) K9 (2009-2020), Suzuki Intruder VL800 Volusia K3 (2023-xxxx) - best bikes for the price that I ever rode. It's huge in its looks, but it's quite light, very nimble and easy to handle. Engine is excellent for local roads and sufficient for highways. Short gears make it a perfect commuter, even for a city - these bikes were actually labelled as 'city cruisers'. Easy to DIY a/o cheap service maintenance makes it everything but a budget-breaker. Also, there are no system a/o design flaws or issues. Oh yes, the valves check.. I did some 70k km on the K9 and even by then, these did not need adjusting. But I let those get checked every 20k km (roughly on every 3rd service interval). I'm going to do the same by the beginning of the next season with the K3. BTW as I gave the K3 to my GF, I upgraded (just a week ago, actually) to Suzuki Boulevard C90T (US version), and frankly, I did it only for the extra power - my GF and I use to ride out for vacation together on a single bike (we have until now and we shall again, at least for the remainder of 2023 season) and part of that is getting from A to B via highway - where the C90 is superior (due to stronger engine, slightly better seating and somewhat better suspension). But I do dare to state, that for daily commuting a/o casual riding, the C50 / VL800 is really superior. Ride hard & ride safe 🙂
Sir you want to check your spline in your Suzuki Boulevard C50 because Suzuki is notorious for not keeping it greased or else you'll cross thread and your bike will leave you stranded on the road. Other than that, you're in good hands. Ride on!!😎🛵
Rode my 05 from Marblehead OH down to Carrizo Springs TX. Wasn’t the smoothest ride, but I never doubted I would make it. Just resurrecting her now 😢 thanks for the insight.
I rode mine across Newfoundland and all around Nova Scotia , including the Cabot Trail last fall. 3300km in six days. No trouble at all, but not the smoothest either. Thanks for the comment. Ride safe.
Had 3 over the years and they are great bikes, but went in to adventuring, hitting a lot of dirt and gravel roads. But now at 75 wish I would of keep my last C50 I gave it to my sun, and he is still riding it, it was the C50T but did not have that badge on the thank witch I do not care for and no whit walls witch I also do not care for. All of them I took the windshield off and loved them that way, you should jive it a try, simple to take them of and on. Looking at the new ones I do want the bags but not whitewall tires nor studs. My last one was white and I got so many people saying it looks so much better with out that chrome badge on the tank. Thanks for the video, giving me the itch for the fourth one.
I’ve had a 2009 c50 for a couple years- I bought mine here in Nashville from a guy who left the gas in the tank and didn’t drive it for a while- got it on offer up for 2600$ had just 6300 miles- cleaned tank- new fuel pump - put new plugs and has been a great bike - bout 8000- found a place in Columbia tn - replaced both tires-also I did replace the air breather with the KnR- it did seem to give a little more Hp - now just turned 13000 miles last night about a mile from home - the final drive went out- left me stranded- pushed it home - nothing but grinding shaft - this morning to harbor freight motor cycle jack- 150$ ordered replacement drive on EBay - should be here fist of week.I am able to work on things in my garage- I. Called around this morning before deciding to do the job myself-it’s really hard to find anybody who will work on a bike that they didn’t sell you, or if it’s a motorcycle that’s more than 10 years old. I’m hoping this wi be the last trouble for a while:)
Thank you for this video. Like you, I am no longer living on the ragged edge and am looking for a machine that will help me extend my 40 plus riding years. Never owned, or even ridden a cruiser, but I am considering those ergonomics because I am finding a few hours on my Guzzi with clip-ons and rearsets is becoming uncomfortable. You mentioned a 250 km range. Up here (Yukon) that would be concerning or require better planning. My guess is the C50 will want attention similar to my bike. I adjust valves every 5000 km and use a high grade synthetic that I change between 7500 and 10, 000 km. The bevel gear gets oil refreshed about every 25,000 km. BTW; washing detracts from riding time unless the grit begins creating turbulence in the airflow. The C50T checks all the boxes. Rubber side down. Thanks again.
It's an amazing bike for the $.. I don't think it can be beat honestly. Like previous comments have said it can do 75-85 highway clips if ya need.. 50-65 is it's sweet spot tho. Looks good, sounds good, runs flawlessly, easy to maintain.
I have a set of Mustang seats for my C50 and I also found them too firm so I went back to the stock seat. Go to Canadian Tire and pick up that gel seat cushion and it works perfect
Now that I have had the Saddlemen seat for a couple of years it has broken in quite nicely. I have now travelled thousands of kilometres with it and I find it excellent.
I’m an enduro guy. Right now looking at something more street oriented. So far the three I keep going between in my head is c50, Honda Shadow and Yamaha Bolt. The first two being very close and the Bolt being more down the HD Sportser side, less comfort but more oomph. Still not figured out what’s next so I just keep riding my enduro 😉 edit: being in TX complicates matters as our freeway speeds are just so fast compared to 100 kph countries., we are signed 70 to 80 mph and of course everyone doing ten over the signage.
I have a 07 c50 trike and I love it it's the best bike I've ever had it was my dad's and left it to me when he passed in 2021 but it's not like a regular trike it has big tires 29/18.5 prostreet tires
Perfect, Les. Remember last week I was suggesting you make your videos longer... well this is great. Just the right length. And the views are great too. As for the C50, well I never did get one. I looked at a couple but I ended up sticking with my Heritage Softail. You think yours has a clunky shift? Well mine is probably more so. Harleys are known for clunky shifting. I'm used to it. Anyway, the C50 looks like a nice bike and I'm glad you're enjoying yours. Well take care and God Bless...
@@CruisintheNarrowRoad That's great Les. You know, another thing that will likely improve views would be the sunny background. I know you can't control the weather, but seeing sunshine in the videos makes a difference (in my opinion).
I've owned 4 Suzukis; a Savage 650, GS500, Intruder 800 all were great bikes. When stationed in Japan, I had a Suzuki Viva 110; that thing will get up to 60mph and returned 100mpg.
The C50 will give you those things and more. It ain’t perfect, but I really like mine. It has served me very well. I did a 3300km trip on it his fall and it was great.(It was great on the Cabot trail. Handled it all very well). Ride safe.
Three things that aggravated me about the 08 BLVD C50 I had were (1) I had to use a extendable mirror to check the oil level. If it had had a center stand, that process would have been easy. (2) It needed cruise control, in fact every cruiser motorcycle should have cruise control. (3) When it came time for me to change my spark plugs, I had to remove the fuel tank and still the frame was in the way so changing the plus was a pain. My C50 got excellent gas mileage because I didn't ride it like I was in a race. A lot of C50 owners complain that it's not fast enough. If you want speed, buy a Hyabusa. I toured a lot of miles on my C50. It didn't have side bags, but I didn't care. I packed everything I intended to carry in a travel bag and had the time of my life.
I just purchased a 2022 Boulevard C50T and I took a 350 mi ride from where I live to Lubec Maine a one day trip that mileage was round trip. I had no trouble with the shifting mine shifts smooth I even speed shifted up at times don't even use the clutch slips right into gear super smooth. I used to have the Suzuki Volusia and years ago when I first came out same bike just carbureted and that one shifted just to smooth. Can't you see my profile photo I'm sitting on it only has 4,000 miles on it. And I have the stock seat on it I don't have a lot of padding in my butt LOL and when I took that ride to Lubec I only stopped at once. When I get off the bike it felt like I had just gotten on it I was very comfortable not sore at all I do a lot of exercising and walking and I use a weight machine so maybe that has something to do with it I don't know my back is in good shape. I just purchased a driver's back rest I used it once in a long trip really good investment. Made a second long trip I went on after the first one even more comfortable. Which I didn't think it could get any more comfortable than I already was. It's very easy to remove 5 seconds it's out just slides in and out on a bracket that's mounted in between the passenger seat and the driver's seat.
Specifically, check the drive shaft lubrication (front or both ends?). I hear of sparse lube from factory and resulting premature failures. Good thing to do when getting your next rear tire.
Best best best bike c50. Hundred times I plan to exchange my c50 with c90 with dealer. But when I see it’s positive things I cancel my plan for buying c90. It can easily go to 90 to 95 mph in seconds good thing is it looks far heavier bigger than it’s original 800cc. It’s outstanding it has a road presence it catches attraction on road. I don’t feel any problem in shifting gears or any clunky sound from shaft. Just use full synthetic engine oil and change it every 3000 miles, it doesn’t need any other maintainance. I check negative things on TH-cam for c50 braking I tried many times whe on a very high speed I had to stop it in emergency it stops immediately without tires skidding, fuel consumption excellent just use 89 octane from Mobil exon. Shortly it’s trouble free I swear it doesn’t need valve adjustment just drive it in a decent sober way it’s far far better than c90. Just when starting let the engine warm up and when shutting engine off let it run a little while don’t shut engine off instantly. This bike will run miles and miles. Only one bad thing Japanese should have 6 gears on it that’s only one problem on highways you need 6 gear so that engine becomes lighter other wise best trouble free motorcycle
Cam chains and tensioners will be shot by 50 000km. They have to drop the motor out of the frame to change them. Costs about 3 times as much as it should because of the extra labour involved.
Hello Pastor Les, I have a 2013 Boulevard C50, i love this bike, I also put a 2 inch lowering kit on it. My question is I'm looking into another bike and was wondering how you felt about the Honda Shadow line comparing all of the reliability and practically non-maintenance requirements you mentioned in this video to the Suzuki Boulevard C50? I haven't done much research on the Shadow, and there is not very many videos on TH-cam comparing the two bikes. but everyone I talk to seems to steer me towards the Shadow over the C50.
I honestly don’t know much about the Honda Shadow. From what I have heard, most of the Japanese bikes are reliable, so I can only assume the Shadow is good. I love my C50, but it does have its limitations.
Awwww man that's great! We haven't had any serious issues, the bike runs good but every once in a while it starts running rich and stalls out. We have a 07 with 4500 miles. Thank you for the reply..keep the vids coming, me and my wife love them. God bless 😊
I’ve loved every Suzuki I’ve owned, but I can’t sell myself on their cruisers for some reason. Seems the Honda Shadows have the metric cruiser market sewn up when it comes to support and aftermarket.
@CruisintheNarrowRoad That's interesting. The main riding season is basically the same here in UK. But whereas you have six months when it's too cold, here over the same period, it's often too wet! So far, it's rained for most of December. Happy New Year bud, ride safe.
I have never gotten used to the heel shifter. I only ever use the toe. In fact when I first got my C50, before I was comfortable with it, I accidently shifted into second gear with my heel , stalled the bike and had a slow speed drop. (In front of all my fellow volunteer fire fighters. How embarrassing.)😳
Pound for pound, cost maintenance and reliability , it’s one excellent bike. Bought mine new in 2008. I love it.

Thanks Rick. There is a lot to be said for a lighter more agile bike.
There both very nice looking bikes but seam to lean to the c50 a little more
Amen to that, I take back roads at moderate speeds, love it.
Convinced! Going with the C50 Boulevard. I'm 55 and hope to get 10 years out of it. Hope to make it over there sometime.
I like the clunk. You know when it goes into gear, and i like that.
Bought a 2019 C50 last year. Had 142 miles on it. Had an 84 Susuki. Ole Blue is going to my son. My new scooter is great. Very comfortable, low maintenance. Love hitting Idaho mountains with it. Very happy with my C50.

Just bought my first motorcycle and it’s a 2007 boulevard 800. Super excited to learn how to ride.
Just bought mine a month ago... Hard to stay away from the 100mph zone it's so fun and comfy
@@user-cg9zq4bt5q i sold mine because the vibration through handgrips and floorboards was bad at 75 mph and murder by 85 mph.
How does the stratoliner compare to the this c50? Want something to take the wife in the canyons
I’ve had mine about two years now, and I’d say your review is SPOT ON.
I’ve owned many bikes but none better.
Wishing you many more happy miles, (sorry Kilometers). Look forward to your next ride.
Happy Trails!
Thanks Jerry. Glad to hear that you are having the same experience as me with your C50. It is just a solid, well built piece of machinery. Stay safe.
I have had mine for 14. Still love it.
I love mine too. Bought it in 2008. Also the passage you shared at the start of this video is the text I am preaching this coming Sunday.
Get the wind deflectors for sure works. Get a simple back rest for driver set. Best thing to reduce fatigue. Keep two wheels down.
Absolutely. If it ain’t broke….👍
Enjoyed the video. I have a 2008 C50 Converted to a Trike. I’m Hot Texas I run Mobil 1 15/50 synthetic. I have very little clunk in the gears. When it starts clunking it’s usually time to change the oil. God is good!!!!
Thanks for the info on the synthetic 15/50. I might give that a try. I would love to see your c50 trike. God Is good, all the time.
Thanks for the ride😁
I recently purchased a C50 T….and I really appreciate all you sharing on the bike and your channel 👍
@@davidmoyer7546 thanks. Enjoy your C50T.
The Vulcan is a great bike too. Thanks. May the Lord keep you safe and bless you as well.
I have a 2012 Boulevard C50T “Classic”. I also owned a 2006 C50T with the saddle bags and windshield. Love these bikes. I keep hoping they’ll put a 6-speed and all L.E.D. Lights at a minimum. This is 2022…it’s time.
The 2022 C50 C50T and M50 is the last year carryover from 2021 . M109r will be still produced. But that could change.
I kept my c50 original seat and put ape hanger bars on it. 100% difference on the lower back.👍🏻
Hired one for a weekend and incredibly impressed with the handling expecting it to be a lot harder being a cruiser; loved the exhaust note with stock pipes, quiet and deep with a nice throb.
@@Sasquatchflow that is the number one complaint I have heard about the C50. I agree, I would love to have that sixth gear. Ride safe.👍
My nephew had a Volusia and loved it.
God Bless.
Congratulations on getting your first bike. Stay safe and God bless.
Awesome. Congratulations on the new C50T.
Enjoyed the video man. I'm having my C50 delivered in 2 weeks. Can't wait to ride it. I got a 2006. My first cruiser.
absolutely love my C50, greetings from South Africa
Have a 2019 after leaving my 1983 Susuki GS 850. It's easy to maintain' comfortable, and rides like a dream with plenty of power. Love mine.❤🎉🎉🎉
Greetings from Ottawa ON. Nice video, nice roads you go there. I LOVE my C50. Will never trade it for anything else, maybe another C50...
Our riding season is just starting again. I will be out filming new videos again soon. I still love my C50 too.

Well done .
@@CruisintheNarrowRoad I put a
Mustang seat on my Boulevard and loved it.
@@CruisintheNarrowRoad -
ABS saved my hide about a year ago.
Ride on!!😎🛵
Thanks for the info.👍
Love to see some more scenery around Keels (I think you already have shown some).
Really really good video!! A lot of really good information on the C50! Keep up the good work! Great content!
Thanks
Great video man keep it up!
Thanks
Givin you a fallow. Enjoy your content. Very interesting but wholesome
God bless you, brother. Our Jesus loves you. He’s watching over you. He wants to hear from you. May his face shine upon you God bless.
I’m an enduro guy. Right now looking at something more street oriented. So far the three I keep going between in my head is c50, Honda Shadow and Yamaha Bolt. The first two being very close and the Bolt being more down the HD Sportser side, less comfort but more oomph. Still not figured out what’s next so I just keep riding my enduro 😉 edit: being in TX complicates matters as our freeway speeds are just so fast compared to 100 kph countries., we are signed 70 to 80 mph and of course everyone doing ten over the signage.
saw your logo had to bust out matthew 7:14. Matthew is my favorite book. I have a c90 which I like quite a bit.
I have a 07 c50 trike and I love it it's the best bike I've ever had it was my dad's and left it to me when he passed in 2021 but it's not like a regular trike it has big tires 29/18.5 prostreet tires
Sounds cool. I would love to see it.
We always have to find what fits us. You have a bike that fits your preferences, so you can ride it well.
Hey Brian, I took your suggestion and decided to try a longer video. So far it is performing better that others. God Bless.
I have the c50t. The Mustang seat is awesome. No issues with the Mustang seat.
I have heard great things about Mustang seats, but I don’t have any experience with them. 👍
Nice video. I am thinking about upgrading to this from my vstar 650. Looking for a bit more power and fuel injection.
To solve the the clunking shifting, used 2050 synthetic oil. Good for the shifting and best thing for the engine
Best for beginners , old timers and overall.
It’s my first bike. Haven’t had it for a week yet. I hit the ground running with this bike
Sounds like it's a lot like the VS 800 Suzuki Intruder I've got one a '96 with 2K miles ...it's flawless runs perfect
You might want to check the shaft drive at about 40000 k. Great video
Thanks.
Keep up the good work pastor. Helping people find and stay on the narrow road is very important more power to yoy
Thanks for the info. 👍
Great ministry sir
New videos will be coming soon. (In the next few weeks) God is good.
Suzuki Boulevard is a very good bike. I just had 2014 model 3 months which i ride majestically in Nigeria. Keep the flag flying.
I have a 2018 heritage 114 I love my bike jesus bless me with I am also a preacher my church is where every jesus sends me
Hello Pastor Les, I have a 2013 Boulevard C50, i love this bike, I also put a 2 inch lowering kit on it.
I am sold now on the C50 Boulevard T. Thanks...
Glad to hear. 👍
Great looking bikes..easy maintenance, But "Desperately" needs a 6th gear (or taller 5th). Thx for video
Absolutely 👍 Thanks.
You did what you had to do good man 😊
Hello pastor
Wondering if you have problems with your C50 running rich?
Great videos btw 👍
I have not had any issues with it running rich. Actually, up to this point I have not had to fix anything, other than changing tires.
Awwww man that's great! We haven't had any serious issues, the bike runs good but every once in a while it starts running rich and stalls out. We have a 07 with 4500 miles. Thank you for the reply..keep the vids coming, me and my wife love them. God bless 😊
Hi.
Just found your channel.
Planning to buy something similar.
Just debating which one.
There are a number of good choices. 👍
True.
Just debating on a 900.
Or a 1300.
God bless you❤
I’ve loved every Suzuki I’ve owned, but I can’t sell myself on their cruisers for some reason. Seems the Honda Shadows have the metric cruiser market sewn up when it comes to support and aftermarket.
Nice video bud That looks a lovely region of USA. Where was this footage recorded?
Thanks. This video is shot on the Island of Newfoundland in Canada. That where I live.
@@CruisintheNarrowRoad Thank you. Looks beautiful countryside and sparsely populated. I guess that outside of summer, it's quite a cold place to live.
@@glynhannaford7332 We get to ride from May to the end of October usually. The rest of the year is too cold.
@CruisintheNarrowRoad That's interesting. The main riding season is basically the same here in UK. But whereas you have six months when it's too cold, here over the same period, it's often too wet! So far, it's rained for most of December.
Happy New Year bud, ride safe.
@@glynhannaford7332 Happy New Year my friend. Ride safe.
Hi how to fix the puncture of this tube tyre on long rides ? Is there any sealant .thanks
The tires are tubeless so you can just use a regular plug kit to fix a puncture.
Nice bike i'm thinking of getting it today coz i just made an offer of a used bike
How are the engine vibes at 80mph?🤔
Can’t say I have driven at 80mph. Vibes were not bad at 115-120km per hour, but it is working hard at those speeds, being only a 5speed.
And they are very light I think they are good beginner bike
Im looking at buying a n 022 ct50. Have you ever thot about putting taller bars on it? Whats yourvopinion of the stock bars?
I have thought about taller bars, but didn’t want to get into the expense of longer brakes and throttle cables. I do think they would be nice.
I’m looking at 2005 c50 , it has 32,000 miles on it! Is that high miles for a Suzuki C50?
@@duwomaiishgabrielle9498 it seems a bit high mileage to me. I would personally be careful about one with that many miles on it.
@@CruisintheNarrowRoad that’s what I was thinking- thanks
I bought one 18 months ago with 7000 miles now has over 36000 been 120 on it with a tail wind
It’s a great bike and is more than fast enough for me. I don’t need 200mph. (120 is good though👍)
Very nice bike. I have c-800.
Them bike fun and easy to ride
Hi Pastor, Do u use the toe/heel shifter or just the toe? I’m new to my C50. John
The service manual said´s you need to chance de engine oil every 6000 kms.
I want an M90 boulevard really bad.... I currently have a S45 intruder(750cc)
My Suzuki 750 Intruder is clunky going down to first gear too at just under 21000 km in mileage.
