@@K0nst4nt1n96 There are a few mod teams working on this issue and other FDE issues with the TBM930, also a team is dedicated to the G3000 and TSC as well.
steveo1kinevo When fully started, is it safe to run the IPS if all margins are obeyed in every condition? If I ever get a plane, I'm considering a TBM as my third or fourth.
This inertial separator, although good in theory, adds unnecessary workload to the PIC. Not only does one have to closely monitor the torque and ITT gauges during the 40 secs of actuation but the limitation of 200 KIAS (for the 700/850) is an annoying limitation during descent when trying to slow down the TBM which is already pretty slippery. One that note, I am glad to see that the speed limitation was increased to 266 KIAS for the 900.
is this something specific to the TBM? There are a lot of turbo props out there. Seems like a lot of extra work load and consideration for a little bit of extra engine protection from an event that doesn't seem to plague the rest of the worlds turbo props, or jet engines. (or maybe it does, idk.. i'm asking). I do get that FOD is always a concern.
@@rotorfib8719 Other Turbo Props have an inertial seperator as well... and they also increase the workload requiring the monitoring of ITT and torque. Jet engines are different, and Turbofan engines are even more different (which i believe is what you are referring to). For both However they are normally only in danger altitudes for very short amounts of time, hence the cost and performance loss of having a protected engine doesn't really become valuable. Whereas turboprops are GA aircraft and its not uncommon for them to do hours long flights below FL180
@@MH-fn8lr Yep fair. I just happened to love that track is all. I dearly love it tbh, I imagine many reading these things have a background in either mechanics or electronics? No love for synth music? Or do you have tastes in that direction?
Not just TO & landings but also taxiing, which is arguably the most important time, when flying at in icing conditions too, also consider using it to help with things such as bird-strikes. Any time where there is a risk of ingestion of foreign objects into the engines.
I'm totaly not here to know if and when I should use this on my pretend aircraft in Flight Simulator 2020
Which overheats in low and high idle when feathered... 🤨
Me neither ;)

Same xD
We're all here for the same reasons. 🤣
Very good video. Put together really nice. Thanks for making these.
+steveo1kinevo WOW I got here from "Flight VLOG - Blast from the Past" today long time sub thank you for the content.
+steveo1kinevo when are you getting a TBM 900 steve? haha

Stevo!!! I came here from watching your videos since you reference it regularly.
@@chriss4919 I can second that 😆
Aha, now I know what this button is good for...

Thanks for sharing this information, this video increase flight safety and reduce maintenence costs for operate the plane in bad fields conditions.
That intro music is from the hotline miami soundtrack if I'm not mistaken...
ikr M|O|O|N should release!
Excelente canal, videos muy informativos y de excelente calidad gráfica.
Admit it. You're here because you play flight sim and didn't know what this lever was for...
Loved the title music choice
Everybody I just wanted to say this is a very good video for a me
I love the vid , but the music sounds so sad.

Great Vid. Perfectly explained thanks for sharing!!
What in the hell is this music, club beats to the saddest song while explaining the inertial separator...
haha pick a genre and suggest it

So turn this on only for take off and and landing?

Very educational
thanks
Inertial separator? We don't need no stinking inertial separator!
Buying this plane is like buying a lambo, a very expensive 4.3mil lambo i'd better expect a inertial separator and all the features dammit. lol
@@ydsimulations I love the post, and the rebuttal post.
TH-cam!
i watch every vid
we here for msfs
I wonder how much they paid Elon Musk to do the voiceover
No way dude unless it was edited that well I guess
