I have all my alocasias indoor in leca and they seem to be thriving. I do feed them every time I water them and they’re thriving!! Of course some more than others lol

I've had the best luck using my regular aroid combo but I put them in no drainage containers. I've heard pon is amazing just haven't tried it out for myself yet 🌿

Yes you can bring it back. Maybe it is dormant, but it has roots. Alocasias love water. Did you look for corms?

Ah ok! Thanks for the advice! There were no corms 🫣

@@LordSaint_ The only think good about Alocasia is the corms. I had about 8 and I had to cut every one of them down to the nub for various reasons. Two or three died and I have no idea which ones until the others one start giving leaves again. I think it may have been my Jacklyn and Frydek (Green one I forgot the name).

My cuprea is having the opposite problem. 🤣 Its taking over my living room!! I keep it under an Amazon knockoff Soltech bulb and run one of those Barina vertical floor lights on it during the work day.
Keep the soil moist and give it lots of light and feed it heavily and yours should come back! Outside might be a little too much light for it though until it gets bigger.
The chunk should put out roots and start sprouting again as well since it isnt rotten, it will take a while though, i had a pink dragon that took well over a year to sprout when i cut it back after a thrip infestation

✍🏾 Ty!! It’s such a beautiful plant. I completely lost it in the jungle of plants out here. I’m hoping it’s not too far gone 😅

My Capra went outside with 3 good leaves. It is now full of leaves.I have it in a homemade chunky mix. It has dried out almost completely before I water it again. I'm so pleased with its progress.

I am surprised that it was struggling, since it was outside in your FL shade house. My alocasias thrive outside in the warm-to-hot, humid Midwestern summer. (They overwinter inside - either in dry, dark dormancy, or with just enough artificial lighting in the basement.) I myself would not attempt to treat them as regular year-round houseplants.

It was tucked away in a mess of plants 🫣 i think it must have declined during a dry spell we had down here
