- Salzwelten Hallstatt is the oldest salt mine in the world. Situated at the top of a mountain. The salt mining in Hallstatt dates back to 5,000 BC, making it the oldest in the world. Salt was so vital to life before modern refrigeration, we often take it for granted today, but it is what put Hallstatt on the map. Hallstatt’s Celtic influence on early Europe thanks to white gold (salt) led to an entire period of the Iron Age (800-400BC) being known as the Hallstatt Era.
In this video I will show and share with how you can go to Hallstatt. We will start our journey from Vienna by train and transferring to a bus. Usually you can go to Hallstatt using a boat but due to some construction works our only option is by bus.
☆☆☆My Personal Experience!☆☆☆
* People are very nice and friendly.
* Beautiful view everywhere you look.
* The weather is nice.
* You will definitely fall in love in this place.
* Not as crowded as to what some people think.
* Journey is long but worth it, the views are so nice you will not get board.

I love the video! Will use the tips for my trip to Austria next week. What camera did you use to record this video?
Glad you like it Michelle😁 dji pocket 😊
Very informative. Thank you. Planning to go end of this month for my birthday. But I don’t know if 24h is enough 😅
depends on what you want to do and how fast you will go around...but hallstatt is relatively small so if you will just go around really quick its enough...the salt mine will take a lot of time as you need to climb and trek and then go on a tour inside the cave
Beautiful landscapes, yet these boring people are all looking into their phones and tablets. Very, very sad.
thats the irony of it...people who are used to it will not appreciate its beauty
Are 9 minutes enough in order to change platforms for the train from attang to Hallstatt ?? Thank you
you need to go down and back up to a different platform....maybe will take around 5 minutes if you walk fast
How much was the bus ticket?
it was included in the train fare
What camere you are using bro?
dji brother😊🙏
which model? it lokks handy@@ShinEverywhere
its dji pocket 2...very handy indeed 😊
What the hell 60€ for one way?
its one way
Don't go to Hallstadt. Hallstatt is terribly overcrowded, and the residents are really fed up with selfie-taking tourists. Go to any other place in the Salzkammergut, like Sankt Wolfgang, Gmunden, or Bad Ischl - lovely places, all easy to reach by public transport.
Totally agree with you. Hallstatt is totally overcrowded and yes it is a beautiful place to look across the lake. Gmunden and Bad Ischl are really gorgeous as alternatives.
True!
