Not trying promoting vaping to the public but been vaping daily for 8 years, I dont see any health problems yet. I workout and have good stamina. Most "Vaping" related deaths and hospitalizations usually have nothing to do with the normal vapes sold in proper shops these years. Ensure that the juice is proper, the coil is within proper operating temperatures, the cotton/wick is not burnt, the batteries are protected properly plus, replace when required and I think we're in a pretty safe spot. Proper regulation is fine.
When I started vaping, I first opted for tobacco flavour, but then I changed to fruit, etc. I thought, "What's the point of vaping tobacco flavour vapes if I'm trying to quit smoking?" It's like an acholic drinking non alcoholic beer. Sooner or later...
I do share the same idea. I am a non smoker, and I'd rather vape to be used as stress reliever than cigarettes. So I picked up vaping. I could casually quit vaping altogether, I did before, as I see fit.
@Iamlove Iampeace whatever it is , I've quit smoking and I no longer smell like a walking cigg, my wallet also hold more cash. Its definitely better option for me so I don't see why it's so bad
@Iamlove Iampeace so you rather have people keep on smoking cigarettes with all their KNOWN and far greater issues? Please don't say total abstinence is the way to go! If It were that easy, there wouldn't be cigarettes at the mama shop today after decades.
That's...teeechnicially true or lawyer-like truth I would say :D . It's like walking around saying that you quit gambling, as in you no longer go to slot machines, but now you obsessively bet on horse races or you got yourself into the stock market.
Smoking like many things picks up as an addiction and becomes to tool to cope with stress, or to 'feel better'. Vaping is that tool to help cope with smoking. I can see the biasness in the video always pointing to long term health effects and so on. But look at the bigger picture, can vaping improve an individual's health when compared to smoking? Yes. Can it be a way to help someone quit smoking? Yes. Does the health benefits outweigh the current unknowns of vaping(if there is anymore to be found)? Yes. Does vaping give out 2nd hand smoke that also affect non-smokers? No. It has already been scientifically tested and has already been in the market for more than 10 years, with many users such as the boss in the video using them as a replacement. The fact that some United States prison provide vape pens over typical cigarette breaks to the inmates, should say something.
True i have completely stopped smoking, using vape that too sometimes ,it genuinely helps to quit smoking cigarettes, the monopoly and propaganda of these Tobacco corporations is just ridiculous.
Well before, these "experts" are pushing e-smoking as a healthier alternative to smoking. Now, these experts are also the one discouraging e-smoking when it boomed.
No experts ever did that lol. Spore been taking the stance that e-smoking is dangerous since day one. Malaysia allows it because they lost control and decided to just legalise it and tax it.
Vaping can be healthier if it is prescribed and controlled. Problem is when it is not regulated and businesses start to commercialize and people start to abuse the loopholes and device. A scientific paper often starts with whatever it is supposed to target. Only when human factors come in then things start to revere. You cannot expect everyone to be that ideal. Don't blame these experts.
Because they didn't expect teens to pick up at a young age. On average, most young smokers started around 16-18 yrs old. Currently, most youth started vaping around 11 to 14 yrs old, which is both alarming and worrying. Which is why this programme specifically targeted at youth.
Your deduction is funny. THough there is no "ban" for smoking traditional cig, it is highly restricted. You can't smoke indoor, can't smoke in public, the price is high because tax, and there is a cancer picture promoting smoking cessation. Vape however is everywhere unregulated, and you can't really tell if vaping is less dangerous because it is still new and need more evidence.
for example, it is difficult to smoke 100 cigarettes at one go, but one can adjust the concentration of the vape solution to 100x concentration or swap to dangerous homemade solution.
The Malaysian government will push forward to table a bill that seeks to ban smoking and vaping for those born from 2007, after making amendments following resistance from some lawmakers.
To first prevent teens from getting addicted maybe should control the adult population first. If the teen grew up watching the parent smoking it will be the same for him when he become an adult whether it's vape or cigarette
Nope because regardless of if it is or not, vapes are seen as healthier than cigarettes so people would be more willing to try it. An underage may not take shots but they may try beer and wine.
Vaping is advertised as a "healthier vice" than smoking. Vaping is intended to lure these smokers from using cigarettes. The problem is that these non-smokers, vice-free teens are lured as well. Either be the "cool/bad ass" image, or peer pressure.
Well, regulate vapes just like prescription drugs but don't deny actual smokers a path to a 'healthier bad habit'. It's about harm reduction, not harm elimination. Or should we also ban cigarettes, alcohol, sugary drinks, gambling etc etc globally?
If it becomes legal in sg, they could limit the nicotine content to 10 or 20mg/ml. Most disposables and pre-filled pod vapes sold in sg and Malaysia only comes in 30 or 50mg/ml which is an extremely high nicotine level that most people shouldn't be using unless you are a very heavy smoker. The high nicotine content actually makes the cravings and withdrawals much worst than using a lower strength vape such as the 3 or 6mg/ml. In the UK and Europe, the highest strength available is only 20mg/ml which is already quite a high dose.
we just need a more relaxed and positive, nurturing society, then people won't be as stressed working horrid jobs for survival hence no more need to smoke to destress
Vape e-juice contains nicotine and it can be seems as 'cool' to blow O rings or generally, smoke itself. Nicotine is an addictive substance which makes vaping so addictive as well as the attractive sweet flavours it produce. To make it less harmful, you can always opt for zero nicotine vapes, which are readily available in the market. Japan has allowed consumption and usage of e-liquid but they only allow zero nicotine vapes to be regulated in the market. If Singapore were to produce vapes in singapore, they can reduce or increase the nicotine inside the e-liquid itself and make it less addictive. Vapes are taxable, there are many reasons why Singapore don't allow them in the general markets. Teenagers are the main problem of why they can't sell vapes in singapore. You can literally ask an adult to buy cigarettes for you and you will get it and it will also work with buying vapes. So, teenagers will vape from young and they will be addicted to it. The only reason why cigarettes are not banned, is because if you ban smoking in Singapore now, a lot of the working adults won't be too happy and there will always be people trying to find ways to get the cigarettes into singapore. Take away the science and chemical research, take the testimonies into account. Vapes are generally improving lives of people who are smokers themselves. The only hindrance is the teenagers, which makes vapes impossible to sell in Singapore. However, like I mentioned before, even though vaping is not legalised in Singapore, people will always find a way to get them in.
There are actually 2 main kinds of vape, one is just heated tobacco which do not have flavours and have similar additives to cigarettes whereas another is flavoured vaping market. In all honestly both are hamful, flavoured vape is a lot more risky due to lack of regulations. Additives have been barely tested before release, the fact that vapes/cigarette smoke goes into the lung and the bloodstream directly is highly risky. I personally prefer cigarettes and vapes to be banned, if they are to help people quit then they need to be highly regulated in terms of safety. Whether vapes are safe is still inconclusive.
The problem are those who illegally sell vapes to teenagers, not the manufacturers or legal shops. I don’t encourage teenagers to vape just becuz it looks cool. Although vaping is not a good habit but as an adult u’ll face a lot of stress. It’s just a choice for us to escape from this reality by boosting our dopamine. Why not discuss the side effects of alcohol? Sugar also can cause light addiction and serious damage to ur body.
I've tested my juices, they don't have any acids in them. With a simple PH test, and acidity test well, it says nothing about it having any type of acids.
Depends which ones There are some brands that do put a lot more nicotine in comparison to a single cigarette Now most of them are usually lower value in nicotine
@@jon_nomad because those you have mentioned can be all done in moderation. Nothing is good for you when you do it excessively. But smoking, or vaping isn’t something you will only do it “occasionally”. Unless you quit nicotine, don’t talk about how vaping helps smokers to quit smoking.

I have been a smoker for several years and quit 7 yrs ago and switched to vaping. Personally I would advice those who don't smoke to vape. Only those who smoke and are trying to quit should vape. I know vaping is not 100% safe and don't get into it if you don't smoke.
We prefer IQOS heating our tobacco. With vape and it's flavors, for us at least. The after-taste does not sit well. Vape flavours you can get for cheap, but that is never and enticement. This is us who change from smoking normal cigarettes, to full vape 100 % and finally migrating to IQOS heets 100 %. Our level of smoking is totally reduced, since IQOS can only work if we buy the heets. Heets is quite expensive, it's an investment to even buy them in bulk of 3 or 4. Without the heets, the IQOS can't function. To me mechanics like IQOS is better to any one who wish to kick out the habit of smoking. This statement is by an experienced cigarette user, who aims to kick away the habit. Like the Malaysian owner behind VAPE Empire said - if you don't smoke anything, don't even start. That's our experience so far.
I've never understood smoking since it honestly smells like exhaust fumes, they must add some incredibly harmful addictive chemicals to them to make them impossible to quit.
The chemicals is the main part of the smoke, as in the chemicals are not 'added', the smoke is the chemical. The addictiveness comes from tobacco. It's like saying curry powder is added to curry to make curry tasty. No, curry powder is not 'added', it is the curry. There is no curry without curry power. There is no smoke without tobacco.
@@RambutanLaw at the same time, its the companies that made the product socially acceptable as well as making it palatable. tobacco can be chewed as well, but it taste awful...(curry powder by itself is awful) smoking was popularized in movies, tv shows and ads. remember those old ads where smoking was seen as macho or sophisticated. (westerns, mafia, spy thrillers). to spread their reach, they added flavors/scents to the tobacco. menthol, fruity flavors. and various forms :filters/no filter , cigars, shisha, etc. (like chicken, beef, fish or veg curry, curry made using mainly water, curry made using stock, etc) its now being replicated in vaping but with much more variety of flavor; and better reach, thanks to the internet/social media. thankfully i didnt follow peer pressure or family (3 out of my 4 siblings smoke, and so does my father) and i cant get drunk on alcohol, so my only vice is games and tech.. but hey, i only spend like 50 dollars a month on gacha games, compared to my siblings which spend from 100-300 dollars a month on cigarettes.
Its not "added" .... like addictive alcohol.... its a process that naturally creates these chemicals. Its the act of burning the leaves and inhaling the smoke that is toxic. Also, not much different than stand around a fire and inhaling said smoke, causing damage. Or how marijuana has natural occurring chemicals like THC and CBD. Nothing is "added".
You're lucky. I never understood how someone could be addicted to booze but people are not all the same. I don't smoke anymore but i could always go for a ciggarette the small craving is always there and i still like the smell. The vape was the only thing that helped before salt nics i thought i would smoke on my death bed. I could easily smoke a pack a day and sometimes more when i smoked. When i try to do the math of how much i smoked in 11 years it's pretty insane. Vaping was really a godsent for smokers and i could remember them giving smokers samples of an E Cig as early as 2007. The industry did go overboard and really started targeting kids instead of smokers like it was intended for originally.
Expenses is lower than cigg. if vape. Inverted Language is still like real of such existence in information and communication. Then if "no same vocab heard", they are in a mindset-action of a group?
Given that many of these juices are from Malaysia (not that I do not trust Malaysia), are there certain ingredients masked with nicotine, especially for those who argue that it is without nicotine and what other ingredients could have be possible sources of addiction? Doable episode with lots and lots of approval. That business owner... yea tar is the one that causes illness, but he refuses and avoids addressing that nicotine is the one that causes addiction and the continued inhaling of tar (caused by nicotine) makes it worse. Its business altogether, honestly. I dont know how edited this video is (if Munah had asked more questions), but I give kudos to Munah doing this in an amicable way.
Tar is caused by nicotine!? Don't think so. And again, you are solely focusing on the addictive nature of nicotine. Most vapers are ALREADY addicted to nicotine but with cigarettes they might be addicted to a lot more than nicotine from combustion releasing hundreds/thousands of other chemicals.and if you'd check, nicotine itself is in fact present, albeit in trace quantities, in many natural foods. Nicotine (although addictive) isn't the main problem with smoking.
@@k.k.c8670 unless we have actual numbers, or not we cannot prove that nicotine is lower in juice. Btw, you said food has nicotine. Yes, there is, but we dont eat the same kind of food/foods for every meal and we dont eat that huge of an amount (dont tell me you eat a kg of potatoes every meal etc). It is in ppt - parts per trillion (though I do not argue there isnt nicotine in food alr). When you smoke or vape, nicotine will definitely in higher concentrations. People dont take 1 puff and thats it. 2 weeks for 7000 puffs. Typical vapers take it a few times each day; I believe the total amount/concentration will be higher than just consuming food. Yes, tar is not in vape juice. But with the addiction from nicotine , it travels together with the addiction, causing other chemicals to travel to the body (same with smoking; it is the nicotine addiction that continues the input). If the body's rate of detox is slower than the intake, which causes accumulation, then it is harmful. Some even do 2 together... money and their health.
@@k.k.c8670 I dont know how you edited your comment but I feel you dont get the full picture, which is really that obvious. The lab results previously were only qualitative (detection), but did not state amounts. With reactions going on (such as formaldehyde), we need to know the actual formulation of these. Im not sure how much Malaysia legalizes this and if the vape device (whether it is up to standard) is safe. Alot of vape juices are also like food (the flavours and all). If we likened to the food industry, there can be ingredients that can be masked. We have the right to know and the right to check and the right not to purchase it. I dont see what your fuss is in the arguement.
@@johcx1994 then why are cigarettes not banned with clear health hazards? It's about harm reduction. It is a fact that cigarettes have 100s/1000s more chemicals than any juice. Chemicals that are not there can't 'travel', can they?
@@johcx1994 and we do have actual numbers. Juice comes in nicotine of 0mg to about 50mg per ml. Each cig has between 8mg to 20mg of which about 10% gets into your body (the rest is burnt)
Facts: We know cigarette is very bad for health due to Tar. We still don’t know if vape is harmful despite many clinical studies. So between 100% harmful tobacco and maybe not harmful vape, the choice is clear. Both contain nicotine, so if the idea of the ban is to prevent teen from starting and get addicted, then regulate vape like cigarettes and prevent the shops from selling to teens and force vape companies to have unattractive packaging and warning message like cigarettes. Aside vape is also not smelling and has not « second hand smoke ». I think the real problem is that quality vapes are not cheap and should gouvernement apply same tax as cigarettes on them, it would make them completely unaffordable, hence increase the black market and loss of revenue.
Inhaling ANYTHING but oxygen is harmful to the body. Vapes included. There is still chemicals and a chemical reaction to create the vapor to inhale. Vapes may be not as dangerous but still NOT a good choice. If you choose either, just know the risks and dont be ignorant about information.
Short answer don't start...I stop vaping because my lungs started to hurt..I decided to stop because of the lack of regulation on e juice especially the ones from China, futhermore I vape alot and the nicotine is very high so I find myself vaping 24/7 because of this I decided to smoke to reduce my nicotine intake...this way I can control and not have nicotine 24/7 so I'm planning to stop before the end of this month which will be hell.
The ads they showed look like they may be attractive to kids, but only because they were attractive ads. The ads did not look like they were targeting kids.
They never get to the real specifics on WHY it is detrimental to your health. Explain it and the quantities of each ingredient. Because cyanide is in apples and the small amount doesn't kill you.
If you are going to pump dangerous fumes into your delicate & irreplaceable lungs, might as well go for the best Cuban cigars. That’s what I do and even then, I do it sparingly.

I do share the same idea. I am a non smoker, and I'd rather vape to be used as stress reliever than cigarettes. So I picked up vaping. I could casually quit vaping altogether, I did before, as I see fit.
Well i wouldnt vape just saying
I wish i just vaped and never smoked a cig honestly. Worst thing i ever did
I've quit smoking and I only vape now. It's definitely a tool to help smokers quit. Problem is some people I know smoke And Vape at the same time lol.
@Iamlove Iampeace He said he quit smoking. He did not say he quit nicotine..
@Iamlove Iampeace it's not brainwash if it's Factual. Or are you the one that has been brainwashed? Lol
That's...teeechnicially true or lawyer-like truth I would say :D . It's like walking around saying that you quit gambling, as in you no longer go to slot machines, but now you obsessively bet on horse races or you got yourself into the stock market.
The sales guy is so articulate. Impressive.
It depends on the country's regulations
Stop something u cannot tax. Simply put it, it’s all about the $$$. Smoking is just as bad, so why allow one and not the other.
Drinking alcohol: Addiction, drunkenness, violence, bad for liver, causes car accidents
Vape: Addictive
Obviously, vape is more dangerous
dont tell everyone the secret
ps- ciggrates are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cheaper than vape
but no one cates abt that
Alchohol a product made from plants through fermentation allowed
Vape made from chemicals and China water banned
If smoking is not banned then why is vape banned when its far less dangerous than smoking tobacco?
Money!
Because sg cannot earn from heavy tax
Well, then they should apply to vape what is applied to cigarette and the problem is solved.
These kids are ratting out their suppliers faster than the vape delivery. Lol
Stop something u cannot tax. Simply put it, it’s all about the $$$. Smoking is just as bad, so why allow one and not the other.
The Malaysian government will push forward to table a bill that seeks to ban smoking and vaping for those born from 2007, after making amendments following resistance from some lawmakers.
Eyep,it's called the generational endgame
To first prevent teens from getting addicted maybe should control the adult population first. If the teen grew up watching the parent smoking it will be the same for him when he become an adult whether it's vape or cigarette
Nope because regardless of if it is or not, vapes are seen as healthier than cigarettes so people would be more willing to try it. An underage may not take shots but they may try beer and wine.
Malaysia produce vape juice and sell it to other countries, but not very famous in Malaysia. not many vape users anymore in Malaysia.
I see a lot of people vaping around me in KL,
Vaping is advertised as a "healthier vice" than smoking.
Who want to try disgusting cigarettes when vape is better? Gateway to cigarettes? Don't be ridiculous
This is why I hate the government. Want people to quit and spend money on smoking campaign but still import cigarettes to sell for profits .
Stop being strict with cig, they will just go for alternative. Study prohibition and human behavior.
we just need a more relaxed and positive, nurturing society, then people won't be as stressed working horrid jobs for survival hence no more need to smoke to destress
Then why are schools strict with cig if smoking helps them to reduce stress?
Sugar also can cause light addiction and serious damage to ur body.
the flavours and packaging are alluring tbh
I've tested my juices, they don't have any acids in them. With a simple PH test, and acidity test well, it says nothing about it having any type of acids.
Chewing tobacco will be far less harmful to others around compared to smoking and vaping, at least zero secondhand smoke from chewing tobacco leaves.
It is definitely better and healthier than smoking.
Depends which ones
There are some brands that do put a lot more nicotine in comparison to a single cigarette
Now most of them are usually lower value in nicotine
I can buy vapes through the telegram groups you have shown . You have to blur it otherwise , you are indirectly encouraging people how to buy them
Dont smoke dont vape. Why put such substances into body?
WHY WOULD THEY PUT THOSE SUBSTANCES? PARASITES FROM ANIMAL PRODUCTS. OFTEN IN THE LUNGS. VAPING KILLS SOME OF THEM, BUT NOT ALL.
Why? We should also put the same question to alcohol, junk food and perhaps even 4D and casinos ... this opens up a whole new can of worms.
Should we ban processed food and junk foods, snacks, sweet drinks, in general?
@@noblestar7742 IF YOU KNEW HOW TOXIC THE INGREDIENTS WERE YOU WOULD TAKE THESE "PRODUCTS"OFF THE MARKET ALSO.
@@jon_nomad because those you have mentioned can be all done in moderation. Nothing is good for you when you do it excessively. But smoking, or vaping isn’t something you will only do it “occasionally”. Unless you quit nicotine, don’t talk about how vaping helps smokers to quit smoking.
if they never feel the pain that caused by it, telling them to stop is only wasting your time. let them feel the pain and they will stop.
How did that work out for cigarettes last few decades?
@@k.k.c8670 dont know bro, i wish you tell me.
I stopped smoking two years back and i didnot use all these vaape or nicotine bubblegum or straps nonsense. Just dont smoke for a week and change the pleace you use to smoke before boom you will be clean for ever..
Not everybody can do as you did. Many have tried numerous times over many years.
Strange, it is legal overseas! Is this products subject to duties?
Please dont make vaping looks too bad. I dont vape or even smoke but im more tolerative with a person vaping next to me than a smoker. But i do believe vape sales and usage should be strictly regulated and govt should do as much as possible to discourage future innocent people from becoming their next customers.
Nope as people are vulnerable to addictions . The key is about being hooked on substance use.
in Malaysia smoking and vaping is a normal day...
if drink alcohol is sin and planning to ban...
i don't go to stop smoking / vaping campaign every year because is not effective to local either ...
my neighbor is in this campaign and as a counselor, he himself had gave up his job due to more people join vaping, looks hopeless
to stop the habit is start in heart
Still trying to understand if Shisha is actually safer than Vape?
vape should be safer.
Tbh I don't understand why is it so hard for the police to clamp down on the export of Vape. Govt has done a great job on cig that it is hard to obtain for youth under 18. However it is extremely easy for kids to buy Vape in SG and quite a large group of them started as young as 12 years old.
@@RambutanLaw
You can still salt salty foods.
They can add more nicotine, even if it is naturally occurring.
@@RambutanLaw
at the same time, its the companies that made the product socially acceptable as well as making it palatable.
tobacco can be chewed as well, but it taste awful...(curry powder by itself is awful)
smoking was popularized in movies, tv shows and ads. remember those old ads where smoking was seen as macho or sophisticated. (westerns, mafia, spy thrillers).
to spread their reach, they added flavors/scents to the tobacco. menthol, fruity flavors. and various forms :filters/no filter , cigars, shisha, etc. (like chicken, beef, fish or veg curry, curry made using mainly water, curry made using stock, etc)
its now being replicated in vaping but with much more variety of flavor; and better reach, thanks to the internet/social media.
thankfully i didnt follow peer pressure or family (3 out of my 4 siblings smoke, and so does my father)
and i cant get drunk on alcohol, so my only vice is games and tech..
but hey, i only spend like 50 dollars a month on gacha games, compared to my siblings which spend from 100-300 dollars a month on cigarettes.
I'm not addicted to vape or smoking. I am addicted to munah 😂
Expenses is lower than cigg. if vape. Inverted Language is still like real of such existence in information and communication.
Then if "no same vocab heard", they are in a mindset-action of a group?
sure we can! just reduce cigarette prices to 5 dollars for a pack of 20sticks
Once upon a time it did cost 5 bucks, $2.50 for ten, 1.90 for 7.
Yup, that will definitely reduce vape usage.
Its a buisness..they dont care about you, only eant ur pocket money for their car collection.
Well you can say the same about cigarettes. Why aren’t cigarettes banned yet? Because it brings in so much taxes esp for Sg government
I tried vape 2 years ago, cant stand the smell and throw everything out. Try it a month ago and still cant stand the smell, smoking is the best
Shouldnt we ask first "can we STOP SMOKING?". Or law makers are afraid of the cigarrete/tabaco insdustry?
The ads they showed look like they may be attractive to kids, but only because they were attractive ads. The ads did not look like they were targeting kids.
Same didn't Hapened with Malboro Man (7000 chemicals) nobody said they are marketing burnt leaves with light drug
They never get to the real specifics on WHY it is detrimental to your health. Explain it and the quantities of each ingredient. Because cyanide is in apples and the small amount doesn't kill you.
nobody actually knows if it actually detrimental, or by how much. all of the videos, articles and warnings are vague like that

I don't see them doing the same amount of research, exposure, and content on cigarettes.. why? because, cigarettes and tobacco and profitable through tax.
The research on cigarettes has been done. Everyone knows they are harmful. They think vape might be harmful. So... why ban the maybe harmful (vape) and not yet ban the definitely harmful (cigarettes)? This whole campaign makes not sense. Why don't they ban both? 😎
