  • Listen as Dr. Richard Manfready, Instructor in Medicine in Digestive Diseases at Rush University Medical Center, shares the gut-brain connection in Parkinson’s Disease. Dr. Manfready elaborates on his research that has him working backwards in a remarkable way. He has taken the known factors about Parkinson’s - loss of dopamine producing cells due to misfolded proteins - and has notably taken a step back from there. By finding that inflammation can cause proteins to misfold, and working backward, he’s asked the question: what causes the inflammation? Listen as he comments on what he’s finding as a reason for this disease-inducing inflammation.

Thanks for the program. The Microbiome appears to build neurotransmitters involved in PD. I'm a clinical pharmacist working in moving correct neurotransmitters via enhanced lymph system function to the proper lymph nodes. Walking seems to help because the lymph system needs muscle movement to work. More is on my personal channel.

Are there any tests you can do to see if there are Lewy bodies or these problematic proteins present in our gut ? Why does no one talk about testing ? None of this even matters if you can’t detect it and take action early. Incompetent doctors

Dr Dale Bredesen talks aboiut the many and varied contributing factors and of couirse diet is a major one. How could it not be as we are literally made from what we eat. And as fibre is only found in plants and Zero in flesh then its also obvious a plant rich, plant exclusive diet, plant based diet is going to be a major contributor to the constipation issue and it's effect of the brain.

Once again, we see the case where each research entity, ( labs, university research, etc), are in their own little world, trying to find their own solutions to the study problem ! Guys, wake up, smell the coffee, and stand up to look outside of your cubicle! What you are talking about, short chain fatty acids, are called KETONES! Yeah, that's right, your study subject is being talked about everywhere in the KETO/LOW CARB WORLD! Leaky gut? Yeah, that's caused by inflammation as result of eating high carb diets. Recent changes in western diets? Yep! Excess carbs in diet. The body makes its own glucose in the liver, so, ANY CARBOHYDRATE IN THE DIET IS EXCESS, AND INFLAMMATORY! But, of course, it can't be so, because established medicine won't recognize low carb as a viable option. Cross reference your data with Reputable low carb clinics ,like Gifts Health, and see how much this all overlaps! Its not a fad diet anymore, its real science that Eminence based medicine doesn't want revealed. Just ask, WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE???
