I have the same issue with a 2014 porshe macan. Seems to be the dual clutch on the transmission or torque converter. But the new one make the same noise
Sounds like timing guides to me, but as long as the car running healthy your fine, you can change them in a higher mileage like 179,000 miles, the chain and everything.
The dealer told me they all hear it, but don't really know what causes it. A 2018 Macan base loaner vehicle I had did it too. This reply came from a Porsche forum: "turn the fan on at startup and see if this knocking goes away. Turning your your fan on regardless if heating or cooling you will notice a bump in RPM by about 200. This knock goes away. I have been a GTI owner since 2016. The same knocking occurs on this 2.0 as well. Allegedly this knocking is intentional to reduce fuel consumption at idle. Lot's of logging has been done and this knock looks like a mis-fire. Don't quote me as I an an Electrical Engineer and not a Mechanical or automotive Engineer. In the Golf GTI world we all know this "NORMAL" and this is basically the same engine".

@@gttan6565 I have not heard anything abnormal at low speeds or shifting between any gears. Other than the rattle/knock at idle, my 2.0 is very smooth and quiet. A very nice running engine.

I have the same noise on my 2014 GLI 2.0T. Still looking for the solve. It sounds like the cam adjuster moving needlessly.

To me it sounds like the vvt solenoid. But I've also seen a car with a similar noise be the water pump pulley bearing.

You can take the belt out and spin the alternator might make that noise

Julio Zuniga I sold my Macan and purchased BMW X6..
The Macan still produced this weird noise and cannot be solve..hope you solve your problem..
My 2015 Passat (133k miles) makes this same noise until I put it in gear, idk🤷♂️

Change the n318 valve that adjust the exhaust cam.
Also try and remove the connector at the exhaust cam.
