Good time at 3:33 for Jakob, running without real competition or pacer. Consistent with all his 1500s this year between 3:28 and 3:35. Looking for 3:26 in the Olympic year when he will be 21 yo.
where's Tone's mask? Or is Gjert's just used to quiet his voice? Also, coincidentally, i also just did a 3:33 time trial from my post box to my toilet seat with my phone in hand, watching his time trial, only a short stop in the middle to use some hand sanitizer.
I think he wanted to run a good time on his home soil. Also, he wanted to practice the pace for the first 800m, because he has recently always been second to Cheruiyot, who goes 01:50 for the first 800m. Problem is, in Africa, and Kenya in particular, there's always more than 20 people that can hit those splits.
Shows you how hard it is to beat Hicham El Guerrouj World record still standing after more than twenty years. 3:26 was the world record. I wonder if it will hold up another thirty years.
I'm sort of pleased that Jakob was out of breath in his interview. Impressive, but he needs to up his game if he's to beat the real speedsters (mainly) from Africa.
@@mathematics5573 Actually 3.29.47, but that's a full second behind Timothy Cheruiyot. Very impressive and hope Jake Wightman continues to improve (I'm a Brit, so although I'm impressed by the Ingebritsens...) Jakob runs several distances, though, and even cross-country, where he was trounced last year, despite some really fast running.
@@trancemaster5009 why do you respond on a comment that's one year old? All i did wast point out that the statement was false. Hicham did not break the world record at 20 yrs.
One man ran his best. The rest raced against each other. Beautiful.
To run an exhibition run and do it in sub 3:34 is just insane. What a performance!
From the outset it was evident that the rest of the runners were content to race for second. JI is just that so much better than everyone else!
outstanding

His splits are faster than my fastest 400m
the first split is 300 meters

This is what happens when you have world class in a national championship. Measure the difference.
These guys didn't even chase him. Lol 😂
Everyone hoping for second

he's aiming for 3.25
@@mathematics5573 He's ginna need 01:48 for the first 800m. He struggles to make 01:52...But he's got time on his hands.
@@caringtonmathalephahlamohl7487 his 80m PB is 1.46 now. he needs to get down to 1.45 or faster
POV: you're doing the workout and didn't sprint the warmup
Saludos desde España.
With my time on 1500m. I'm 23 second behind the last guy - Sondre Arne Hoff. So I would look on his back like he looked at Ingebrigtsen.
Молодец парень , поднять легкие и будет хороший результат.

It shows how close Jakob on the contrary. Hicham had a very fast Rabbit in that race. Jakob was quite lonely here.
You know the rest of the runners we're thinking damn! what drugs is this guy on 😅
He's on the Norwegian brown cheese, which is the secret to the country's sporting success. At least the other runners didn't get lapped.
Good
Nossa. Abriu mais de 100m de diferença. Uau. Hahaha.
Cool

Isn’t Jakob #2 in the world for the 1500m right now?

He doesn't deserve all that hype ..... When Hicham el was his age he already broke the world record
No
