The pyjamas turned into a three piece set that still works as pyjamas is my absolute winner and everything I need in life. Now all my future pyjamas will follow this formula. It's honestly so much nicer to just be able to be "dressed" at home while comfortable and feeling your best :) I used to have only inappropriate or ugly pj's and the time I realized you can just have pj's that look ok to go out (been doing rompers for a while) my self esteem just skyrocketed.
Love to see there's still people doing basic thrift flips! Besides this channel, every single one I find is either no longer active or stopped doing thrift flips years ago. I still see people who are advance at sewing making "thrift flips" but they mostly just use the fabric to make an entirely new thing, which is great! but too advanced for me to try and recreate. This is the perfect level for me :)
The ruffle instructions make sense! A clever technique :-) I love the gold dress so much! But I'm also super impressed by how you frankensteined the harley tank! And it turned out so cute :-D
A bias tape maker would definitely help to make straps. Also, use a knit or zigzag stitch on stretchy fabrics so the seams can stretch a little with the fabric
I can't believe you did a Minju Kim inspired Thrift Flip! This concept has my whole heart. Two years ago I got obsessed with the late 60s early 70s style of trapeze mini dress and then I watched Next in Fashion and was like: SHE GETS IT. I'm so excited to try this! I totally get your ruffle technique. A great idea and so helpful. :D I know this video is old, but I am definitely going to try to do that dress. I will tag you if I finish it. :D I'm wondering about the fabric. It looks very stiff and substantial, like a heavy decorator fabric for upholstery. Is that a necessity for this cut or could I use something softer/lighter weight?
