It takes time, talent and courage to attempt covering this Luther Vandross version of this song. When the great artist Ernie Barnes died, young artists didn't stop painting. I believe Luther's soul is happy and humming right along with this young man...in appreciation and gratitude for keeping his legacy alive and well. I totally enjoyed it...Bravo!!!

He is sharp and look like Luther and sound like him 🙌🙌🙌. Praying that the world goes back to normal so that we can go to live concerts again. We never know what we're missing until we don't have it anymore. Those musicians are fire too.

I've been singing since 1969 so I recognize good singers when I hear them and I see them. One of these days I'm going to put a show together but the bunch of talented singers and it will be awesome.
I’m a Luther fans from Luthers beginning. This man did a fantastic job. But baby Luther had just something that this performance didn’t have. I saw every Luther concert when ever he came any where in California are any near by states I and my husband were there. The first time I heard this song, it was about 3AM, and I pulled the car over to give it my undivided attention. When it was over, I wondered if I really heard it right, could hardly believe it. Now this man has attempted to recreate the best performance I’ve ever heard, and does a great job of it. I’m aware that he spent years studying Luther, and now this is his music, and his performance, and I hope I hear that he is coming to a venue in SoCal, because I would like to hear him. Excellence!

I always marvel at artist that can give performances soooo close to the originating artist absolutely beautiful....
He has a tremble in his singing voice that Luther didn’t have. His speaking voice sounds more like Luther. I would go to his concert.
Just so you'll know sweetheart, the "tremble" in his voice is called vibrato. He executed it well and did a nice job...keeping Luther's memory alive for sure.

He was phenomenal on the Soul Train Cruise! Alot of people were skeptical until he came out on stage, what a major surprise!
It was mentioned that they were just coming from the soul train cruise when the band was introduce that evening. I would’ve loved to of been on that cruise!

I was there that night. My mother, who is a certified Luther fanatic dragged me to see the show. Really didn't want to see somebody try to duplicate what can't be duplicated. BUT I was pleasantly surprised by the band and by the vocalist. This audio doesn't do him justice. HE SOUNDED GREAT!
Now of course he's not Luther. No one will ever be or come close to. BUT I was thoroughly entertained and I'm very stingy with my praise. You can not be Luther and still be damn good. He he was!

I had tickets for this but could not make it. I've never been so disappointed in my life as Luther is my all time favorite R&B soul singer. Two years later i booked again but again, something happened which prevented me from going. So sad again. I see that Ruben will be playing near me. Going this time!
