The funniest reaction I ever got from my Dachshund what was the first time I showed it a Jack in The box. She grew to hate that thing. She actually got to where she learned the music and knew when it was about to come out, those last few seconds her lips would start to quiver.
There are NO cons to my mini Doxy° my Doxy house broke himself and we live on a sailboat! He is NOT a barker nor are my daughters 2 Doxies. He gets along with my 5 other 100 plus pound dogs and always has. Plus he plays well with the 2 cats. My mini is the perfect little guy.
once you accept they can be jerks, you have taken the first step, in the words of my breeder at their core they are still wolves. some of them are really hard on cats and trust me a cat is no match even for a miniature. you get all the good and all the bad of a hunting hound dog.
