Well i currently went to an audition :)!
But when they ask you “talk a little about yourself”
Say something your Passionate about
Introduce yourself
Never say “i am passionate about acting”
What type of hobbys do you have
Maybe something you created!
And it should be good enough but if not just start the basics like your favorite color and if you can speak a diffetent language or a short story not too long

I am quite the talker, I could chat all day but when it comes to books I could talk on and on, I loooovve books especially fantasy its nice to get away from reality for just that moment. I love retelling and explaining a story. When it comes to dancing I just enjoy that feeling of letting your body take control and flo with the music letting yourself go. I would like to believe I am capable of singing,cause i love singing and you know how it feels when you ace a note and that smile and pride that shines through, and you know what I am so going off topic here I am rambling again. Well that's little about me and my wild personality, if u can call it that ;)

I'm not an actor but I always get asked this question when applying for any type of job. I NEVER know what to say when this comes up. Like I literally just go blank! I think it's because I'm just nervous because I usually have to answer it in front of a group of people😬
If you think of a few fun things to talk about before, it will make it a lot more fun and easier. 😊

What should I say when they ask “what makes you good for this role?”
I can also make a whole video on this but the short answer is how do you emotionally connect to the role. If you have experience in whatever that role is about, I would share a short story (10-20 seconds) on how it impacted you profoundly.

So , I also want to apply for a theatre and dance school and for the application I need to upload 1min video where I say smth about my world . My idea is to dress up as a flamenco dancer and to talk about how I started flamenco classes and how I find this dance quite theatrical. And somewhere in the mid of the video to take my make up off in order to present my natural self and to show that this is what art can do at a person’s soul and mind

Yeah, some self tape auditions like this one, they base it on your personality and how you are on camera.
I am a very hardworking person, I can adapt to new changes easily, obviously I love love love acting and I love tv shows. Like stranger things, umbrella academy, etc! :) (hopefully this is good!)
These are great, but think of something within this to share. A story, an experience, something that changed your life or had a huge emotional impact and why.

Hmmm.... Wondering, i have so many hobbies, I'm passionate about my faith, I go gymnastics when I can and working towards a beginners competition in August, choirs etc. I have a passion for science as well, not quite sure how to fit it all in 1 minute

I just got my first audition off of Ohio casting calls website. I left my profile up on there because I graduated from John Casablancas back in high school and I always dreamed of being an actress. I haven't done anything with it recently because I had a kid a few years ago and I had to focus on family. A director on the Ohio casting calls website recently requested for me to submit video auditions for the three roles they wanted me to try out for. They didn't have any guidelines for what they were looking for in a video. I started to freak a little because I want to submit a video audition but I'm a little lost on what to do. I came across your videos on TH-cam. I know about slating but I need to refresh. I know you need to say your name, your age and if you represented by a company but is that it? I'm independent. I have no idea what to say in the video. Since I watched your video I feel like I could talk about the role and why I want to do it but that's about as far as I know. If I could get some help or advice because I need to submit the video in the next couple days, I would really appreciate it!

What information did they provide in the casting call? Is there a script attached for you to film that? When someone requests an audition, it usually has some kind of instructions. For your slate, if they didn't ask specifically, just say your name clearly and have a small pause between your first and last name.
@@BelgicaPaola that's the thing I'm used to them having some kind of instruction. The only thing I found on there was a brief summary of the show, characters names and descriptions of those characters and that's it. I replied to an email asking if they had anything specific they wanted me to have in it. I'm waiting for a reply.
@@BelgicaPaola so do you mean if they didn't post anything for the video instructions to just slate with a brief pause? I was thinking of creating each characters look in each of the videos I have to do and maybe talk about why I want to be that character. Maybe highlight what I could bring to it?

Hey I really hope you look at this I have an zoom audition tomorrow and 2 things I like to do is Track and field and workout and listen to music/ motivational speeches but I do not know how sum all that up in like 30 seconds if they ask me
Hi Kindra, why do you like track and field/working out? Why do you like music? Do these things help you with any obstacles/challenges. It might be more interesting to hear those in addition to mentioning that you like them. Also, have you even competed or won awards doing any of this? If you want to share your favorite quote and why, this might also be great so they get to know your reasoning being it.
@@BelgicaPaola 2. I am an athlete I am very passionate about track and field because it helps me motivate myself and stay focus it also teaches me about how much I want to succeed. I enjoy listening to music because it lightens my mood when I am down, it helps me cope with things I am going through, and it helps me work out productively.

Hello Neve, I think it is a little too similar unless it is a very unique story about theatre and you are telling it in a captivating way. I would really suggest to stay away from that just because it is likely 10 other actors are going to say the same thing. Let me know how it goes. 😊

Yes one time I had to sing in front of my class for a project and I remember being so nervous. Then when I sang, I thought “that was not as bad as I thought!” Is that a good thing to share?

@@BelgicaPaola well of what I am going to do and say. The casting just said said a self tape and some picks to audition if you are a girl names Margarita and over the age of 25. It’s for a drink commercial. Here is my sample script :
“ Hi! My name is Di’Margaret Serafin , I am 28 years old, 5’3, Latina and based out of beautiful Miami. And I’m auditioning for the role of Margarita. Although my name is Di’Margaret I wanted to give this audition a shot. My name was given to me with the combination of my grandmothers name being Margarita and my mom being Diana. So because of that, my name happened. And I’m happy to audition for this role because, well... who doesn’t need a drink from a Margarita every once in a while 😉🌺”

Hi Belgica, I have signed a contract with a modelling agency a few months ago but until now I have failed to get any job, they send me many casting to do self tapes I am never able to secure any job, could you please help me?
Hi Denise! I am not familiar with what it is like to get jobs as a model. You said they are sending you self-tape requests. Do they also represent you for commercial and theatrical work? It is very common to do lots of auditions and not get booked. I suggest asking your agents or acting couch (if you have one) for feedback.

Hello! For this type of audition, it should just be you talking about something. If it is an audition for a scripted show and they gave you sides (lines)I say yes, if at all possible. It will increase your chances of getting cast by a lot. Put simply, your acting will be SO much better if you actually know the lines and you will give them a good first impression that you are professional and prepare. Even if you are starting out, this is a great thing to do!

There are NONE :) There are some that Disney directors/writers like but you would have to do research specifically for that show. I described how to do this research in one of the Stranger Things. But I will be sure to make one dedicated on how to do this research.
