I know! First couple minutes in, I got that impression too. She's super relaxed and works well with his energy. As sweet as he is, I don't think Adam Driver is the easiest person to interview due to anxiousness/shyness/etc. But she works with it like a pro.
Part of me likes hearing about the actor and behind the scenes stuff, but I don’t like the pandering that goes along with the celebrity culture. An interviewer seems to always love everything about the actor and the movie in these types of interviews. What if the movie sucks? Would she tell him? Or bc she has to get info from him does she fawn over him? I don’t like celebrity worship. Ok, they risked putting themselves out there, that does take a bit of cajones. But beyond that, are they actually better humans than non-celebrities? I can’t with the way we categorize each other in society and place celebrities on a false pedestal. It’s a turn off.
Marianne Gary It is indeed truly a turn off especially when you see people throw themselves into celebrities. That is why celebs have huge egos. We placed them in that pedestal. This interview is super awesome though.
I've been a fine artist and graphic artist. I love Adam Driver, but he is a true artist in film. He does not want to see himself on screen because a scene may have been not finished, or rushed and he can not take it. He is so dark and married to a blonde. That will never work. Opposites don't attract, but the final Star Wars film is amaze. Just wish I saw more of him in the film.
