Bought one $12,570 out the door. I’m an “older guy”.I knew I wasn’t going to buy another dirtbike for a looong time if ever again. I wanted something nice looking and not what everyone has. It’s probably way over my head but I’m not going to be battling anyone on the track just on the bench.
Excellent bike other than the LTX rims, the KX450 comes standard with DLC forks and STX rims. The works edition should come with a GET ECU and Wifi tuning so you can dial in ignition and fueling.
Shhhhiii - it takes me 2 - 3 years just to save for a bike! Just no way that I'd get rid of a bike within 1-3 years now!!! Haha Bought my TM Racing EN300ES and won't be able to purchase a 450 until another 3 years or so, and will probably hold onto them forever...bikes are just too darn expensive for this man's blue collar dollar! 10k+Reg & Title fees + sales tax + ~6k in aftermarkets for tailoring ergos, performance, handling, and power delivery!!!! Basically the price of a new street vehicle, so you definetly want to take your time researching what you want vs. What the manufacturers offer, cause normal errday people can't buy this stuff every year. But I'm not gonna lie, the experience you get makes the price worth every single penny! 💪👌👍🤘
Glad to see Honda actually put something into these Works editions. The '19 WE was basically a stock bike with graphics and a slip on. That being said, im still not paying $13K for a dirt bike.
Yes keefer the 3s is a lot better tire. I was disappointed when they changed the 33 front to how it is now. I prefer the 3s with the tall middle knobs top tire.
I’ve got an ‘07 RM 250. I’ll never get rid of it but would really love to have a 350 or 450 just for the smooth power and ease of everything. I’m getting older.
@@paulbricklebank4050 dude, I will NEVER sell the bike. I wouldn’t trade it for a brand new WE/FE even. I’ve got a couple videos on my channel. Nothing great though 👍🏼
No billet triple lamps for that price? Also, I just looked at an HRC walk around of Sexton's bike... that also has a Yoshi exhaust, the WE's muffler looks bigger, so I'm guessing the factory guys are use a custom one? Thanks!
i want to know if this bike has actual a-kit suspension on it? because apparently stock bike has 49mm forks according to a shootout video i watched and this bike does have the 18mm shock shaft. so if you buy the works addition and you get coatings on your forks and shock and there the bigger size, are the internals the same as the a-kit? is it a-kit? or just a lookalike? has anyone ever took it apart to check and see? does anyone know???
Great point!! I seriously doubt it is A kit level suspension, but hopefully the valving has been changed? Or at least the spread of potential damping adjustment should be broad enough to effect meaningful changes.....
@@robertrishel3685 I did alot of searching and reading to find out it is revalved but the spring on the Shock is stock so I assume valves on forks are redone but springs probably stock it's touched up lookalike suspension still better than stock tho :)

Hi there, 2 questions for you guys. Do you feel like this WE has better suspension settings than the R, like better valving, more friendly and smooth to ride ? And i just bought a 450 CRF 2021, i'm 143pds so a bit light compare to other riders, do you think i should change the spring on the suspensions and get rid of the arsh feeling at the top ? Thanks a lot, love your channel !
Why does it matter what anyone else thinks? I mean not to be rude but you can get all this information yourself. Go to race tech use their spring weight calculator they’ll tell you what you need to buy and then you go and buy them. It will also tell you what stock is but if you are really worried about it send your suspension off to someone.
@@Ry_Pox yep thanks, i've already tried that and Racetech say that i need softer springs, i just wanted to know if somebody light as me have found any other solution ;)
Heard from who? Keefer is a straight up dude and he also help with testing and R&D for these 21 Honda 450s . I highly doubt they would be brave enough to lie about it having ported heads because it quickly would come out that they are only polished
I know for a FACT because I have personally had a 2021 CRF450RWE brand new and bare cylinder head in my hands. The intake and the exhaust ports are smoothed and ported at the transitions points from the steel valve seats to the aluminum. This improves flow tremendously! They are not fully ported throughout the entire intake or exhaust ports and they are in no way polished. The ECU on every 450RWE is remapped to match the ported cylinder head to increase performance. I personally own one and it's absolutely incredible!
@@ttm3311 Well since I can't reply to everyone who comments on my original comment just know this, one I am not saying that Keefer is wrong, I am no dummy and I realize he know's his shit. He is simply repeating what the honda engineers have said about the "ported and polished" head on the crf450rwe since honda introduced its first iteration. I also feel as if I misspoke and will take the blame fully for that, however I got my facts from MXA which I also trust greatly. After looking up there words exactly they said the engines receive a mild milling which is neither porting nor polishing.
@@fox13z400 they never claimed anywhere that it was polished if you heard that someone just included it in their sentence. The milling of the head regardless to how big or small is still porting. Same thing with cars you can street port race port and so on. It’s all porting just different amounts.
