Tips for more performance: 1. You can play the game on a window to increase perfomance drastically; 2. You're 100% right about optimization, but implementing DLSS/FSR/XESS into a game engine that doesn't already support it is difficult, and ARMA Reforger's Enfusion Engine doesn't natively support it. FSR 1.0 is a much simpler and faster to implement, unlike FSR later version of FSR and DLSS/XESS, which is why it's the only upscaling technology currently available.

The issue with most engines is that when you put the graphics settings on the lowest preset, it offloads most of the processing to the CPU, and almost nothing goes to the GPU. This is why you get better performance with higher quality settings on some things.

What is your opinion in frame generation options like FMF2 (fluid motion frames 2) for "newer" amd cards? i was able to go from 100 fps unstable (sometimes more sometimes less) to almost perfectly stable 165 fps. the added latency is noticeable but its reported as only 8 ms by the driver, (i suspect its around 20 ms in practice and based around my calculations). i achieved that by limiting the fps to half the refresh rate of my monitor (82.5) and then enabling that option to generate x2 the frames. got the most stable config with those enabled , the added input lag is there but much more consistant so i think its more managable than it spiking all the time

Seriously play this game low video output console and medium PC for better performance because the servers are capped at 30-60fps anyway and the environment ain't such as bigger hit graphics as you'd think.
Grass distance aswell, but that's up to the developers to tweak. Also, server owners can put a minimum grass render distance, I wonder if they can cap distant shadows aswell
Man the hardware anti aliasing is horrible haha. Such a performance hit for such little improvement. Crazy to think it's still being used these days when we've had such massive improvements and options when it comes to AA.
Yes, and the environment setting aswell - why does it take such a massive hit? I can't wait for the day they will implement a better AA and/or upscaler
Even if I put all settings to low this game still runs like complete shit. Even on a fresh install of Windows 11. Even tried it on Bazzite SteamOS. I have a 12900k/32GB/RTX 3080 12GB.
Many things can be the problem here: -Does the same happen for other games? -Did you download the Nvidia drivers? -Are you using the CPU's GPU (integrated GPU) instead of the Nvidia one? -Did you plug the HDMI / DP cable in your motherboard instead of the graphics card?

Arma Reforger is a GPU intensive title, so changing your GPU would be better.
You also have to understand that it depends on the graphic settings you are using and the resolution.
@@thepurestchaos makes sense, thanks - i do use FHD, and to be honest no matter of settings FPS are more/less same, that's why i wondered about CPU change, but as for now there is nothing good available were i live, 7800x3d price went x2
Hey, sorry to be that guy but i aint getting much help by other ppl, i m looking for a cpu/gpu combo that can allow me to run this game at high/medium settings at 1080p (framerate between 70-90fps would be good i guess).
Doesnt have to be EVERY setting at high but just a nice combo of visuals and framerate.
Thanks in advance!
I usually play conflict pvp, what would be the best setting down this list for that, i could care less about how beautiful the game looks, i just want high fps and able to identify the enemy easier. any help would be appreciated!
I believe grass is the main setting to lower in order to spot enemies better, you can play around with the other settigns, it does not matter that much
Can you do this for uhhh..all video games. Thanks 😂
haha, some people recommended me some games to do it but I simply don't have them
You legend. o7
Seriously play this game low video output console and medium PC for better performance because the servers are capped at 30-60fps anyway and the environment ain't such as bigger hit graphics as you'd think.
server cap 60 means i just can adjust my settings to a stable 60fps cause more does not give me a bigger advantage?
14:34 so basically what the f. this is straight up an exploit.
Many things can be the problem here:
-Does the same happen for other games?
-Did you download the Nvidia drivers?
-Are you using the CPU's GPU (integrated GPU) instead of the Nvidia one?
-Did you plug the HDMI / DP cable in your motherboard instead of the graphics card?
who on earth run this game in ultra its impossible
Thanks a lot, mate!
amazing vid
No, you're amazing
