johnny and daniel are great fighters, but they are NOT intimidating. mike barnes is a world class tournament expert and has the look and sound of a DI in the marine corps who is not only begging but able to kick the crap outta someone. this is gonna be a great final season. i cannot wait to see him interact with kreese again.

She is in this season. Initially she wasn’t able to be in it because she had gave birth to twins but since the writers strike caused production for this season to be delayed she later became available to be there.

Hopefully they are all friendly disagreement because there has been so much spent getting them all together - and it was done in such a magnificent way i would hate to see it undone.

I spoke with Sean Kanan many times about it. He had to put on weight for another role prior to season 5. Since that time, Sean has lost a fair amount of weight and looks fantastic! It has been a year since we hung out. He is in tremendous shape.

YESSSSS mike and Johnny's bromance was pure gold last season I hope it's more of the same s6.
Tanner, Mary and Griffin are so cringe, Peyton and Oona are clearly the most down to earth. They treat Peyton's character like rubbish, she's lost to Sam in S2, 3, basically 4 cause all the fanboys said Sam was the real champ and scored 3 points, and Sam wins again in S6. It's a disgrace the special treatment Sam and Miyagi Do gets. The trailer was the worst I ever seen, Mary is so fake and mid, she's not even in shape compared to Peyton or even Oona. Anthony and Kenny are just pointless, should have never been in the show. They turned Tory into the female Kyler and had her lose every big fight, Tory has beat no one good, even Kenny got a better win than Tory which proves the writers are sexist. Robby Miguel and Hawk are all overrated too, Jacob lost to Tanner irl at wrestling and Tanner can barely bench his own body weight, I have seen so many women out lift him who are way stronger than him. Peyton should have quit this show but she's too kind and they take advantage of that, Hannah Alicia Kim admitted the writers lied to her and wouldn't let her do stunts she wanted cause Alicia is legit and would embarrass the likes of Jacob and Tanner, sexist and washed show. Remember all the fanboys said Griffin was like 6 foot cause of certain angles in a picture? the dude is like 5'7 lmfao.

Daniel and his 2 kids are so unlikeable and are painted as good guys, the whole premise of the show was to show Cobra Kai could be different decades later. But they reverted to the same old boring tired nonsense Cobra Kai are the bad guys and gotta go, Miyagi Do are the good guys and can do no wrong, I never bought it. Should have kept Miyagi Do out of the show totally it's ruined everything. Tory never got her big win cause they can have Sam lose straight up or look bad, there always has to be an excuse for Miyagi Do not winning, it's a fake fighting style, any amateur MMA fighters, kickboxer or wrestler would obliterate these bums. It's a shame cause this show had real potential, but they went down the kiddy route with Anthony and Kenny, who actually cares about that storyline? Robby is too small and not believable as a fighter, Sam isn't either, it's clear favouritism.

Agreed. Daniels Kids (especially Sam) are so unlikeable and it's the same old (Cobra Kai being the Bad Guy fighting dirty Miyagi Do being the Good Guy who can do no wrong even though Daniels Kids provoked other Kids). I think Miyagi Do could've been brought back later in the Series as an Antagonist while the majority of the Series is focused on Cobra Kai affiliated Characters with Johnny, Kreese, Silver, Barnes, etc. fighting it out for control of Cobra Kai.

Miyagi Do bias this show has, the writers clearly have no clue abot fighting it's all fake. Any amateur MMA fighter or even basic wrestler/kickboxer would destroy all the guys Tanner, Jacob and Xolo no diff, That Rayna girl would obliterate these fakes lol. Any female fighter would destroy them easily. Their fake martial artists, Mary is a big fake as well. Robby beating the CK dojo in S4 was awful writing and made CK look weak, after Shawn and some nobodies beat up Robby a few episodes previous, Tory can't last 10 seconds? it's total sexism and bias. Robby started teaching that fake fighting Miyagi Do which doesn't work irl. An average guy would fold Tanner/Robby, Tanner lost to Jacob irl and Jacob admitted Peyton could beat him irl so these guys are hype jobs, they can't fight out of a paper bag.
Not to spoil anything here...but I am NOT sold on this concept of Mike Barnes.
I may be the odd one out here. Am I happy to see Mike Barnes return? Yes. But as far as beefing him up this much? No. We must remember that Silver's guys incapacitated him VERY quickly in season 5. Johnny, was on his own with all of them and was still standing in the end. IMO from what we have seen of Johnny vs Mike Barnes so far...Johnny is the better fighter.
Further let's look at Mike Barnes's record in the franchise.
Miyagi vs Barnes: Miyagi wins.
Daniel vs Barnes: Daniel wins.
Terry Silver's guys vs Barnes: Silver's guys wins.
Mike Barnes has not had a single victory in the franchise. The only thing he succeeded in doing was making Danny boy piss his pants...and after Daniel's fight for life against Chozen this was something that Daniel should have been so far advanced to have never let happen.
I just don't see the hype that is being put into Barnes.
in Karate Kid 3, Mike Barnes was deemed a "tournament terror". Clearly, Silver hired Mike in KK3 because he was possibly the best tournament winner out there. As you know, tournament wins do not mean you are the best actual fighter. It means you are the best tournament winner for points.
Example: a karate master that can win point sparring does not mean you will also win in the UFC. I guess that is why they are hyping him up in this manner.

That argument of yours doesn't work when you remember who the national champion was, Johny is not even close to Mike's level, and if Mike was defeated at Silver's mansion it was because of the script, and because he was hit from behind, your argument is broken. It falls apart, besides it makes sense that they called Mike, neither Daniel nor Johny have experience in NATIONAL tournaments, they only won local tournaments, Mike is a national champion: End.

Do I like the character of Mike Barnes? Yes. Do I think he is over hyped? Absolutely! In reality he has been since KK3...stop and look at it: Daniel had already fought for his life against Chozen there was NO reason he should have been afraid of a bully that he was going to fight in a tournament.
I am just not sold on the hype of a character who has not had a single victory in the franchise.
