There’s something about this scene I love so much. Johnny isn’t wrong in the way he explained it because you have to remember this was decades ago. He’s obviously going to remember the bits and pieces that affected him. The way that is shot, the emotion, the acting, the music. I just feel like this scene is too real. I usually don’t like watching reboots but this definitely is the best reboot I’ve ever seen.
He wasn't the bad guy but he wasn't always the good guy either and he is NOT innocent. The true bad guy is John Kreese and Terry Silver isn't far behind. Yes David (Kreese's bully), the Captain in the war, and Sensei Kim are all evil too but how Kreese and Silver acted and continue to act are true testaments as to how evil they are. Johnny, Chozen, and Mike Barnes have fought hard to right their wrongs of the past. Danny boy is SO ARROGANT with his holier than though attitude these days. I hope he learns a thing or two in the end and stays on top in a more humble way.
@@stevekov6740 I agree with that. I was just talking about one theory I had heard on a podcast. I actually like how they developed Johnny, Daniel, Mike Barnes, and Chozen into Allies. At the end of it all they were just four young vulnerable kids..
@@stevekov6740 kreese was actually the good guy, in that war he saved all his warmates, he was a warhero, and also there was a scene where he took a beating from a sensei to help a girl start getting karate lessons, he was only harsh on johnny cause he wanted him to be a winner and not feel bad about himself
It was blatantly clear that it was all true up to the evening of Halloween within the original karate kid film After the last dangerous running leaping side kick the law says that the cobra 🐍 kai karate group beat themselves up
It was partly true actually. Johnny shouldn't have gotten his own buddies to provoke danny by tripping and mocking him getting danny booted off the soccer team using familiarity tactics

No one was correct in this situation they both were wrong : Danny stopping his daughter Johnny for hitting Daniel Thus what the guy who put the first comment is a hundred percent true ,Johnny didn’t restrain Miguel from going out with her even though he is extreme in the things he has done(almost drowning Miguel) yet letting him have his own choice in the matter
RisingVictor same. Better pacing, humour, and drama. But of course massive respects for the original for bringing it to life in the first place of course
diffenrent point of view, cause they make us love the old antagonist. In back to the future 2, biff recall his story about how he crash his car but biff still is the villain. Now they make it believable that daniel fucked up his world
As a guy in his late 30s whose life hasn't worked out, this scene hit really hard. When you're young, you think youth will last forever and then when it doesn't, it can be too late.
I know all about life not working out as you plan. But I also know that Jesus Christ is there to pick up the pieces and help those who put their trust in Him. If you've never thought about doing that, I urge you to do so. It is the best decision and most important one all of us have to make.

@@Pete_Finch I appreciate the kind words. Glad to hear things are going better for you. I imagine having a background in science and history might make it difficult for you to think about how Jesus Christ would fit in with all of that. I have friends with doctorates in the science fields, with backgrounds in biology and chemistry who would be the first to tell anyone how Jesus Christ has changed their lives. As for me, I was very much a skeptic and a cynic when it came to religion. I saw the hypocrisies and it turned me off. But Jesus Christ is not about religion; He's about having a relationship with us. I would encourage you to take some time to study the Gospels and the New Testament and ask the Lord to show you if He's real. If you are willing to do it with sincerity and humility, He will make Himself real to you. And I'll tell you this - once you have an encounter with Jesus Christ, all the doubt and the skepticism just melts away. He is willing to make Himself real to all who seek to know if He is real. And He'll do that for you.

Perhaps true though, even the bloke who played johnny admitted his character was the real bully along with his cobra kai karate posse within the original karate kid film
Your right! We get so caught up in Johnny the character, like hes real...not considering hes playing a character he last played 30 yrs ago! And doesnt skip a beat!
That's the beauty of perspective. Everything he says is true, but then everything Daniel says is true as well. Johnny had left Daniel alone for over two months, so why did Daniel douse Johnny with a water hose? There's no indefinite truth to this scenario and neither of them are saints.
Allie wasn't worth it. I mean she dumped Johnny and went to Daniel, then dumped him for a UCLA football player. So both Johnny and Daniel got treated like shit by the same girl.
And you're surprised beeeecaaaaause.....? 🤣 Pretty sure she may have liked Daniel a little, but then when she found out it pissed off Johnny she wanted to date him even harder. She liked the bad boy and then went to the good guy, then got bored and moved on.
To be fair, people need to move on. She broke up with Johnny even before meeting Daniel. And eventually, she realized that she didn't actually like him and broke up. And Johnny WAS a bully...
I love this scene because it's a good reminder that these guys were both kids going through their own stuff and handling how someone their age probably would
No, it's to show that a narcissist believes they are always in the right, and go through mental gymnastics to believe it. Here he says expressly that "I went over to have a civilized conversation," to show he's protesting too much to believe it.
I love how this show gives each character a perspective where everyone has different opinions on who is good and who is bad. It really seems to be that everyone is equal here and no one is blatantly bad or good.
What makes this show so great is focusing on the Johnny Lawrence character. Great job by all involved taking a character that was just a 'bad guy' in the first film, and adding a lot of depth to the character.
I’m sorry, but the people who’s mantra is “No Mercy” are most likely the bad guys. This show completely cuts out the growth that occurred at the end of Karate Kid. All for the Kobra Kai kids turned their back on Kobra Kai when they realized how dishonorable and toxic it was. Remember when they all bowed to Mr. Miyagi and JOHNNY hands DANNY the trophy? The movie already showed that they had found a mutual respect for each other. That was the whole point. It didn’t matter who won or lost. They settled everything by giving their all on the mat. This series completely regresses both Johnny and Danny 8n the worst ways.
Well that’s the real world, bad guys do good things and good guys do bad things, whether intentions and motives are justified or not varies, although some people do some really sick and twisted things that I can’t explain, but eh, kids shows just paint everything black and white is all I’m saying
@@andrewmiller3055 No; even with Kreese, they explain the origin of his behavior and his perspective. Despite at least one character (can't remember which. Larusso's wife, maybe?) saying he's a sociopath, they clearly explain how he lost his path due to PTSD from 'nam. Its clear he's an antagonist, but he's not blatantly evil. You could argue for a lot of the things he says, and we also might do well to remember that some of the lessons Johnny teaches due ultimately source themselves from Kreese. Kreese is fucked up and there's nothing to be done for it, but that doesn't mean there isn't a reason for his behavior. Kreese in this show is a good example of why sociopaths generally make shitty characters, no matter if you cast them as villains as heroes... You want depth to a character. Also, in season 3, when they were defending the tournament and all that, they (almost/in a way) showed Kreese, Danny, and Johnny as almost equal ideologies the way they cut between their speeches and showed them in the... whatever you call that anime/comic thing where you show a shot of one person in one location next to shots of other people in other locations. Kreese is wrong, but he's not completely wrong; in a war, you might have to make tough choices and you do want the best of the best and to win at all costs, more or less. Compare that to villains that just want power/whatever and come off conceited. Some villains aren't even enjoyable to think about, and people act like having an annoying villain is somehow a good thing, like that bitch in GOT who tore the letter from the king into pieces, but I guess not everyone agrees with me on that one. Still, he's not blatantly evil.
Awesome scene, really shows depth to Johnny’s character. He’s really not a bad guy at heart. He was just influenced by the wrong people as a kid and never was able to fully recover from the loss.
No, it shows how a narcissist will actually remember things in their own favor, by twisting them through mental gymnastics, as their messed-up ego does whatever it needs to do to protect itself. I've lived with narcissists before, and they remember things VERY differently than they actually happened; and will go doxing people with personal details that didn't happen just to humiliate them.
I love that he leaves out details and parts that make it look like he was wrong. Because that's what we do in real life too. Cobra Kai adds so much color and life to the entire series. It's crazy
He wasn't completely wrong though. Daniel was the one who provoked Johnny into beating him up after the hose prank even though Johnny had left him alone for months.
@@vetarlittorf1807 Johnny was indeed the first one to put his hands and attack Daniel by pushing him on the ground when Daniel was just trying to diffuse the tension between him and Ali after seeing things getting pretty physical between them. What Daniel did with the hose in all honesty was just an annoying prank situation warranted a good punch in the stomach after being caught honestly, not the type of beating which he got and it's pretty obvious that he wouldn't of done that at all if he already didn't have issues with Johnny which Johnny being the one that actually started it in the first place.
@@guess6635 all he did was push him it wasent Daniels business so he just told him to mind his business then started to try and attack him like he said
I think a lot of you guys are missing the point. Of course Johnny's side of the story makes him look like the good guy. This feels very true to life. Most people only have selective memories, not to mention, our own perspectives where we usually view ourselves favorably. Add to that the fact that Johnny is recalling memories from 34 years ago whereas we're nitpicking after probably watching The Karate Kid within the past couple of years. Of course he's going to remember things wrong. And don't forget that Daniel, too, selectively edits his story to make himself like purely the victim. He doesn't mention turning the hose on Johnny or taunting him and his friends on campus. He exaggerates being pushed down a hill to being pushed down a "cliff". This is not to say Daniel is the "bully" or a bad guy. Neither one of them is truly a bad guy. They're both human. And remembering things differently, depending on our perspective, is a very human flaw.
Most of danny's problems stem from a move he didn't want to make Saw danny the victim of 4 sets of bullies 1. Arrogant and selfish Mother larusso who moved danny away from his home, friends and family without consulting him properly 2. Freddy fernandez and his so called buddies who actually encouraged the beach conflict then when he lost his neighbor and friends treated him like a crab - what a bunch of posers and hypocrites 3. the cobra kai karate group who purposely continued to harass and bully him 4 mistreatment myagi ( or whatever his real name was supposed to be )
He lost on the evening of Halloween. He should have just left danny alone after being asked to stop 4 times all up by his own friend, bobby brown. No excuses for extremely bad behaviour plus antics already mentioned somewhat Including the next morning in the cobra 🐍 kai kar8 group dojo obviously though, dutch was even worse but, johnny also won at the same time. He won a non life prison sentence.
Gotta love how well written this show is, Johnny went from being a one off villain in the original movie to a well written protagonist, I still argue there are both sides of the story and I like Daniel and Johnny equally especially by the end of season 2, I think they’re both great characters who are flawed and who’s hearts are in the right place while their heads aren’t, I’m ready for season 3 and I hope they can finally make amends for good
to be fair, he wasn't just a one-dimensional villain in the original, if you really watch he's not that much of an arse, this is especially seen when kreese tells him to sweep the leg and he shows clear discomfort/shock/disagreement in doing so
@@aydenduke2556 yeah for a movie like that he was pretty realistic. Just like Miyagi wasn't some cliche either, but the character with the most interesting backstory
Always remember that when someone is telling you a story, it's never the complete story. The way he told the story is more accurate to what happened than most people in real life will give you.
I mean, what was inaccurate about his story? Daniel was 100% in the wrong in that entire film. Daniel was a bitch and won with an illegal head kick. Fuck Daniel. He’s a bitch
No, he refuses to acknowledge that he definitely started the drama between him and Daniel. And Daneil only sucker punched him because he pushed him first. And Johnny also left out the part how they chased Daniel down a cliff all because he showed up to the dojo. That shower curtain was nothing.
Jimmy Turner, he pushed Daniel down. That is where the violence was initiated. Daniel retaliated but then said they were even and tried to shake Johnny's hand. Johnny violently attacked Daniel again any way, and he beat the shit out of him. He did that in front of a lot of people when Daniel was the new kid in the area. He encouraged Bobby to slide tackle Daniel in a soccer game. He also pushed Daniel down a hill on his bike.
What I liked about this scene, is that Johnny's point of view makes perfect sense. When you look at the lack of a good father figure in his life, and the toxic influence of Kreese, how could he not look at all of this any other way?
yeah but don't put the blame on some else . like guy the kick was legal, otherwise daniel wouldn't have won . also johny didn't mention important things and made Dany the bad guy : Dany didn't know that he had just broke up with her, he just flirted with her ... and the they started liking each other. also johny did play some kind of dirty karate when he kicked dunys leg. but under the influence of kreese ... kreese was the real bully but that can't really justify Lawrence's actions . of course daniel did wrong things too. but he was always between the barriers:good and evil . if johny had a teacher like Miyagi he wouldn't be like that. kreese is the bad guy in my opinion
@@bluewavesdave Kreese was a violent guy who was allowed to become a monster through Vietnam. He’s never recovered and passed his toxic ways down to Johnny

The last one went too far but its still not like his doing any serious damage. the 1st too u can kinda see his point as the guy who is still not over his Ex. Daniel shouldnt have provoked someone stronger than him like when he sprayed water on him and after Johnny did leave him alone for a while. Whats even more dumb about the water spray incident is that Daniel could of just spent a great time with Ali at the dance instead of getting into dumb crap by antagonizing Johnny.

Cobra Kai is criminally underrated. Almost everyone I know says that it’s excessively dramatic and unrealistic. But it’s scenes like this that expands on Karate kid that make it 10 times more enjoyable
Of course it is! That's what makes it entertaining. It's all ridiculous. The actors and audience know this - but it's so well written you just settle in and enjoy the ride.
Well it pretty much is unrealistic especially when Silver gets reintroduced into the story but the writers are self aware how crazy ut is especially through Amanda’s dialogue. It’s a comedy drama anyway.
I watched the first episode (only after my son and sister wouldn’t stop hounding me to). As an original Karate Kid fan, I was just subconsciously opposed. With the extreme cheese of it, I almost turned it off, but something made me hang in there. Probably Johnny. By the end of the second episode, I was hooked. By the second season I’m texting my sister at 3 am mid binge asking where the heck is Miyagi’s Purple Heart and yea by the no mercy finale fight, I was officially hooked, watched it all almost twice and about to buy a Cobra Kai hoodie. 😂 Just saying it’s probably the best series ever made. 🤷♀️
Yeah : johnny isn't too bad here as johnny kind of squared things with danny at the end of the original karate kid film plus he tried to warn kyler and his posse outside the convenience store by saying : you guys are messing with the wrong guy on the wrong day instead of instantly giving them a taste of their own medicine so basically johnny ain't so bad after all - there's people even worse

This is what I love about the series, it took old characters from the original Karate Kid movies, and added layers and depths to them. Even for shallowly written characters. Back then Johnny to us was nothing more than a bully. A spoiled rich brat. We never saw this side to him.
The flashbacks in this show kick so hard (no pun intended). I had never seen a Karate Kid movie, got into this show and watched all of them quickly to understand the flashbacks. The Karate Kid Universe is just incredible and the flashbacks in Cobra Kai make it one of the best shows ever.
Hell, the only complaint I have about the trilogy is that it really would work better if the plot of 3 were actually the 2nd movie so that all the Okinawa stuff happens in the 3rd. It'd complete everything and save on having to write out characters
@@Montana-tw7im Now this is a great question. Is hard to tell consider Daniel is the main character but I think in karate kid is actually what happends. The flashbacks show it too, I dont think they would do that if they didnt wanted Daniel's story be true

The Own - I don't think he's doing anything wrong in the series... He's actually helping the kids you say could commit suicide. And Daniel just wouldn't let the past be the past.
The entire time, Johnny still feels like a victim despite his aggressive actions in the film. These kids are now the very thing they were against. You even see this. They are promoting violence, no mercy, unfair fighting, lack of sportsmanship. You even see this with the fat girl and "Hawk". They've all become the people to bully people into what they want. But again, you don't see what these kids are. Again, bully mentality.
alguien1234 yh your right Daniel brought it on him self most of the time he's seems to be more up his own ass than johnny and Johnny grew up with a money back ground
The karate kid wasn't meant to make danny a cookie cut prog antic - the film was supposed to be about the trials and tribulations of the new person in town
Johnny is basically starting to change for the better but, unfortunately in the meantime : he's usually using violence when he doesn't get his own way which is not only bad for his victims - it will likely cause him some kind of grief down the track but, luckily he seems to be slowly changing for the better

Johnny has improved so much from Season 1-4. I love seeing the bond he has with everyone around him. From Miguel to Daniel to Sam even to Robby at the end of Season 4. You can really understand why Johnny turned out the way he did. With his family and with the negative influence from Kreese. I know that he shouldn’t use that as excuse but I felt bad for the guy. I can’t wait to see what Johnny brings and with how he’s gonna do with Robby . Hopefully, it’ll be great.

People are not going to pay attention to this scene but something about it was amazing. I love the background song and the emotion of his thoughts of Ali and Larusso. I really think Ali will come back for 2 to 6 episodes to complete the story between the two or maybe extend it.
I dont really want Ali to come back... she's married now. I would like to see Johnny pursue a new relationship and grow as a character....that would be awesome
I mean I think it would be fine and even better if she came back for just an episode or two. Also he mentions or thinks about her many times this season it is reasonable.

He just doesn't hasn't learned "perspective" and "empathy" and that colours the memories a bit. He's the rocket straight from the 80's. You must remember that Johnny is a loner. He was taught by dubious father figures and a friendship circle just like him, so he was in an echo-chamber all throughout his teen and adult life. After that, he went through life alone- never really learning anything other than how he was brought up. He remained a 16 yeard old kid, UNTIL Miguel walked into his life and he got the first real introduction to what life is like or look like, from people who have been brought up differently. This opens up a whole new phase of learning as Miguel causes him to be more and more exposed to things, people and viewpoints he never really encountered or experienced- and that's what changes him. He finally grows up and goes past 16.

I wouldn't say it made him look like a victim, more like it made him look like an actual complex human being, with both good and bad inside of him, instead of a completely bad, one dimensional, spoiled brat, 80's bully, which is how the first movie made him look, because he was that movie's antagonist.
Ali flirted with Daniel, Johnny tried to talk, but then broke her radio, bad coping skills, lets see, Daniel was being nice, Johnny started the fight and threw the radio at him, makes no sense idoit.
Goofball Productions Daniel is the real bully. He should’ve minded his own business but didn’t . Yea what Jonny did to the radio wasn’t right but all he was doing was self defense because all Jonny did was trip him then Daniel sucker punched him and Jonny wasn’t gonna just leave it at that and let him have the win so he took it
Goofball Productions Daniel tried to get involved in Johnny’s business so he could seem like a hero to Ali. If he had stayed out he would have left the beach with no wounds
William Zabka is absolutely brilliant in this series. And Johnny's "recollection" of events here that persuaded Miguel to believe Johnny was the actual victim is downright hilarious. 😂
Look how far Miguel has gone through. Learning about Johnny and Daniel’s story from the 80s, and literally telling them to get their shit together at the beach.
This just shows how people don’t share the full story to things, he literally leaves out all the parts where he was pretty much a bully or an asshole, and I’m sure he really did intend to just have a “civil conversation” but that’s not how it went down when he went to chat with her and he ofcourse left that out..and he also left out how he rode him off a hill and left out how John was no longer with the girl and that Daniel didn’t even know John existed that night on the beach..it’s things like this that should’ve been mentioned but he had a narrative to support so
Well, to defend Daniel, he did work things out with Johnny and Chozen, and ig Blake (or whatever furniture guy’s name is) as well, and Silver did fuck them up. The one constantly messing things up is Sam. Tori tried and tried again to make thing chill and civil, and Sam just out here blaming her for everything bad, and was just “Sorry Miguel, gotta hurt you for something I’m going through” woman, normal won’t exist for a while, and yeah.
Probably my favorite scene of both seasons. I just love the background song in this scene and you can feel the heartbreaking nostalgia of Johnny and how his life before Karate Kid began was the peak of his life. Cobra Kai has been a great show overall but I really hope in Season three they don't go way Hollywood and cheesy like I kind of feel in Season 2. Season 2 was nice but for me it felt like they are going way too dramatic and also going off Johnny's story path for my opinion. I still love it, but just thinking with the show coming back to Netflix and rewatching scenes, that the show's strength is in Johnny's story arc and path. I just hope they don't focus too much on that Miyagi Do and that love triangle shit. The show's action scenes were always a bit over-the-top, even in Season one, but I just hope they don't have to do a full-blown Hollywood fight scene like the last episode. But still a great show and hope they keep everything in place.
IS it a coincidence that both mr miyagi and johny were working as handymen, when they rescued a kid from getting bullied and then becoming their senseis later on ?
He didn't exactly defend himself as they were both at fault. Johnny by starting the fight by shoving danny down with the radio and then proceeded to taunt danny and danny perhaps was scared johnny was on his way to stomp him nevertheless, johnny still had the legal right to keep the beach fight going
How was johnny a hero? People keep saying johnny was actually a hero without fully explaining as usually they're fully equipped with nonsense Was it because of that creepy eye contact - in my opinion : myagi was to blame for that Also : if johhny was so great - remember : johnny abandoned his only offspring
Johnny in the later seasons sure, but I’m terms of his overall character and life, you shouldn’t really aspire to become that. His personality I can agree more men should try to have his attitude but what he’s done, no one should do the things he’s done
@@Suzanne-t3l damn bro you’re replying to a comment from 8 months ago? 😂 Well let’s see, he bullied a kid in high school, he beat up minors, I understand the minors that he beat up were jerks but it is still a crime, he beats up one of Daniel’s employees in public, he abandoned his kid (Robby) when he was birthed, and he reopened cobra Kai to teach a kid karate not because he actually wanted to teach karate, but because he couldn’t stand the thought of his high school rival (Daniel) being more successful than him, that is extremely petty of him. He also acted like a jerk when his high school rival, the guy he bullied, decides to do a nice gesture and fix his car FOR FREE. Do I have to go on or did that answer your question? Look, as I said, in the later seasons, he acknowledged his faults and became a better man, if you were to ask me if men should strive to be like Johnny Lawrence from the later seasons then sure, however, overall, you shouldn’t do some of these things that Johnny has done.
@@Suzanne-t3l oh I forgot one more thing, in season 1, he also lies to Miguel about him bullying Daniel and tries to twist the story to make it look like Daniel was the one being the jerk and bullying, he wasn’t. There’s probably other stuff he’s done/behaved that I can’t think of rn at the top of my head but hopefully that answers your question
Johnny was still a bully but this scene is my favorite from the whole series. Amazing background song and love the nostalgic reminiscing vibe to this scene. I don't think I've felt this way like Johnny, but I feel many can relate and everyone probably has that feeling of something that you felt made you happy in the past. This type of scene is why I really loved the show especially season one. Season two was solid too, but I hope in season three they go to more of the drama side of season one which made me really love this show. Hope Season three will be really great like the entire show in general.

There’s something about this scene I love so much. Johnny isn’t wrong in the way he explained it because you have to remember this was decades ago. I love that Cobra Kai incorporated the “Daniel was the true bad guy” fan theory 😂

"The perspective bit of this was AMAZING." Are you talking about how the scene was shot, or how we're presented with a different point of view?
diffenrent point of view, cause they make us love the old antagonist. In back to the future 2, biff recall his story about how he crash his car but biff still is the villain. Now they make it believable that daniel fucked up his world
In that case, this has nothing to do with a "purely cinematic point of view". This is about writing.

I have friends with doctorates in the science fields, with backgrounds in biology and chemistry who would be the first to tell anyone how Jesus Christ has changed their lives. But Jesus Christ is not about religion; He's about having a relationship with us. I would encourage you to take some time to study the Gospels and the New Testament and ask the Lord to show you if He's real. If you are willing to do it with sincerity and humility, He will make Himself real to you.
Not to mention he got free labor ddom danny and chalked it up to teaching him karate

What makes this show so great is focusing on the Johnny Lawrence character. Great job by all involved taking a character that was just a 'bad guy' in the first film, and adding a lot of depth to the character.
Except Kreese. It's obvious - Kreese is in his own forever war.

If people want realism they should just get on with their lives and not project it onto tv shows.
@@Drifter1989 I liked Silver getting reintroduced. He'd moved on and mostly did that stuff because cocaine's a helluva drug
This scene had me dying the whole time, I love Johnny. 😂😂😂
Me too XD.

I love the little fact that Ali was the one who gave Johnny the headband. It makes every scene where he's wearing it more powerful.

Johnny's mentality is what creates bullies. This what turns kids into attacking other kids to suicide. Funny stuff!

Johnny has improved so much from Season 1-4. I love seeing the bond he has with everyone around him. From Miguel to Daniel to Sam even to Robby at the end of Season 4. First Karate Kid story in 3 mins!
The scene is so good that it makes me want to go back to the original to rewatch it in this context.
He's a guy with a certain character which he doesn't see as "problematic" because he hasn't been taught otherwise. He's just relaying the story as he remembers it. He's not lying.
What do you mean by 16
Pure bull. Where do people invent this kind of mess from? "Remained a kid until 16...."

How Jonny makes it seem like he's the victim 😂😂😂😂😂👏👏
I wouldn't say it made him look like a victim, more like it made him look like an actual complex human being, with both good and bad inside of him, instead of a completely bad, one dimensional, spoiled brat, 80's bully, which is how the first movie made him look, because he was that movie's antagonist.
I firmly believe Johnny is the real Karate Kid

Goofball Productions Daniel tried to get involved in Johnny’s business so he could seem like a hero to Ali. If he had stayed out he would have left the beach with no wounds
William Zabka is absolutely brilliant in this series. And Johnny's "recollection" of events here that persuaded Miguel to believe Johnny was the actual victim is downright hilarious. 😂
Look how far Miguel has gone through. Learning about Johnny and Daniel’s story from the 80s, and literally telling them to get their shit together at the beach.
This just shows how people don’t share the full story to things, he literally leaves out all the parts where he was pretty much a bully or an asshole, and I’m sure he really did intend to just have a “civil conversation” but that’s not how it went down when he went to chat with her and he ofcourse left that out..and he also left out how he rode him off a hill and left out how John was no longer with the girl and that Daniel didn’t even know John existed that night on the beach..it’s things like this that should’ve been mentioned but he had a narrative to support so
Johnny also didn’t mention on how that night at the beach, he broke Ali’s radio. That was where the escalation really started.
Even after watching season 5 I am still convinced Daniel is the main antagonist
Well, to defend Daniel, he did work things out with Johnny and Chozen, and ig Blake (or whatever furniture guy’s name is) as well, and Silver did fuck them up. The one constantly messing things up is Sam.
