First off, there is absolutely no need to make UPSC a 5 years plan - it is DEVASTATING.
If you are eligible to write the exam in 2025 and can dedicate around 6-10 hours per day to your preparations, please do not postpone your plans. Please do not make UPSC a 5-year plan. There is no need for it. The more time your spend in the exam cycle, the harder it will get to get out of it.
Here’s your game plan should look like :
    1. Phase 1 : Take a Break and Recharge. 30th October (today) till 14th November : Please unwind for the next two weeks. Spend time with family, travel, and spoil yourself with gratifiations. Sounds counter-intuitive, but this is also needed.
Half Hearted Mechanical way to studies yields no results. Take a break, and binge-watch that movie or TV series you have been delaying. Consider this period to be your mini vacation before the marathon begins from 15th November onwards.
    2. Phase 2 : Structured Study Hours (15th November onwards).
Starting November 15th, commit to a schedule. All of this is self-paced learning - so you can pick your favorite slot of the day.
    a) For working professionals: Around 4-6 hours a day (ideally before your office : 5 AM to 9 AM)
    b) For students: 6-10 hours a day (Divide the day into 3 parts).
This commitment is vital; the next steps build on it, so stay consistent.
    3. Phase 3 : The Four Wheel Drive Approach (15th November - February).
Starting November 15th, engage in a focused, four-day learning cycle -
Each day will have a set theme, and the cycle repeats every four days, allowing you to build momentum and dive deeply into each area without the traditional weekly structure
Day 1 - History Drive: Watch 2 episodes focused on historical foundations.
Day 2 - Economy Drive: Watch 2 episodes exploring economic fundamentals.
Day 3 - Polity, Society, and Governance Drive: Watch 2 episodes covering governance and societal structures.
Day 4 - Geography Drive: Watch 2 episodes that map out the physical and human geography basics.
Repeat this four-day cycle continuously, completing a full "Four-Wheel Drive" loop every four days. Each cycle keeps your learning well-rounded and dynamic, ensuring you cover the essentials efficiently and consistently.
This will ensure that gaps between subjects do not exceed by more than 4 days. This will help you cover 4 crucial subjects that will form the core foundations for your Prelims - in the next 3 months
    4. Phase 4 : Environment, Science & Tech, and Revision (February - March).
With the core subjects well in hand, turn your focus to Environment and Science & Technology, along with thorough revision of everything covered so far. This month will bridge gaps and deepen your grasp.
    5. Phase 5 : Practice and Test-Taking Strategy (15th March onwards)
From 15th March, the focus shifts to Prelims testing. You should aim to solve at least 3,000 questions from a test series, plus 10 years of past UPSC papers, revising thoroughly. In the self-paced module Video - you will find dedicated videos on how to efficiently attempt these tests-no unnecessary grind.
By 25th May, you’ll be primed to crack the Prelims. After Prelims, don’t take a full week off-rest for two days, then dive back into the Ethics and Essay Module within 10 days.
    6. Phase 6 : UPSC Mains Prep, Answer Writing and Optional Subject
Following Prelims, we’ll hold live sessions on answer writing and building structured responses. These would be around 10-20 Live Sessions - around Security Issues, Disaster Management, and a few other aspects covered in Mains (For GS Mains).
During this phase - focus more on your Optional Subject, Essay, and these 10-20 Live Sessions that we will design.
If you’re taking PSIR as an optional, rely entirely on MisFits Episodes and the 8 Seasons. There are 8 seasons of episodes that you can revisit-just make sure you’ve watched them once before Prelims. Post-Prelims, we’ll strengthen your answer writing and critical analysis. In every season - we have covered all topics - with innumerable answer building sessions.
    7. Phase 7 : After Mains. Well, I will schedule a few one on ones - to analyze the next steps individually.
Enrollment Link for GS Foundational Module (Self-Paced + Hybrid): Starting on 15th November : www.misfits.bet/

I belong to an age which saw honest politicians with vision, with heart and who felt for tbe poor and marginalized and what i see today scares me. Not for myself as i have almost come to the end of the line, but for the young starry eyed citizens who despite having earned certificates after years and years of toil will be brushed aside by people who, because of their ancestry will take away their jobs, scarcely care if they lived died or even had enough to put food on their tables. God help india. Her people are wonderful but if they stay silent, years from now they will be silent watchers of theur own destruction. In this process many gov became bankrupt just look the debt amount state-wise. Who is the main criminal? We are. yes. We want free electricity not solar. We want a farmer loan weaver, not a rice-cutting machine. We don't vote for productivity. Someone asked for the net to catch fish and became self-employed. Mostly Gujaratis one caste are benefited. Banks went weak, so a huge sum of money was released from RBI to avoid banks getting closed, plus we have combined and changed many banks to avoid closure.
Collected minimum balance fine, to elevated service charges, elevated minimum balance.
And finally to fill the financial deficit, started collecting more tax from the people.

@venaist Do you know that Dubai doesn't have any oil anymore and hasn't had for the last 15 years or so?? It still remains a prime destination for every nationality on the planet. Tourism and trade. that's Dubai's main economy. India has far greater potential to tap those 2 sectors. I remain convinced that Indians are better off being ruled by a family of kings who know to manage like the Middle Eastern States... we are a bunch of unruly misfits who need to be disciplined and not given choices. It's gone far enough.

@veerar8203 Dude Abu Dhabi and Dubai economies are independent. UAE doesn't operate as one nation when it comes to their own financial system. They have one currency but each Emirate operates independently. Dubai is mostly a tourism and trade economy. I am speaking facts not making up theories. You think I'll talk about it if I haven't been there myself? My family has been there since the 90s. Don't bother mentioning Agricultural produce, it's mostly for the local market not exports. All of UAE's foreign investment comes from Abu Dhabi not Dubai.

Sorry it's a long comment but it's worth a read!
Aristotle's emphasis on the middle class as a stabilizing force in society remains profoundly relevant in contemporary India, particularly amidst widespread dissatisfaction with the finance minister and economic policies.
In India, the middle class has historically been the engine of economic growth, consumer spending, and innovation. It aspires for upward mobility and demands accountability from policymakers. However, in recent years, rising income inequality, inflation, and perceptions of elitist policies have alienated this demographic. A diminished or disillusioned middle class risks destabilizing democratic institutions, fueling populist movements, and exacerbating social divides. For India's progress, it is crucial to realign fiscal and economic policies to address middle-class concerns, ensuring inclusive growth that revitalizes Aristotle’s vision of a balanced and harmonious society.

You talked about agitations and toppling government is Bangladesh but very cleverly suppressed the starting reason of this ''movement''. And the reason was introduction of Quota in Jobs, depriving the merit. In India, most of the middle class private job holders are being deprived from govt. jobs and higher education due to SC, ST, OBC, EW, Sports Quotas. Did you see any agitation/protest? So, not only high taxes but raise your voice against reservation (quota) which deprives most of the middle class merits. Many meritorious middle class students are compelled to leave India because of this injustice....

The problem with this video is that it doesn’t really talk about any solutions. How are we supposed to fix all of this? Governance by the middle class. Full stop. But how do you get a government run by the middle class? That is the problem with this channel. It seems more like scathing commentary on the issues, like any other contemporary media outlet, without any discussions on how to improve.

@@sumitalwarI think anyone who take place of FM will be criticised heavily 😅.. Many people criticize taxes and all that but doesn't provide a constructive criticism with proper solution which takes care of major concern of govt. which actually drives them to put tax on Middle class.
For e.g:- we have to give incentives to corporates so that they can come here, establish well and expand well, keep generating jobs which mostly Middle class enjoys.
Every developed or highly developing countries has done exactly that including China, problem is we doing late and thanks to internet these things along with heavy criticism spread fast causing panic & dissatisfaction.
But there is no alternative, this will happen irrespective of FM & govt because the country is in that stage of development.

Arguing about the complexity of tax policy is important. I'm not saying the BJP government is perfect, but reducing the tax burden on the middle class is a challenging issue. If taxes are lowered, who will make up the difference? If we target millionaires and billionaires too aggressively, they might choose to leave India, which would be a significant loss. While they do find ways to minimize their tax bills, it's essential to recognize that they also create many jobs and contribute significantly to the economy.
Simply reducing the tax burden on the middle class or cutting GST won't address the economic challenges of a large country like India. It’s overly simplistic to assume that lowering taxes alone will improve the economy.
I don't see any point on this discussion.
When it comes to the facilities we receive from the government, it's important to acknowledge that the quality of service often falls short. This is not a new issue; it's rooted in a corrupt political system. No party can win elections without substantial funding, which complicates the situation.
If the BJP were to avoid engaging in controversial political tactics, it would be challenging for them to maintain their position. What we often see is just a high-level overview, but the reality at the ground level is much more complex.
