Mine was made in Korea. I purposely bought one of these rather than a cheaper PRS SE because my experience in stores was that the quality of the Indonesian models was not as good as the Korean. It seems they're all from Indonesia now. But it does appear to be identical to those made in Korea

Thank you and my point exactly! I did not need another PRS import or US, but the way this guitar looked, I had to do it... (And I found it at a GREAT price to boot) Thanks for watching and have a great day!

I have the earlier model of this guitar (without the stain) - I much prefer the natural finish. Mine has a floyd and I swapped out the cheap Korean pots / jack / wiring for USA, dropped in some Suhr Aldrich pickups and got it PLEK'd. Now it's a fcuken weapon.... and it never goes out of tune no matter how hard I wail on its 10-46's. Blows my mates McCarty (that cost x3 more) into the weeds!

@@bmark7951 PLEK was free with purchase, bought the pups 2nd hand and mods were only a few hundred AU$ extra by a friend who's a tech. Came in half the price of a core.

All SE comes with 9-42 gauge strings btw.

I bought this guitar from a guy on internet and i'm very anxious to put my hands on it. Tell me one thing about those nut files..? If I put 9-42 strings instead 10-46 should work fine without "sculpting" the nut files? I'm searching for a good mid-term between fender's tele/stratocasters and gibson's sgs/les paul (the sg has too much neckdive and les paul is too heavy and fragile, but the real big problem is the intonation of those gibson style guitar - they simply don't get in tune properly to my ears (G, D strings specially). So i avoid those guitars. Fender design gets in tune beautifully, and prs i don't know)

Do you think this guitar (including its pickups) will allow me to play Linkin Park ?
    Brad Delson plays with Custom 24 but I don't think it's 85/15 "S" pickups...

Kinda weird. I have the same guitar, but mine was built at the World Factory in Korea.

Also, how does the pattern thin neck on this compare to your Mayones Regius? Some people have said they're supposed to feel very similar but I'm still curious because I have a custom Regius coming in November but I've never played one before. I love the production quality of this btw :) it's a total crime you don't get more views and subscribers.

Hey Unchained. I never thought about comparing the profiles off the 2 you mentioned until reading the question. I just grabbed 'em and remarkably they are indeed pretty similar in feel. Perhaps 1/100000000 of an inch less of shoulders off Regius neck compared to that of the PRS shown here. And thank you so much for kind words. Normally I am not one to really care for metrics of my TH-cam stuff but I did do a ton of work for this video so it would have been nice getting some more views... Oh well so it goes LOL... Thanks for your time watching. Congrats on the Regius!!! A phenomenal axe!

The only problem people ever have with PRS SE guitars is that the nuts they use are complete garbage. Why can't they just spend a couple extra dollars and use a graphtech TUSQ nut. I mean Paul Reed Smith is always going on and on about how good their proprietary nuts are on their US made guitars so he knows how important the nut is. Yet he puts garbage nuts on the SE models.

Unchainedmaple888 My main complaint with PRS ( regardless of price point ) is why the guitars don't resonate/sustain well. It makes no sense since all he's doing is using the "Les Paul Formula" of Set-Neck, mahog/maple body with a maple or mahogany neck. When you strum the guitar unamplified, it sounds like mud.

    Nice review...you didn't receive a tremolo?

Hi Jeff, one did indeed come with the guitar. If you are asking because you don't see it on my guitar, I just have it taken out since this little piece I played didn't require one. Rock on~~~ thanks for your time watching!
