- $2000 wood slab and epoxy resin coffee table. I made this midcentury modern style epoxy coffee table from cypress live edge wood slab cookies and Total Boat epoxy. This is a different kind of coffee table with a twist. This DIY coffee table is one of the most unique pieces I’ve ever built. I used cypress cookies slabs and deep pour epoxy to create an interesting river table or lake table pattern on the top of the coffee table. The base has a very mid century modern vibe inspired by a piece Shaun Boyd made on the Foureyes YT channel.

This is EXACTLY the same as what my dining room table is going to be, same oval shape and cookies with white epoxy, different base of course. Looks amazing! Can’t wait to get started on mine.

The table design and work is good but if that white epoxy was black. Then it would make more sense, especially with that gold color.

I wasn’t sure about the white resin at first but it suits the room it’s in and the furniture around it really well. Nice work! 😀

Reminds me of the coin tables my grandpa made 40ish years ago. Resin has gone yellow over the years, but it’s still smooth as silk. Great video!

Love the look of the table, please do keep us updated on yellowing. White epoxy is a pain in that regard.
Also, I use a water based MDF sealer before I paint. You have to sand the edges where the fibres swell but the end result is a much more moisture resistant product. You can also buy moisture resistant MDF, but it’s quite a bit more expensive.

Wow! The biggest revelation for me here was that you can use CA glue to hold a piece that has PVA applied to give it time to dry. That's a game changer! Cheers from Oz.
