- Not one, not two but three Ferrari 333 SP screaming around Mugello Circuit during the 2017 Finali Mondiali Ferrari. 4.0-litre V12 engine with 640hp at 11,000 rpm and 440 Nm of torque at 9000 rpm. Flames, downshifts, raw sounds and accelerations. I'm dreaming to see one of these on a hillclimb race...

In 1996, I walked up to the pits for the Momo 333 car at Sonoma Raceway (then Sears Point). I was then a curious mechanical engineering student nosing my way to ask for an engineer who wouldn't mind entertaining my questions on a Friday after practice. I got complete access with the team's chief. He was incredibly gracious with his time for a nosy kid with a love of fast machines but no real knowledge except for the go kart that I could afford to race. I remembered looking down at his hands at one point and noticing a massive ring. Even from conversational distance, I could clearly read "Indycar World Champion". I don't remember his name but I'll always remember the impression and the special chance for an up-close look at one stunning machine. So yeah, this car has a special place in my heart.
It was a cool weekend to be sure! I was with Plus1 Motorsport and in the pits at the team tent all weekend. The Italians were very gracious hosts.

They sound so much sweeter than any F1 car nowadays.

07:22-07:25 were crap, second lot were ok
The down shifts are the hounds of hell howling. Absolute racing sounds that have no equal.
The gear changes are just so brutal and amazing sounding on this car.

There is the new T.50. Prototype version for years, but now run at goodwood. Sounds about the same

I was there for the first time when the SP33 won that year with Gianpiero Moretti at the helm and still have the racing extra newspaper for monday 2nd . Never forgot that car sound just like today , what a car it was 😁music to the ears .

I'm lucky enough to have heard one of these in person at a small road course in Southwest Michigan. The sound of the 333 approaching at full throttle is a mechanical symphony. As it passes, the howling exhaust note assaults your senses. It's absolutely glorious!

Thanks a lot for the kind comment dude. 1-2, 100 dislikes... I don't care that much. I know the kind of videos I do and what is the standard you guys are used to. Envious, haters, trolls are everywhere. There's also to be said that each one interprets the "like/dislike" button in his own way: someone look just at the quality of the video, others just consider whether they love the car featured or not, if it sounds good or not...
But it's been since I started my adventure here on TH-cam that I always said I take more into account what it's written in the comment section than likes and dislikes. That's the most important thing for me ;)

Pure eargasm! I still remember "Mad Max" Papis trying to make up a lap at the Daytona 24hrs in a 333 SP. He was KILLIN' IT! I think he set a lap record during the last hour of the race. I also remember Team Momo finally winning the race in a sleeker (TOP SPEED) version of the car couple of years later. I think they lengthed the front nose.

I was fortunate to see these race when they were new. There is definitely a special place in my heart for that dentist-drill scream and fiery overrun.
