- A compilation of Quickenings of various side characters that were on the Highlander series.
Not in order of appearance on the series because of a meager attempt to create a sense of continuïty by linking the transition of scenes to others with a similar environment.

@@Vasun05 only duncan never gave up. many times throughout the series he either lost his sword or was wounded but he always came out on top. his bout against nicholas ward the "vampire" is an example.
the other immortals would usually just give up even when they still had a fighting chance

I didn't discover the series until I caught the 4th episode of the 2nd season. That inspired me to grow my hair long.
In that episode she tried to fool Duncan into thinking she was a new Immortal in order to kill him, but he found out that she had been around for centuries.
Joan Jett really got a cherry bomb when she underwent the quickening.

The quickenings Kenny gets are illustrative of what he is, an old soul trapped in the body of a child. When he cries out when receiving power, his voice is deep like an adult's.

Aside from Joan Jett, I forgot that Roland Gift of Fine Young Cannibals played an evil immortal. Aside from being the Turtles' nemesis in the cartoons. lol
Immortals chopping off other immortals heads without a fight is cheating and the reason why Immortals can sense the presence of other immortals via the quickening is to stop them from cheating.
Irena didn't deserve to die. I see why Jacob became the way he was.
Fighting and beheading a immortal without a fight is against the rules of "The Game".

@@danielwilliamson6180 Yeah, "the game" concept kind of got thrown out the window in the TV series because there were numerous immortals that would cheat by using guns, team up with other immortals against a single immortal, and work with mortals to hunt down immortals like Xavier St. Cloud did with Horton.

the show could have made entire series just off other immortals and their fight.....did not have to be about the highlander.....

Unless they have the Methuselah Stone in its complete form. Then the mortal would become an immortal. If an immortal possesses it, they become invincible.

Same thing happened to a friend of Duncan during the French Revolution. A lot of Immortals that lost their heads had their Quickenings lost

Horton was an absolute imbecile. Given the VERY strict parameters of "The Game," how could immortals be a "mistake?" More than anything, they were evidence of a higher power, and some higher purpose . . .

I don’t think they ever showed a black man get a quickening even when he got it thru a fair fight. All those mentioned above Xavier, black baseball player and the African had their Quickenings edited out of the episodes I watched on TV.
@@bermudabeachbum3582 Don't know where you watched those episodes but when I watched "Manhunt" over here in the UK, Carl Robinson (the baseball guy) was indeed shown receiving Corman's Quickening after beating him.
@@Wright805 I watched them in the US and I distinctly remember they didn’t show his Quickening. They other two I excused in my mind because they didn’t get theirs fairly . (Xavier had his opponent shot while the African made his opponent surrender)
@@Wright805 Ok I just watched it on TH-cam and you only see a very edited Quickening. A few flashing of “lightning” and you only see Carl after it’s almost over. You don’t even see him take the head.
Lord byron was a very interesting villain on highlander I really enjoyed the ending in the immortal chimoli 🤣😂🤔
I never considered him a villain, and was hoping Methos would talk Duncan out of it. I mean, he's ok with sparing a man who admitted to killing tens of thousands of people, but a guy who parties too hard and shares his drugs with idiots who should know better but want to look and act cool is just too much to ask.
@@laikkelynneross2800 If you're referring to Kage in the episode "Blind Faith" Duncan spared him because he realized he had changed and was truly remorseful. Byron had no remorse and no intention of changing.
I agree though that Duncan taking his head was highly questionable (and that's being generous). As Methos rightly pointed out, Byron didn't force Mike to do anything.

Kalas was intentionally left out and has his own video beacuse he killed many.

These look dreadful! So cheap!
They were working from a 90's network TV budget. It's not exactly Game Of Thrones or the average HBO show where every single episode has millions of dollars poured into it. I think the show has a lot of charm and despite the cheap effects and cheesy moments it's still better than most of the later movies in the Highlander franchise.
@@silversnail1413 All true but I've worked on many shows that had tiny budgets, it's how you light and shoot that counts and these don't need big budgets.
