Can you imagine going in for a simple surgery. The last person you saw before going under was Methos who portrayed Death as one of the Horsemen. He was always my favorite secondary character.
The show went completely downhill by season 6 which was total rubbish and almost embarrassing to watch. I like the characters and this segment is great.
I have to know why didn't Adrian Paul do this reunion film. Please don't tell me not enough money in the budget. This film was fan service from the cast of the series. Thank you for those of you who made this film. Loved you guys on the TV series.
Apparently, from what the folks here on the radio said, Adrian Paul is not willing to do anything with the franchise unless he’s paid a LOT of money. His agent was saying if they want him back, they need to pay him more than anyone else in the cast and even when they tried to negotiate with him, he won’t budge.
@@Trekapedia wow, surprised he's taking that approach. They can easily go from another perspective and choose another immortal to follow. Wonder if mythos or the cat burglar Amanda are still around.
@@knightrcer I believe they are both still around and people have said adrian being the way he is is really why they are rebooting instead of bringing him back. They wanted to do three movies starting with The Source but with people not liking it AND Adrian being demanding, they said were done with this. Really sad because I love Highlander: The Series and Endgame.
@@Trekapedia I loved it too but they kind of went wacky with the rules of the game. We have never seen 2 immortals in 1 body fight a villain before. Then again there's highlander 2 where the great Sean Connery once said if you put your entire life force into something, you can accomplish something amazing, queue the bagpipes.
I just saw this and I love the attention to detail, the interpersonal relationships, and the implications of being immortal... I could take this franchise to another level
Season 6 wasn't anything more than a testing platform. We got hoodwinked. They proved they didn't need a new face to fk up the spinoff "The Raven". Just hire bad writers and a plank to play "Nick Wolf", add Amanda with Agatha Kristie as her sidekick and ta-da. Crap...
Ha ha -- back then they would try to push as many years as they could so they could do syndication. I think they had to have at least five years in order to get the show syndicated. And you could tell they were phoning that baby in !

It's good, very good and I enjoyed it. But. Seeing then using the "wrong swords" and then seeing a 5,000 year old suddenly change his mind about his marriage because of ONE fight with another Immortal.
In the series it was stated that Methos didn't know his own exact age, after all he was born in the bronze age before recorded history. Now all of a sudden he's precisely 5,164?
In his first meet with Duncan, Methos stated he clearly recalls his years since his first Quickening. So, I think he probably counts his age from that.
Methos is being stupid. Love like that doesn't come along often and what's the point in immortality if you can't enjoy all the good stuff. Like Joe said, it's her choice.
They could have at least wrote a better plot. Does Joe drive or take a cab to visit Methos for any other reason than just to see an old friend? Is he still a watcher? Amanda acting like a house wife all of a sudden. Adrian should have been casted as well.
I've Loved some of the Highlander movies and some of the Highlander TV shows but Highlander Reunion I Don't know yes you had Joe and mythos but it wasn't the same it's more of a Feeling a few things were left out if you going to make a reunion TV movie for where the Highlander TV series left off make sure you put passion in the Episode movie TV movie the same type of Energy that was in the TV show
I never really liked the Source. I couldn't accept it as canon and just accepted it as just a closer for the series but I think the last movie could have been so much better if it wasn't so post apocalyptic. It reminded me too much of the Renegade version but I watched it as a loyal fan of the series and still a loyal fan. This beats the source by 1000 times.
Can't remember, did Duncan and Amanda separate in the series? She isn't my favorite but loved that they ended up together. It would be a shame if this little reunion overwrote it.
Duncan and Amanda were always off again - on again. Sort of, “we’ll hook up when we catch up.” If I had to assign them a relationship status: “it’s complicated.” They’re not quite friends with benefits; there’s definitely something there, but they’re not quite willing to commit to it.

I just recently got into a Highlander craving after not watching for a decade or more. Just finished watching all 5 movies and I'm in the middle of the series right now.

Characters that are hundreds and even thousands of years old and we followed them learning to care about each other and stick together, and suddenly they are acting like whinny teenagers from some slasher film. And I don't think in the whole series Amanda ever slapped a guy that wasn't a physical threat.

I also hated that at the end of the series they had Duncan and Amanda together but 10 years later she is with someone named Sarah. Then in the movies he married two women. When it said on the show he will never get married. Then he has a kid? They completely forgot the movies before the show and the show itself. After Episode 13 I would disregard anything else.

This is actually Dr. Methos now. Peter actually got his medical degree as an anesthesiologist in real life about three years ago.

This makes me wish that they didn't stop making this show in the 90's... for the most part, they have all aged pretty well.
And with CG effects. they can de-age anyone. making them truly immortal!

Fantastic acting performances in this short.
These extra moments were shot after the tv series wrapped up and before the finale. The “ Source “ was both stupid and just a cash grab.

A mini series detailing the lives of Duncan and the gang in 2022 would be nice, with CGI tech as it is today they could de-age the actors.
