    Slava, you and your lovely lady are truly citizens of the world. As a fellow traveller, I always try to stress to people that haven’t had the privilege to travel-that we all have more in common than we do opposite. You are both wonderful and kind people and explorers. Maybe someday I can host you in Canada.

    We are part of one of those 1960's simple houses on a bay in Alabama. It has thankfully survived many hurricanes except for the boat dock. Earlier this year the family got together with hammers, nails, and a pump to sink pilings and rebuilt the boat dock one more time. Maybe it will last a little while.

I had oppt to live in Florida when I was a kid, I stayed at Monte Verde academy and ofcourse couple times we traveled tourist visa....so I can recall what it's like, just cozy cookie and duce. Clinique happy tbones ... Beaches in this video reminded me of cape Cod in Massachusetts..... was also a fascinated getaway via a nice family by culture in exchange. Try that and ask a German or Russian friend to move to a place for a while...!? Your kids can mesmorise thus coping skills lessons learned...etc

      Sounds like a great idea. It is one of the only ways that I really like vanilla ice cream, and the oatmeal is a good source of fiber. Otherwise, I am all about flavors. 😊 Sometimes, I just dribble half and half on it. Eaten with a good cup of strong coffee, it is great and the apples and oatmeal inside allow me to convince myself that I am eating something healthy!🤣

    Our house is the green one with all the columns and decks just beside the one in the water near end of this video. We love Cape San Blas and March to End of April is such a beautiful less hot time of year. One correction is that some cape beach front houses cost over 2.5 million dollars.

    Nice part of Florida, and a great host family. I've often wondered what insurance costs for such coastal residences, and is "Hurricane Insurance" available?

    • @pastormarkbrand
      @pastormarkbrand 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Insurance costs can be very expensive. The main thing affecting rates is which flood zone the house sits in. The Army Corps od Engineers issues flood zone maps every few decades with many different zones, each reflecting a certain level of risk. That dramatically affects rates. Thankfully, our house is in a part of our lot that is in the “x” zone, which means we are basically nearly zero flood risk. Salt water backed up from the Bay and soaked the roots of most our pine trees during the hurricane, though, and killed them, exactly where the flood zone maps said it would. Here is a link to what those kind of flood risk maps look like: hazards-fema.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=8b0adb51996444d4879338b5529aa9cd

      @@pastormarkbrand I loved how you sang together! lol. My Dad grew up during Khrushchev thaw and loved American jazz, Steinbeck and Wonnegut ! It was the time when all young Russian intellectuals fell for Hemingway.
      Benny Goodman visited USSR in the 60s and Dad surely went to the concert.

      Well that's kind of understood. There's no better system in the world than capitalism. I was talking about the us being better than other capitalistic countries. Socialism doesn't work that's for sure
