HAPPY SUNDAY!☺I hope this thrifting trip gives you some ideas on what you should look for next time your thrifting for your home! What was the best find you've ever thrifted??
I bought plates (from Goodwill) with floral patterns that I used for a baby shower. Afterwards, I donated the dishes back to the thrift store. It was much cheaper than renting.
I have been thrift shopping lately at St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic Mission driven thrift store. The money stays within the organization to help the low income, and the homeless. Although I’m not Catholic, I do really like that the money spent stays within the organization, which Goodwill once had but is now lost. Do you ever shop at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore? They also have some great items that stays within their organization. I bought a wooden buffet about 5 feet long and painted it Navy Blue. It was $60 and it took 2 people to bring it inside my house!!! I love it!!! 💕💕💕
I enjoy buying clothes second hand. But recently, I made over a dresser into a buffet table for my dining room with new hardware, runner, and accessories.
I always look for small original art (it amazes me what people donate), glassware and servingware. I'm a minimalist, so it's one in one out, so I'm selective, but I enjoy browsing. That measuring cup is a score because the measurements are embossed so they won't wear off!
With kids leaving the nest and having a large family, thrift stores are a first stop for silverware, furniture, baskets, dishes, and linens. Shower curtains and shower curtsin hooks are great deals. Bsby items and kids clothing helps stretch the dollar. Great video with lots of helpful ideas!
I bought big heavy lamps for $12.99 each, painted them inkwell and updated the shades and they’re GORGEOUS. I just bought a large leather wrapped storage box and a large wooden tray for $2.99 each yesterday. I’ve also purchased a set of large onyx Restoration Hardware candle holders for $20. Goodwill never disappoints.
I loved this.I got two perfect dinningroom clothed tucked back chairs for $7.00 a piece in great shape at goodwill. Went back to day to get a beautiful cream bench for $7.99 for the foot of my bed and also got a beautiful fax kata lily for my patio for $14.99. I love find home decore.
Yes to thrifting. I am working in a small Montana town thrift store that everyone loves. Especially the prices. A grocery bag of books for $1. That makes redecorating a breeze. 😘
I'm so glad that you incorporate thrifting into your decor and content. Thanks for that! I also feel the need to comment about books. So many people get bent out of shape about folks using books for decor because they "love to read." I don't see why the two are perceived as mutually exclusive. Also, the secondhand stores are teeming with books, so why not save them from the landfill and use them however you want?
I love when people integrate those random items that everyone else overlooks for being ugly or old, but make it work perfectly in their space. Old floral crockery sets and glass tumblers are in every store and totally underrated!
I’ve been loving how real your content has been lately, always feels like I’m facetiming my friend & catching up ❤️ Your attention to detail and ability to make everything feel like magic is such a blessing to those around you 🦋Thank you for shining your light in the world 🤍
Yes! Copper, clothing (especially for costumes) & baskets! I can't believe how expensive some baskets are! Check your thrift store first! Have a wonderful week Kristen!🎉
I love to thrift beautiful glassware or pottery. II’ve been watching so many thrifting/picker TH-cam videos. It’s so addicting to see what treasures they pick up.
Hi Kristen, yes my favorite thing is furniture and or vases.I usually go to garage sales, thrift, stores or on Facebook market.❤ Thank you and love your videos 😊
noticed the glass measuring pitcher. My experience: stick with Pyrex. That brand (Pampered Chef?) does not pour well and easily makes a mess. The Pyrex pieces can't be beat. I have an 8 cup, 4 cup, 2 cup, and single cup, and use them all the time, for measuring/pouring liquids.
Would a tour of your home be something you could share? You are so talented, and have wonderful, useful ideas. I love watching your videos. Thanks for the thrifting tour.
Fabulous video! Loved all of your tips! I love to thrift as well! I love vintage thrift shops, antique shops, and a good garage sale! My favorite thing to thrift is all things home decor and baskets! I also love thrifting kitchen items too!
Another great video, as usual, Kristen. Thank you!! Love thrift stores and consignment shops. I look for everything...clothes, home decor, etc., but I especially still love/look for the old (15+ years) of pictures in their original decorative frames from Kirkland's and the like. I am lightening up my wall paint to make these pieces look fresh.
My family enjoys going to antique auctions to get our unique furniture and decor. We especially like English antiques. Some auctions you can get great bargains and other times pieces are going "high". It is always exciting to see which items are your favorites! Sometimes you get lucky and are the winning bidder and get to take your find home.
Love thrifting! I gravitate towards glassware, floral patterned plates and teacups! But I don't have room for any more besides what treasures I have already found and have inherited from family!! I also love antique shops... Oh the wonderful Waterford, Belleek, etc. I see at an antique shop in La Mesa- San Diego County make my heart sing!! 🎶❤️ 16:49
I love thrifting i found brand new structured linen laundry basket, a ceramic piggy bank and a new rotating spice rack with tag still on it from macys retailing at 80 bucks i got it for 10. And NEW scented candles Plus a few storage bins for the bathroom 😊
I have been obsessed with thrift stores. I even found good books, novels and clothes, I couldn't believe how much I saved. I love all the peices you picked.
LOVE your thrifting videos! I like to look for home decor especially lamps, bookends, brass, blue and white, trays and baskets. And always books since I am quite the reader.
❤thrifting with you. You gave great tips on thrifting. Antique shops are some what more costly. Most of my home decor is thrifted. Lamps, art, mirrors, brass, copper, silver,. I am on the hunt for green home decor now. My style is eclectic, love mixing. I’m not a minimalist. I always enjoy watching you when you thrift. You have a great Salvation Army thrift shop.
Folded down sides of a drawer are a must have in Europe, southern Europe at least. I love your videos I want to give you the European side of it. They are like french windows in cupboards! Woden cutting boards are not allowed in Europe, unfortunately! And we praise good books, not for decor, we have hundreds of books at home, some for generations. It's a problem to buy ikea or the kind open shelves, they are not the ideal for us. Thank you for the good decor ideas you gave me!
I love your style and your taste that tray I'm sure you're going to leave it that color it's gorgeous and it's perfect like you said for spring setting
The goodwill stores in my area used to be good, and you could find all kinds of nice stuff. Now the mostly sell clothes and junk. I haven't visited one since before covid
In my area in Massachusetts we have goodwill and savers also salvation army stores i love paints baskests trunks purses and other stuffs in a good price.
One of the difficulties I've had with Goodwill is the adhesive used in the price tags. They're often very hard to remove without damaging a piece (especially items such as books which can tear).
Just found your channel and i love it! I recently moved and I just went shopping and spent $55 on some house decor and i always look for khaki pants on half off for work.
Happy Sunday, Kristen. This is a fabulous video. I look forward to seeing how you style the pieces that you purchased. 😀 I don't have particular pieces that l thrift. I like to see the variety on offer. Facebook marketplace makes it easy for people, too. My latest purchased piece is a traditional cane fishing basket. 😀
yes, my favorite is, and I purchased crystal lamps one was like the one's at the thrift store you just showed us and the other is a crystal lamp that uses a night light. I still own my record player and of course my records. Kristen these vintage items are hard to find, you may open your own online shopping store.
I love the floral plates I would buy them 🥰🥰 We just have clothes thrift shop in Ireland as far as I know, I never see furniture or nice things in the charity shop here, this is a reason I love when you do for us 😍😍 Thank you
Just found your channel & love thrift stores, although in my area is rather limited. My favorite items are unique, older glassware, any kitchen items. Found some Rosenthal crystal pieces, Papyrus green & white wine glasses. Just love them!! Really loved your lakehouse patio make over. Shared it with all my friends!

Thus i just can not. Not relevant. Were useful decoration items in frame and pieces. InteriorT never let me down. Have expected week☆~★
In this informative video there was a beautiful wooden head board with a foot board. Can someone use just the headboard when setting up at home? or are both required for the to position properly? I'm asking because im not a fan of foot boards.
HAPPY SUNDAY!☺I hope this thrifting trip gives you some ideas on what you should look for next time your thrifting for your home! What was the best find you've ever thrifted??
Happy Sunday ❤
Why don’t you show us how you style everything in your home? It would be helpful!
The best find I ever trusted was a new LV womens billfold waller for $2.99. Guess I was at the right place at the right time.
What Goodwill? We still have them?
I recently found a genuine, purple Sasaki tea pot for $8 at Goodwill.
