Dad got me into trumpets and i’ll never stop listening. real music.
True!
I think it's my least favourite instrument. I prefer the saxophone so much more, or any other instrument. Trumpets sound shrill, harsh, they peak in the frequencies where the ear is the most sensitive and they don't seem to have any body at all, it's just shrillness. I never understood Miles Davis, it makes my ears bleed. I like John Coltrane a lot though
@@ctr289le saxophone est trop flatteur
My brother just gave me a trumpet randomly, this is the first song I clicked on that had trumpet solo in it, now it’s time to learn.
you got it yet?
😂 I wish you all the best
Technique is one thing, musicality another. But when they meld at the virtuoso level, as they do here, one wants to shout with joy. Fabulous!
C'est sûr
Indeed
It sounds like the mosquito bothering me at night, but with a catchy tune instead
lol, your funny i even spit my beer out when i read this it was so funny, lol mosquito
This mosquito of yours got swag
Just your ignorant way a casting aspersions on greatness. Hating at it’s finest.😉
Amazing soloing!! Idk so much about jazz, I just started playing in 7th grade, I'm now in 9th grade. For two years my music teacher taught us jazz and how to solo, or improvise. At first it was hard but sooner or later we got the chords down and then we learned the changes. It's been awesome and I was 1 of the top 3 soloist at my old school. I'm an incoming freshmen in my new school and the music teacher was impressed by our(myself and other kids from the same band) skills. He heard us play some jazz and decided to bring pep rally back and is thinking about having a jazz class, like at our old school. I wish I could thank my old music teacher but he retired and I don't have his contact info. But thanks to him I am who I am now.
My parents saw Dule Ellington on their 1st date ....out east😎😘⭐💭❗
You must have cool parents then
@@dignity3570 one of them ❣️😄😚😜🎶🎵🎤🎙️📻📻📻🎶Nah re:music they both dope tho 😂😉happy holidays 🎄🎄🎄👌🎄🎵🎵🎶🎧🎄🎄🎄
This the best piece of music in world
This is something you are born with... people can practice all they want but they will never be this good this cannot be taught this comes from the soul
Actually you do not have to be born with talent even if you suck at it so bad with no natural talent you can become as good as him
WONDERFUL!!! Thanks so much for posting these legends
Je découvre sacré talent, sacré travail
Excellent merci
thank god for big mouth and their episode about him
lmao glad im not the only one thinking that
BEAUTIFUL......
Excellent n'est-ce pas !!!! ????

Kind regards ...........Michel. ♥
This badassmutha suffered through that timing and set not just to earn a check. He spiritually invested.

You can never love jazz too much, it’s not possible.

You don't appreciate how hard it is to play a horn with that kind of mute until you try it.
Omg !
If anyone can send a link to the sheet music for this I will bee soo happy!
But amazing playing
wow
what song is he playing at 0:35?
💛
words in voice sounds like part of music
Ohh, yeahhh
Pretty dope
WOW.... watch his key work...
What? no G two octaves out of the staff?
Marvellous. But now, one of the leading talents on clarinet is Martin Schmidt-Hahn. Let s hope, that he will do it this way
cat anderson est pour moi le plus grand trompettiste de jazz avec un suraigu exceptionnel et surtout un don pour l'improvisation.D'ailleurs l'orchestre du duke n'a plus d'équivalent actuel
GODDAMN
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Anyone knows the name of this music and on witch album we can find it? Or is it improv?
Symon Says TV It is improvisation of course.
WITCH ALBUM?
Wondering how good he would sound without the mute
Search for el gato cat anderson
Wish I was that food

Great! In my opinion music is one of the best things to get in to it opens up so many opportunities and its one of the funnest things to do even if its just a hobby or a profession.

no, you fool.
that is dooting sensuatiously.
I love old jazz
We all Doooooo
I wonder how many hours of practice it takes for someone to be this good with the trumpet.
The soul and a creative mind is responsible to a great extent for a musician to play like these guys do.
Classical players put in hours and hours of study and practice, and almost all of them sound dead when they play.
They are just well oiled machines.
Bob Downes (jazz flutist)
It takes well over 10,000 hours of practice to perfect the trumpet. that means if you practice everday for 6 hours in over 1,600 days straight.
+ClashKingGod Coc (does the math) OR playing trumpet in marching band for 5 years, 8th-Senior... Hey! That's what I'm doing! Does that mean I'll perfect the trumpet???? 😱
Bob Downes "almost all of them sound dead when they play", "well oiled machines"...couldn't disagree more. Music is everywhere when you are technically prepared to say what you want to, it doesn't depend on what style you are playing. A jazz player could sound dead as well as a classical.
a lot of it's natural, honestly.

+Richard Smith ......... Merci cher Richard !
......... Thank you very much dear Richard , it's very kind of you.
Michel.
0:57 is one of the most classy, bluesy and darn right nasty licks you'll ever hear. his facial expression and eyebrows on the inflections is damn right seducing
I was just at the part I agree 🥴💕

Back in the days... When musicians actually were musicians...
So true.
Truth in its purest state
Yeah, unlike nowadays where 'musicians' are actually goat farmers
Jack Coleman How dare you insult goat farmers ;)
There's always one special snowflake. I fucking swear. Every single time.
It is a harmon mute if you didn't know!
Which model?
Toujours fidèle à sa trompette CONN CONNSTELLATION ...
i’m in 6th grade and i take the trumpet this is so cool seeing someone play this good when i just started playing
OHHH MYYYY FUCKKKIIING GOD THIS IS SO NICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAA
Cat sounds fantastic. He really makes his instrument sing. Also, his trombone must have been very shiny too (polished to perfection) . In the black and white footage, underneath the studio lights, glare was created from said brass.
arxsyn trombone???
