finally someone who knows what they are talking about, to many people over train and think more is better, it seems that’s the world we live in, but sometimes less is more.
At the age of 10 I was the fastest in my county for my age group, but got growing pains and stopped exercising for 5 years. I'm very slow now relatively to what I used to be and in my mid 20s- any chance that I have lost that natural speed I once had at age 10? or does speed remain "genetically"?
If you haven’t sprinted since you were 10 more than likely your top speed potential is much less then what it would have been. Think of it like this, do you think Usain Bolt would be as fast as he is today if he did not train?
@@ArmasStrength returned to sprinting from ages 15-17 but just didn't show much improvement... maybe the growth changes and puberty just screwed my speed and mechanics
Always rest more than needed when in doubt. No such thing as too much rest. But to little rest and you don’t get the same effects. I would say depending on the drill 1-3min
Yo, thanks so much for the videos. I have a question regarding off-season training. I’m currently doing track and field as of now and 1 hour technical skills based sessions each day with a little more on the weekends. If I’m doing running and workouts in track, does that fit my fitness requirements to improve? I wanted to try one of your programs, but I don’t know if I could use them now, and if I should even be doing them. And lastly, is there an ideal event in track that can really accelerate my fitness on the pitch? Thanks
Armas, to which age group range is this video directed? Speed & Agility (heavy focus on Balance on Coordination for the younger ones) never stop at the top academies such as Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund etc... and continues with the 1st Team. If you take most youth players, even if they practice 2X-3X per week and play game once each weekend and have them do isolated Agility drills, majority will be inefficient at proper execution.
Yes basics and a foundation is solid! A player is never too old or too experienced to perform basic yet essential drills. Check on my how to train youth video. This specific video is purely focused on increasing linear top speed. ONE quality of the many needed for athleticism. “Linear sprinting is the number one action before critical playing scenarios” such as catching an amazing through ball before scoring or running back for a counter attack.

Make sure you follow me on Instagram I posted this months ago
Yes will do
how much should the ratio of rest be during change of direction drills

That really depends on the event that you’re doing. Best way to find out is to play a game and see how fit you feel.

if 60s per 10 meters, if i do sprint of 20 meters i should rest 120s?
and if i do sprint of 20 meters i should do this sprint for 10 time? total 200
That is correct. Keep in mind team training volume. Like I state in the video starting at around 150m is a lot better.
Hey coach, so about the volume where it says between 200-400 meters, do you mean 200-400 meters in a day, or a week?
A day, but like a said a sweet spot for footballers because of all the running that you already do is 150 m.
People speak like we have stats of our genetics like a fifa card my dudes you can't tell if you have good genetics or not until you try 😂😂😂
Right? 🤣
If I train consistently, approx how much time it’ll take to get results
Try it out and find out
🌟Question : how many total sets of plyometrics in one speed session ?
