Want to take moment to thank the crew of L204 from June 1987 ... the CO (then-CPT Ilangkovan) and his crew were welcoming to a bunch of NCC (Sea) cadets for a voyage across the South China Sea. As a teenager, the experience was once in a lifetime! The expertise of the crew and their warmth was truly appreciated! The video has some familiar faces from that voyage ... BZ!!!
I was on-board 204 at 1986.and we sail to taiwan kaoshiong and keelonug port for almost two months. this trip is transport army and air force vehicles and weapon for exercise. is a unforgettable trips. 204 is really like a big family. 😊
Those are the days which ferry me from Changi pier to Pulau Tekong . I remembered damn it was slow like a turtle which toke more than 45 mins to Tekong pier 😂 but it’s a sweet old memories I had with my rest of company mates . Nevertheless thank you all for your service and dedication to made this country we build safe from harm ! Majulah Singapura 🇸🇬
Does any navy captain ever have the feel like this: "when it was my first time commanding soldiers, everyone is my decision to protect their life and (country commitment towards)", can I know the stories of such life when it happens, like "am I the only one knowing danger (in a country)?"(Must have this feelin too), to know like an essay in a file?
Thank you very much for your dedicated service over the years,,,,,, awesome ,,,🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Back in those days, we had a saying: do first, complain later. Yes we were champion grumblers, but we were also expert seamen.
Remembering the good old days. I was crew of RSS Excellence L202. That was the best days on the Navy, other than 195 Squadron.

I remembered seeing the 2 LSTs parked near Sentosa Island and facing P Brani from Mount Faber. A show of RSN's strengths.
My dad (Maj Simon) was captain of L204 RSS Resolution for many years. He would have loved this video. RIP dad.

Were they ultimately scrapped, used for target practice, turned into reefs, or as museum ships?
Thank you for your service salute 🫡
