Molly was standing front of a green screen. The green Rick rack in her outfit transformed into the green screen.
The molly birthday dress just seems like they used a green screen for the background and the green on the molly dress just happen to match the green screen colour. I don’t think It was intentional
I think what it means is it’s Addy’s birthday month , because they celebrate it every year, because she can still be purchased new at a few of the stores, and online…. I doubt a rerelease because technically she never left . It would be great if AG would do a few special limited release of a few of the cubed dolls outfits .
If they ever do a historical pre BeForever rebrand I will shit my pants from excitement, my guess is that if it happens it may happen in the next 2-5 years.
Edit: the Addy in the video is the current version you can tell with the feathered eyebrows. Addy also was wearing her og meet outfit in the catalogue historical section. For Molly they used a green screen so the green rickrack was affected.
Ahh I totally see it now with the rickrack, definitely green screen. The eyebrow thing is super interesting!
Original Addy and Josefina as well as Kirsten are back for a limited amount of time. I can't wait to purchase Addy's birthday dress. I already purchased Addy's original cinnamon pink striped dress for my Beforever Addy years ago.
It’s the current version of the beforever addy I was at the store constantly and all the dolls on the shelf look like the one from this TikTok plus historical classic addy would have the lined eyebrows

I have a first edition Addy with the lined brows and I was today years old when I noticed that current Addy has feathered brows 😂 wow. They suit her though!
And I really hope Addy's birthday outfit comes back. I recently had to stop myself from spending FAR too much for a second hand Addy's birthday outfit, so I'd love to get it from AG for a more reasonable price. The more classic historical releases we get, the happier I'll be!

I'm glad I was right about this one! It is so hard to predict these things, but I had some "spidey senses" going off with this one.
I'm sure American Girl social media has access to older dolls, Assccories and clothes that are no longer available. That they use for their doll posts that's just my guess
If it comes true, then my Kit will have to own a Addy birthday dress.
The Rick rack is green using the green screen it matched the same color of green screen background so it made the Rick rack blue it's the color background of the green screen.
I hope so! The birthday dress isn't my favourite, but I'd love to see more of the old sets released.
I think it's a beforever doll judging by the feathered eyebrows which the 35th anniversary version doesn't have, but of course that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
I'd love for them to rerelease her Christmas dress if they do decide to rerelease them. Also the eyebrow thing is super interesting. I wonder why they decided to change it between the new renditions of the dolls.
I see AG bringing the original Addy back.
