I don’t plan on buying the adult clothing. American girl should focus on bringing back the historical dolls original clothing and furniture. I would totally buy that
If a American girl was really interested in increasing revenue from the original AG children, they should consider making adult sizes with the original fabrics. I still remember being and getting Samantha‘s nightgown. I would love to have it one more time as an adult. Adult AG costumes make me think of the SNL skit, lol. I have seen a past Rubies doll costume that was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, that would be pretty cool to have considering the Wicked Costumes. I am happy somebody at Mattel finally got it together. I love the new and I still want the Historicals! Great Video as always!

I've been wanting to dress up as Felicity since I first saw the movie as a little kid!! I probably couldn't get the costume because money but still would be amazing if others got the opportunity to have a dream come true like that!!
I would LOVE for American Girl to produce women's plus sizes of the outfits/costumes. Not only those, but for the Dress Like Your Doll line, paper dolls, posters, Felicity, and certainly the mini dolls for every historical character including the latest ones, dating back to Courtney.
Well Mattel made a Plus Size Barbie doll a few years ago. So I don't see why American Girl can't make Plus Size clothing.
They should also consider bringing back the online games that were original to the sixth American girls. My favorite games were Addie‘s button game, Samantha‘s baking muffin game and felicities horse race. What do you guys think?

Rubies commented that they will have adult sizes as well! I’m not sure what will be available in adult sizes but I will totally buy a matching dress with my doll!! ❤❤

We will definitely purchase the outfits unless they are hundreds of dollars. We search for them but they are way too expensive. So, hopefully, AG makes them affordable. If they are affordable, we will purchase multiple outfits. The pictures you showed were so exciting. Hope AG keeps having more of these super exciting releases!

Yes, I would definitely be willing to shell out some $$ if there was a good quality American Girl historical outfit in my size! Especially if it was something I could wear without it being obvious that it was a costume.

I think these will truly be costumes, made with costume fabrics. The reason is simply this: cost.
The Dress Like Your Doll outfits for girls were VERY expensive, which is why you don't see many on the secondary market today. Not many were purchased! Girls' versions of Felicity's and Samantha's gowns cost upwards of $100 thirty years ago! Adjusted for inflation, we're talking $250 or so for girls' clothing! Size inclusive outfits with good materials and workmanship would be more like $325 or $350. Who can pay that?
Oh this is exciting and fun! I still have two dress-like-your-doll outfits from when I was little. I cherish them but definitely can’t wear them anymore 😂 I’m not expecting the highest of high quality from these new costumes, but that’s okay! Just crossing my fingers there will be something that fits me 😅
I've been thinking about making a Charlie Brown t-shirt and black shorts for my boy dolls. Seeing how the My Life one looks I could just scribble the black zigzag design on it. I've held off making it due to not deciding how to do it. May experiment with permanent markers to see if they run or just cut out the black zigzag from black jersey and sew it on the shirt. Whatever I decide it should look a lot better than what My Life has to offer. I hate their cheaply made outfits.
My Dollar Tree carries fabric paint from time to time, I think it would work.

I bought that for the hat and fanny pack. Socks are super cheap and, of course, the skates are hard plastic. I sold the skates and socks.
P.S. I also bought two different Hello Kitty accessory sets. Just didn't like that the plates had stickers instead of a painted design on them. And the hot chocolate and whipped cream is stuck in the cups. I wanted those for the coffee cups without liquid stuck in them. Didn't expect much for $8 so I'm ok with it.

Because I have a disability, my income is with my parents. They are in charge of my rep payee account and helping me pay bills and everything because what I’m trying to do is get an education but I can’t do it by myself. I already have a boyfriend and he’s saying up people to help me work and do things that I want to do and take care of my family a.k.a. my parents.

I just got the My Life As Snoopy outfit. It's so cute 🥰
My daughter has spent well over a $100 or more for a costume and I had to then take it all in and it took me all day to refashion the dress too! The costumes she purchased were made of costume material and looked like a costume but not all costume material is cheap. Some are made for stiffness on purpose and others are light weight due to the design of the dress, it would be too much bulk or be to heavy in weight or for gathers. All these need to be considered for dress design plus much more I am sure. What I don't like is satin with Velcro or even sweater material. That snags and ruins the fabrics. That needs to be addressed by AG. Who wants to pay $50.00 or more for a doll outfit only to snag on first try! Thank you!
